In general, a private switchboard system (PBX) receives an incoming call from a line of a switchboard (CO line) or from an inside line, and it transmits an outgoing call to the CO line or the inner line.

In the case where a common line (a telephone set) is used by a plurality of subscribers, when the incoming call from the CO line or from the inside line is received at the used telephone set by a desired called party, by switching the PBX system, it is impossible to distinguish the party sought by the caller and therefore someone must notify the recipient of the call. by going off-hook to connect a communication circuit between the caller and the called party. Referring to Figure 1, a conventional call connection method will be described below.

In the conventional structure of Fig. 1, a call generated from a subscriber CO line 11 is transmitted to a PBX system 31 through a CO trunk system 21. To prevent loss of the call and to deal with the difficult problem, there is provided an improved conventional method of connecting the call such as a method of using a paging system. The paging system includes a display method on a paging receiver and a simulation method.

In the display method on a paging receiver, an absent subscriber not only involves a complicated procedure for transmitting a call signal back after confirming the number of the calling subscriber displayed on the paging receiver, but also a loss of a call already transmitted, and consequently, it is impossible to make a communication in the case where the calling subscriber uses an exclusive transmission line such as a public telephone set.

Compared to the advantage of display on a paging receiver, it is convenient for a subscriber (called subscriber) to make a call by entering their extension number at any one of a plurality of telephone extensions. internal subscriber in the simulation process even if he is absent from the location assigned to him. But in the case where a telephone set is owned by a plurality of subscribers, it is difficult to connect a call with the called subscriber depending on the presence or absence of the called subscriber at the designated location. That is, because it is impossible to determine which subscriber is called for the call, when a call signal is received in such a case, the connection of the two respective subscribers is possible only after someone has picked up the telephone extension of the called subscriber.

The objective of the present invention is to create a call connection method for connecting a call directly and quickly with a corresponding subscriber, whether the called subscriber is absent or present in the vicinity of an interior line (telephone set). corresponding to the called subscriber, by a paging system to overcome the above-mentioned problems, in the case where a telephone set is shared by a plurality of indoor subscribers.

The present invention provides for this purpose a method for connecting a PBX system with a private paging system and for connecting a call according to a certain response after sending a paging by radio to a paging receiver. corresponding persons, a specific number being assigned to each of the internal line subscribers.

Referring to Figure 2, a configuration of the system of the present invention includes a CO trunk system 21 connected with a CO trunk subscriber telephone set 11, a PBX private switchboard system 31 having a plurality of internal subscriber telephone sets 41 to 49 for establishing a communication between the subscriber of the CO trunk system 21 and the indoor subscribers of the PBX system 31, or between the indoor subscribers, a paging control unit 51 connected to the PBX system 31, for controlling a paging signal corresponding to a specific indoor subscriber number, and a paging transmitter 61, for transmitting a paging signal to a respective paging receiver of a plurality of paging receivers 71 to 79 by the control of the paging control unit 51.

In this system the called subscriber recognizes a call signal requesting it not by a telephone set ringing signal but mainly by a paging receiver signal.

An example of an embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 2 and 3.

First, a specific number is assigned to each inside subscriber, the number of which is greater than the number of the inside subscriber telephone sets 41 to 49, and a paging receiver corresponding to the respective specific number is assigned to each of the. domestic subscribers. Assuming that a specific number of a paging receiver 79 is 0003, the PBX system 31 transmits the called number 0003 to the paging control unit 51, and an incoming call requesting an inside subscriber having the number. specific number 0003 is sent from the CO trunk system 21 or from the inside subscriber 41 to the PBX system 31.

The paging control unit 51 calls the paging receiver 79 corresponding to the number 0003 through the paging transmitter 61 by radio paging. Since the PBX system 31 maintains the radio paging call for a period of time, the ringing signal of the inside subscriber telephone set is not produced.

In the case of creating a correspondence table for a group of paging receivers 71 to 79 on an indoor subscriber telephone set 49, the holder of the paging receiver 79 picks up the telephone set 49 (in assuming that the indoor subscriber telephone set 49 is number 0003) and the PBX system 31 establishes the communication link between the indoor subscriber telephone set 49 and the CO trunk 21, or the interior subscriber 41.
