The present invention relates to a stroller and, more specifically, to a stroller with an adjustable backrest.
Conventional strollers normally include a set of legs having front and rear legs, a seat frame which pivots on the front and rear legs, a backrest having left and right support rods hinged to the seat frame, and a seat frame. positioning unit. The positioning unit has two cooperation pins and two positioning seats, each pivoting on a respective rear branch and each being provided with a plurality of cooperation grooves. Each of the cooperation pins protrudes from a respective one of the left and right support rods to temporarily cooperate with a groove chosen from among the cooperation grooves of a respective positioning seat. Each of the positioning seats can rotate upward and downward between a cooperating position in which the respective cooperating pin engages with the groove selected from among the cooperating grooves, and a separating position in which the respective cooperating pin cooperation is separated from the groove selected from the cooperation grooves. A release member comprises two thrust members each slidably mounted on a respective rod among the left and right support rods, each in contact with a lower face of one of the respective positioning seats, two return members each mounted on a respective rod among the left and right support rods above a respective push member and each connected to the respective push member, and a handle having a link connected to the pushing members so that a pulling of the handle causes an upward displacement of the pushing members against the return force of the return members and with then upward displacement of the positioning seats towards the separation position which then allows 1 adjustment of the backrest to the desired position. Each positioning seat is returned to the cooperative position under the action of gravity when the pulling action of the handle is removed.
Conventional strollers have a disadvantage that since each positioning seat is simply placed on the respective cooperation pin in the cooperative position under the action of gravity, it tends to separate from the respective cooperation pin. In addition, a greater travel distance of the handle and a greater pulling force are necessary for the adjustment of the position of the backrest when the latter is in the low position.
Consequently, the object of the invention is a stroller which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks.
According to the invention, a stroller comprises: a set of legs, a seat frame mounted on the set of legs, a backrest that has a support frame that can pivot on the seat frame so that it allows the support frame to rotate around a first axis, and a positioning unit which includes an elongated positioning seat having a rear end which can pivot on the branch assembly to allow rotation of the positioning seat about a second axis which is parallel to the first axis, and a front end section opposite the rear end and connected to the support frame so that it is movable, the positioning unit further comprising a first cooperation member formed on the positioning seat, a second locking member. cooperation mounted so that it is movable on the support frame and disposed above the first cooperation member, and a return member, the second cooperation member being movable up and down on the support frame between a cooperation position, in which the second cooperation member is engaged with the first cooperation member, and a separation position, in which the second cooperation body is separated from the first cooperation body, the return member recalling the second cooperation member so that it exerts a downward pressure against the first cooperation member when the second cooperation member is positioned in the cooperation position.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will be better understood on reading the following description of exemplary embodiments, made with reference to the appended drawings in which:

Figures 1 to 8 show a stroller according to the invention. The stroller comprises a set 2 of branches having front and rear branches 21, 25 and several wheels 26, a seat frame 27 mounted so that it can pivot on the front and rear branches 21, 25 of the set of branches. 2, a backrest 3 having a support frame 30 which can pivot on the seat frame 27 to allow rotation of the support frame 30 about a first axis, and a positioning unit 4 which comprises an elongated positioning seat 42 having a rear end hinged to the arm assembly 2 to allow rotation of the positioning seat 42 about a second axis parallel to the first axis, and a section d. 'front end opposite the rear end and movably connected to the support frame 30. The positioning unit 4 further comprises a first cooperation member 61 (see FIG. 4) formed on the positioning seat 42, a second cooperation member 62 movably mounted on the support frame 30 and placed above the first cooperation member 61, and a return member 63 (see Figure 5). The second cooperation member 62 is movable up and down on the support frame 30 between a cooperation position (indicated in solid lines in Figure 9) in which the second cooperation member 62 cooperates with the first member of cooperation 61, and a position of separation (indicated in broken lines in FIG. 9) in which the second cooperation member 62 is separated from the first cooperation member 61. The return member 63 recalls the second cooperation member 62 so that it exerts a downward pressure against the first cooperation member 61 when the second cooperation member 62 is in the cooperation position.
Positioning seat 42 includes elongated left and right seat rods 421 each having a rear end which pivots on a respective rear branch 25 of the branch assembly 2 via a pivot pin 43, and a front end section having a first elongated slot 425. The support frame 30 has two left and right hollow support rods 31, each pivoting on the seat frame 27 via a pivot pin 32 and rising from this location. The positioning unit 4 further comprises two connecting pins 411 which each protrude from a respective one of the left and right support rods 31 and into the first slot 425 of the front end section of the respective left or right rod. 421 to allow simultaneous rotation of the support frame 30 around the first axis and of the positioning seat 42 around the second axis for adjusting the position of the backrest 3 relative to the seat frame 24.
The first cooperation member 61 comprises two cooperation plates 422 each mounted on a respective rod among the left and right rods 421 and each formed with several cooperation grooves 427. The second cooperation member 62 comprises two cooperation pins 46 which each protrude from a respective one of the left and right rods 31 to cooperate with a groove chosen from among the cooperation grooves 427 and exert downward pressure against a respective plate. cooperation 422 by a recall action of the recall member 63 when the second cooperation member 62 occupies a cooperative position.
Each of the left and right support rods 31 is made with a second elongated slot 73. Each of the cooperation pins 46 extends respectively into the second slots 313 formed in the left and right support rods 31. The return member 63 has two coil springs 45 each mounted in a respective one of the left and right rods 31 above the cooperation pins 46 and each fixed to one of the respective left and right rods by a fixing pin 47. A release member 5 comprises two connection blocks 44 each mounted so that they are movable in a respective one of the left and right rods 31 between a respective cooperation pin 46 and a respective coil spring 45, each connected to a respective pin. cooperation 46 and in abutment each against one of the respective coil springs 45. The release member 5 further comprises a link 54 which is connected to the cooperation pins 46 and which can be operated to apply an upward pulling force to the cooperation pins 46 despite the return action of the pins. helical springs 45, so that an upward movement of the second cooperation member 62 towards the separation position is permitted.
The backrest 3 further comprises a linkage unit 35 which extends between the left and right support rods 31, is articulated thereon and comprises two first articulated connecting rods 332 and two second articulated connecting rods 333 which can pivot respectively on the first connecting rods 332 to allow folding of the backrest 3 (see FIG. 8).
A bracket 51 is formed with two curved slots 514 and is mounted on the rear side of the linkage unit 33 (see figure 3) by two locating pins 55 which extend from the linkage unit 33 into the curved slots 514. to allow folding of the linkage unit 33. An operating lever 53 pivots on the bracket 51 on a pin 57 forming a pivot so that it can rotate about a third axis which is parallel to the first and second axes and is connected to the link 54 so that the rotation of the control lever. operation 53 in the direction away from the square 51 causes the application of an upward tensile force to the second cooperation member 62 towards the release position.
As the first cooperation member 61 is repelled by the second cooperation member 62 by the restoring force of the member 63, the aforementioned tendency to unwanted separation of the first and second cooperation members can be eliminated. In addition, the arrangement of the first and second cooperation members 61, 62 and of the positioning seat 42 makes it possible to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks of the long travel distance and the large traction force required in the conventional stroller.
Of course, various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art to the strollers which have just been described by way of non-limiting example without departing from the scope of the invention.
