  1. 1
12 147,589/2 WHAT IS(CLAIMED)IS:1. A method for controlling the integrity and the authenticity of a message containing software generated by a transmitting station and transmitted to one or more reception units, the message comprising an identification part, a data part and at least one control block comprising service information, characterised in that this method consists in generating and including, in the control block, a control information representative of the result of a function called mono-directional and clash-free, carried out on all or part of the data.
  2. 3
The method according to claims 1 or 2, characterised in that it consists in adding to the control block a certificate representing a cryptogram of all or part of the data, delivered by an external authority enabled to certifying data.
  3. 4
The method according to one or the other of the previous claims, characterised in that it consists in transmitting the control block in the form of a signature representing a cryptogram resulting from an operation of encrypting on all or part of said control block.
  4. 5
The method according to the claims 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that it consists in adding to the control block a signature representing a cryptogram resulting from an operation of encrypting on all or part of said control block.
  5. 6
The method according to the claims 4 and 5, characterised in that this operation of encrypting is of the type based on a key called private. 13 147,589/2
  6. 7
The method according to the claims 1, 2, 3 or 5, characterised in that it consists, during reception, in memorizing the information of the control block, of calculating the values representative of the result of a function called mono-directional and clash-free carried out on all or part of the data, verifying the calculated values with those received, and rejecting the data if the two values differ.
  7. 8
The method according to the claims 4 or 5, characterised in that it consists, during reception, in memorizing the information of the control block, in deciphering the control block containing the values by a algorithm of decoding, in calculating the values representative of the result of a function called mono-directional and clash-free carried on all or part of the data, in comparing the calculated values with those contained in the deciphered control block and rejecting the data if the two values differ.
  8. 11
The method according to one or the other of the previous claims, characterised in that the receiver unit can periodically or on request calculate the values representative of the result of a function called mono-directional and clash-free carried out on all or part of the data in operational memory, verify the calculated values with the memorized reference values and reject the data if the two values differ. 14 147,589/2
  9. 13
A receiver unit for software message comprising a processor, an operational memory containing data representing software, and control information, characterised in that it includes means for calculating a function called mono-directional and clash-free on all or part of the data, means for comparing the result with the control information as well as means for informing an external entity if the two values Hx and Hy differ.
