- 1RÉSUMÉ. 7^ Miroslaw BRYLINSKL Far procuration :E. The purpose of this additiori certificate is to specify a new embodiment of the "Hydrocarbon vapor lamp" forming the subject of the invention patent, 5 no. 453.604 of January 5, 2014.
In this patent, the liquid to be vaporized is kept under pressure, this pressure being obtained by pumping, by the action of its vapor, into a closed tank,
I '> supplying the lamp (s) with the hydrocarbon at the desired pressure, the hydrocarbon contained in a tank, heated by an auxiliary burner and communicating by a pipe provided with a suction valve,
5 with a tank open to the air. This discharge of the hydrocarbon is interrupted when the pressure in the closed tank reaches a determined value.
The two embodiments of the patent • 'O of invention No. 453.604 described two different ways of intiTompompress this repression.
Depending on the embodiment forming the subject of this addition certificate, the delivery pressure is obtained by communicating, with the tank open to the open air, the heated tank, as soon as the pressure reaches a value determined.
To this end, there is in the pipe connecting these two tanks, a valve, controlled by a hollow metal tube 3manometric, the interior of this tube communicating with the closed tank, under pressure. This valve is only opened when the pressure in the closed pressure tank exceeds this determined value. 3:
It therefore simultaneously plays the role of a pressure regulating member and a suction valve, analogous to the valve (9,82) of the invention patent.
The attached drawing schematically represents this pressure adjustment device.
The different parts are designated by the same reference numbers as in FIG. 1 of the invention patent.
A closed tank 13, serving as a compressor 4, is heated by an auxiliary burner 2, connected by 3, on line 4, leading to the burners providing lighting. These are supplied with pressurized hydrocarbon from a closed tank or pressure chamber 5 ′ 6, in which the hydrocarbon is maintained at the pressure required for the following device:
The reservoir 7, open to the air, contains Érix du fascictüe; 1 franc,
LAMPS AND MATCHES.
. 2 [453.604] mant the hydrocarbon to vaporize, communicates by a line 8 with the tank or compressor 13 heated by the auxiliary burner 2. This compressor i3 communicates on the other hand, with the tank closed 6 by a line 10, provided with a check valve 11.
A valve 9, mounted on line 8, is controlled by a hollow metal pressure gauge tube 20 held by a return screw 21; the interior of this pressure tube 20 communicates, via line 201 with the tank closed under pressure 6.
The valve 9 is kept closed on its seat, in normal times, when the pressure is not too high (at 1 1/2 atmosphere for example), so as to avoid any communication between the tanks 7 and i3.
This valve 9 is moved away from its seat by the pressure tube 20, when the 1 pressure in the closed tank 6 exceeds a determined value (4 atmospheres for example).
All the system being filled with petroleum, we start by heating the compressor or tank 13 by igniting the alcohol contained in a cup surrounding the auxiliary burner 2; as soon as the lamp is on, this burner will replace this alcohol boiling, by lighting it with its flame.
As a result of heating, the pressure rises inside the compressor 1 3, the hydrocarbon passes through the valve 11, enters the closed tank 6 and causes the pressure to rise in this chamber; the hydrocarbon under pressure goes from there to the lighting burners, and, by connection 3, to the auxiliary burner 2.
At the same time as the pressure rises in the closed tank 6, it acts on the pressure tube 20. As soon as this pressure reaches a determined value (4 atmospheres for example), the aianometric tube 20 opens the valve g, the compressor 1 3 communicating with the reservoir 7, the pressure in this compressor i3 drops 45 suddenly, the valve 11 closes and interrupts the communication between the tanks 1 3 and 6, as long as the burners have not consumed the quantity of hydrocarbon stored under pressure in the closed tank 5o 6.
The opening of the valve 9 has the effect of communicating the reservoir 13 with the supply reservoir 7 so as to allow the introduction into the reservoir i3 55 of a certain amount of oil. The valve 9 closes as soon as the pressure in the tank has dropped to the pressure provided for the closing of this valve (1 .1 / 2 atmosphere for example). θο
