The present invention relates to an article making it possible to produce a plant-based decoration (plants, cut flowers, etc.) which is simple to produce and easily transformable.

A plant or floral arrangement generally consists of a bouquet of cut flowers in a vase or an arrangement of plants in a more or less dressed pot.

The shape and variety of arrangements find a limit in the structure of the vase or pot which, in addition to keeping the plants together, serves as a support for these compositions by presenting a lower surface by which the article can rest on the ground, any table or plan.

The present invention intends to provide a decorative article by which the presentation of the floral arrangement is modified thanks in particular to a support of the plant or plants different from traditional pots or vases. This support makes it possible to arrange the plants in a space devoid of support plans or shelves and, in a preferred embodiment, to achieve color combinations not only by the game of flowers or plants but also by that of colors. of the substrate in which the flower or plant is planted.

To this end The invention therefore more precisely relates to a decorative article comprising at least one plant and a support for this plant which comprises at least one pocket produced by the linear junction of two superimposed plastic panels, forming a receptacle for a substrate in which the plant is planted.

At least one wall of the pocket has a rib produced by a fold of one of the panels obtained by linear junction of the panel on itself.

Advantageously, the interior volume of at least one of the folds is in communication with the interior volume of the pouch via its lower part without a junction line.

At least one of the plastic sections is transparent, and according to a secondary characteristic_zOne of the sides is made of a more rigid material than that of the other side.

In a variant, the article of the invention comprises a plurality of pockets produced on a panel capable of suspension eyelets. Finally, the support may also include a base from which the said pocket is suspended.

The invention will be better understood during the description given below by way of a purely indicative and non-limiting example which will make it possible to identify the advantages and secondary characteristics thereof.

Referring first of all to FIG. 1, it can be seen that the article according to the invention comprises a plant 1 (plant or cut flower), a support 2 forming a receptacle for a substrate 3 in which the plant is planted. The support 2 is made in the form of a pocket by folding a sheet material (plastic material) and gluing the two sides of the folded sheet along a seam chosen according to the shape desired for the support. For example, the support 2, shown in FIG. 1, is made from a rectangular sheet, folded back on itself, the two panels thus formed being substantially square. The fold being located at 2a, the panels are heat-welded, if the plastic material is suitable, or are glued at 2b along the side of the square adjacent to the fold 2a. A pocket is thus produced, the shape of which can be worked by making one or more folds on one or the other of its sides. We see two of these folds 4 and 5, obtained by gluing or heat-sealing the sheet on itself along a line 4a, 5a oriented towards the point 6 of the pouch. These folds constitute stiffening ribs for the support and can advantageously play the role of a sprinkling water reserve. Indeed, with regard to the fold 4 for example, the junction line 4a is interrupted in the vicinity of the tip 6 which allows communication between the interior volume of the fold 4 and the interior volume of the pouch through which the water poured into the fold 4 can pass into the substrate 3. It is of course possible to vary infinitely the possible shapes of the support 2. In particular, this support may comprise, in addition to the ribs and the supply and water reserve channels, several compartments which may each contain substrate in which different flowers or plants are planted. .

This support will advantageously be made of transparent plastic. We will thus be able to see the color of the substrate used, which can be potting soil but also any synthetic substrate (plastic foam. Rock wool, fibers, aggregates, etc.), which may or may not contain hydrophilic materials and which can be variously colored.

Finally, the support will have at least one eyelet to allow it to be hooked or suspended.

It should also be noted that if in the example shown the material of the support is identical whatever the side, it is possible to produce a support in accordance with the invention by assembling sheets of different characteristics. One of the sheets, for example, can be much thicker or much more rigid than the other so as to constitute a bottom panel on which the other sheet is pleated applied on this panel. Likewise, one of the leaves can be colored and the other transparent. In addition, the sheets may not have the same final dimension, one being able to extend far beyond the other.

FIG. 2 illustrates for this purpose an alternative embodiment of the decorative object or article according to the invention in which each of the supports 8 is produced by a common bottom panel 9 provided with suspension eyelets 9a and on which are added several folded and ribbed leaves 10 of different contour in order in particular to be in harmony with the nature of the corresponding plant.

Finally, in FIG. 3, it can be seen that a decorative object according to the invention can be associated with a base 11 (here tubular) by means of the suspension eyelets 7a, 7b which it has. The set constitutes a vase for cut flowers or a pot that can rest on a plan for plants or rooted plants.

The article according to the invention has many advantages. First of all, the manufacture of the stand is very cheap. Then, this support before filling takes up only a Limited volume, which makes it very easy to sell it by mail order alone or with an assortment of substrates, seeds and instructions for making home plantings. The support can also be suitable as didactic or teaching material in order to illustrate a planting, a germination, a rooting of a plant, or a layering, a cuttings ...

In addition, this support allows the use of a smaller amount of substrate (potting soil or soil-less cultivation substrate) than traditional pots, taking into account the ability to easily adapt the shape of the support to the shape of the plant. and its root. Due to the fact that the decorative article can be of low weight, that it has a water reserve allowing it a much greater autonomy than a conventional pot allows, that the support has a simple hooking eyelet facilitating its packaging in cardboard window packaging, it becomes possible to consider distribution to the general public, of the big-box store type, rare or fragile plants usually reserved for the distribution channels of retail florists. It is even possible in this way to provide a mass distribution for bunches of cut flowers planted in a suitable hydrophilic substrate.

Moreover, the plastic sheet materials being very varied, the support of the article according to the invention may be intended to constitute, in addition to the container of the necessary or vegetable substrate. The packaging Itself of the plant or the bouquet, which it suffices to suspend or associate with a base to enhance it.

It should also be noted that the invention lends itself to multiple applications. It is thus, among other things, that it can constitute a support for advertising inscriptions or decorative elements added to the plastic material by screen printing. The content can also be associated with supports of shape and nature different from those of the tubular support of FIG. 3. It may be a rigid plastic body which itself constitutes a support for another article (clock, calendar, photographs, etc.) and which comprises means for retaining the pocket. These retaining means may for example consist of a lateral groove formed in this body receiving a bead of the pouch (in particular a weld allowance or a small rib). This rigid body can be formed by an extension of one of the constituent elements of the container if it has sufficient rigidity or thickness.

Of course, the plastic material used can be transparent, translucent, colored, treated to form a screen against ultraviolet rays ....

The invention finds an interesting application in the field of the horticultural industry.
