The present invention relates to a universal and tamper-proof burglary protection device for all types of containers which is fixed on the articulation levers of the locking bars. The protection of containers is currently ensured by conventional padlocks that can be easily broken by any means.
Since the spacing of the container closing bars is not always the same from one container to another, the protection system described according to the invention overcomes this drawback.
The safety block seen from the front (fig. 1/12), has a T shape surmounted by the protective cover and consists of the external face of the two main plates.
In relief relative to the surface of the plates, there are two rectangular elements 135 mm long, 40 mm high and 20 mm deep. These elements are located 14 mm from the upper edge and 15 mm from the outer edge. Their function is to imprison and make inaccessible the captive nut.
The device also makes it possible not only to block the opening of the doors but also to prohibit the manipulation of the locking levers of the bars of the container (FIG. 2H2).
The invention consists of 12 elements (fig. 3/12) including a series of 8 machined parts ^ which, when assembled, form a compact universal and adjustable block which consists of the following elements:
• Two main plates receiving all the other elements.
• Two holding hooks.
• A protective cover which prevents the bars from coming together.
• Two extensions allowing adaptation to the spacing of the container bars.
• An assembly and locking axis.
• Two BTR screws in 200 pitch 16 mm in diameter and 35 mm long.
• Two BTR screws with a pitch of 150, 10 mm in diameter and 20 mm long.
• A MASTER type cylindrical spring loaded padlock.
The present device, seen from the inside, breaks down as follows:
1) - Two 8 mm thick steel plates with the appearance of a large hinge (fig. 4/12 - 5/12)
The first plate (fig. 4/12) consists of two rectangles:
One of 160 x 100 mm, the other of 100 x 60 mm. These two rectangles are joined together by a weld with an overlap of 40 mm.
The inside of this plate has 25 grooves 2 mm deep, 75 mm high and 5 mm apart. These grooves are located 14 mm from the upper and lower edges of the plate and 20 mm from the free edge and 25 mm from the other edge. In the area with the grooves, the plate is perforated with an oblong slot of 105 mm by 16 mm and located 30 mm from the upper edge and 30 mm from the side edges. This slot in which slides a 16 mm hard steel nut trapped in a slide, allows adjustment according to the spacing of the container bars by means of a BTR screw with a pitch of 200 measuring 16 mm in diameter and 35 mm long. At the left end of the plate is attached a hollow stainless steel cylinder 7.85 mm thick, 40 mm high, 24 mm inside diameter and 40 mm outside diameter.
At the lower left corner of this plate is welded an 8 mm thick steel box, reinforced on its outside, with an 8 mm thick steel plate. The side walls of the cabinet are made of steel 5 mm thick and 25 mm deep. They are perforated with two holes allowing respectively the passage of the key and that of the padlock push button. At the upper end of the box and the lower edge of the plate, a flat iron 5 mm thick by 50 mm long and 25 mm high is attached. The padlock box measuring 80 x 43 mm in internal dimensions, is intended to receive a padlock with a cylindrical spring-loaded pushbutton of the MASTER type used for locking the assembly axis.
At the bottom of the box, there are two extra thicknesses of 10 mm intended to ensure the centering of the padlock. At the upper edge of the box and from its left end is attached a flat iron 5 mm thick, 50 mm long and 25 mm high.
The internal dimensions of the box as well as the location of the holes for the passage of the key and the push-button can be modified according to the size of the padlock available.
The second plate fig. 5/12) of identical dimensions to the previous one, has the same grooves and the same oblong slot as the first plate.
It has at the right edge two hollow stainless steel cylinders 8 mm thick, 29 mm high, 24 mm inside diameter and 40 mm outside diameter added by welding at the upper and lower ends of its edge. law.
2) - Two holding hooks (fig. 6/12 - 7/12)
These two retaining hooks are symmetrical and are cut from an 8 mm thick steel plate measuring 180 mm x 150 mm. This plate has six notches arranged as follows:
For the right hook inside view (fig. N ° 6/12 A)
The first notch, located at the lower left corner measures 55 mm x 55 mm. A flat iron 5 mm thick by 35 mm long and 20 mm high is welded at the upper edge of the notch.
The second notch located at the upper left corner measures 80 mm long by 10 mm high. Between the second and the third notch, the plate is folded inwards into a half-loop of 35 mm inside diameter (fig. 6/12 B). The third notch, located 45 mm from the upper edge, measures 63 mm long and 22 mm high. The fourth notch located below the previous one measures 63 mm long by 23 mm high.
The sixth notch located below the previous one is 53 mm long and 35 mm high.
A hole of 16 mm in diameter allowing the passage of the anchor screw is located 38 mm from the upper edge of the plate and 28 mm from the straight edge. On the external part of the half-loop, is reported a striking cleat. This square steel strip, 12 mm in section and 40 mm high, is intended to allow the device to be positioned using a hammer in the event of sheet metal deformation.
For the hook seen on the other side, there are five grooves 65 mm high by 30 mm wide, located 10 mm from the left edge. These grooves, spaced 5 mm apart, have a depth of 2 mm.
For the left hook inside view (fig. 7/12), it is exactly symmetrical to the right.
3) - A protective cover for the device with adjustable extensions (fig. 8/12) The protective cover for the device with adjustable extensions, is located above the universal block.
It consists of the following elements:
The main room has
A steel plate 20 mm thick measuring, seen from above (fig. 8/12 A), 170 mm long by 50 mm wide, is perforated with a hole 24 mm in diameter located 85 mm in lengthwise and 21 mm from the top edge and 28 mm from the bottom edge.
On the upper face of the plate and at the base of the hole is reported a steel cylinder with an outward facing axis stop flat. This cylinder measures 20 mm high, 32 mm inside diameter, 40 mm outside diameter. On either side of the cylinder are added two trapezoidal reinforcements measuring 50 mm at the base, 30 mm high, 20 mm at the top and 45 mm on the side. The steel plate carries at each of its ends a circular notch of 40 mm to a maximum depth of 10 mm.
The underside of the plate (fig. 8/12 B) is reduced to 40 mm wide by a shoulder. It represents at each of its ends a series of 11 grooves allowing the adjustment of the extensions. It has in its center a chamfer of 40 mm in diameter by 10 mm deep, allowing it to be embedded on the upper cylinder of the plate shown in diagram No. 4/12 - Interior view. On each side of this lower face, and 15 mm from the ends, there is a threaded orifice with a pitch of 150 with a diameter of 10 mm. This hole is 15 mm from the edge corresponding to the flat. This orifice allows the extension of the extensions to the required length by means of a 10 mm diameter threaded BTR screw.
The two extensions (fig. 9/12 - 10/12) one right and one left are perfectly symmetrical.
The straight extension consists of a 10 mm rectangular steel plate measuring 100 mm long by 40 mm wide. It has at one of its ends, a circular notch 40 mm in diameter, penetrating it 10 mm. A steel reinforcement 5 mm thick, trapezoidal in shape, measuring 80 mm at the base, 25 mm high, 50 mm long and 40 mm on the side is welded 6 mm from one of the edges of the plate.
An oblong slot 45 mm long by 10 mm wide is located 15 mm from the other edge and 40 mm from the circular notch. On the upper face, there are a series of 11 grooves identical to those present on the lower face of the main part of the protective cover.
4) - The assembly and locking axis (fig. 11/12)
It is cut from a steel cylinder 32 mm in diameter and 180 mm long. At 7 mm from its upper end, it is dug with a groove 5 mm deep intended to facilitate its extraction. At 40 mm from this same end, it is shouldered over a length of 140 mm by 24 mm in diameter. It is perforated with a central chamfered hole on both sides of 11.5 mm in diameter, the axis of which is located 123 mm from the shoulder. This flat is parallel to the axis of the hole from which it is 145 mm apart. At the lower end of the assembly axis, a slight chamfer allows the positioning of the axis.
To take into account the existing offset at the articulation levers of the new containers, Figures 12/12 and 12/12 bis show a variant of the system.
The various elements of the invention can be produced either by machining and forging or by casting from a mold.
