The present invention relates to electrical machines. The invention relates to a synchronous magnetic reluctance motor, characterized by the fact that it comprises a beautiful rotor as that described in the French patent application n ° 70/42910 filed the same day by the Applicant for Rotor for synchronous electric machine and a stator winding arranged around this rotor and capable of 'be connected directly to a single-phase alternating current source so as to' produce · a rotating magnetic field.
Thi s 'motor' may include a phase change device which may, conveniently, be a capacitor or a resistor, or the stator winding may include windings having different electrical resistances so that there is an offset of phase between these windings.
The aforementioned French patent application describes rotors for electrical machines with synchronous reluctance. Essentially or mainly constituted by solid magnetic steel, or another solid material having similar magnetic properties, and having substantially the shape of a cylinder having a effective magnetic asymmetry. These rotors can be very economical to manufacture. Combined with a stator as described above, such a rotoi / gives an extremely economical motor.
The description which follows by way of nonlimiting examples and with regard to the appended drawings is only intended to make it clear how the invention can be put into practice.
FIG. 1 schematically represents a first embodiment of an engine according to the invention.
FIG. 2 also schematically represents a second embodiment of an engine according to the invention
FIG. 3 represents a connection diagram for the motor of FIG. 1.
( The synchronous magnetic reluctance motor illustrated in FIG. 1 has a rotor 11 made of solid magnetic steel. Its stator has field coils 12 and 13 arranged around the rotor, a pair 13 of coils beingr0 directly connected / to an alternating current source,
42911 while the other pair 12 of coils is indirectly connected to the same source via a capacitor 14 which serves as a phase change device. These coils 12 and 13 produce a rotating magnetic field which causes the rotor'11 to rotate.
The motor illustrated by FIGS. 2 and 3 has a two-phase wound stator 21 made up of windings A and B. The winding B may have a resistance different from that of the winding A or else it may be mounted in series with resistance R.
