Use of protein kinase c inhibitors to enhance the the clinical efficacy of oncolytic agents and radiation therapy

The subject of the invention is the use of protein kinase C inhibitors for the production of pharmaceutical preparations for improving the clinical effectiveness of antitumor agents and radiation therapy. In terms of application according to the invention, protein kinase C<-isozyme selective PKC inhibitors are preferred, especially (S)-3,4-N,N'-1,1'-((2<-ethoxy)-3<'(O )-4<'-(N,N-dimethylamino)butane)-bis(3,3'-indolyl))-1(H)-pyrrole-2,5-dione or its salts. Such PKC inhibitors increase the clinical effectiveness of antitumor drugs and radiation therapy when used together.
