The present invention relates to a packaging case for coins remarkable in that it consists of two circular bottoms, perforated or not, in semi-flexible plastic material joined in parallel by several peripheral bars allowing, by elastic deformation, the stacking of coins between said bottoms of the case as well as their withdrawal, the assembly, suitably filled, constituting a roll of coins of a determined total value.

Such a packaging case makes it possible to see the nature of the parts it contains as well as the control of their number without any unpacking manipulation, hence a definite advantage over the usual paper packaging.

According to one embodiment, the packaging case of dimensions suitable for receiving a type and a. number of coins of a given value consists of two semi-flexible plastic retaining rings paired in parallel by four equidistant and rectilinear peripheral bars molded with them, the whole determining a kind of squirrel cage in which can be stacked a number of coins engaged therein by elastic deformation of two of the four aforementioned parallel bars.

According to a variant of packaging case, the capacity bars between which the coins are housed are arranged obliquely or helically relative to the cylinder formed by the stacking of coins, this arrangement ensuring by elasticity a permanent tightening of the stack of coins. .

Whatever the design mode adopted, the retaining rings of the parts forming the ends of the case can be replaced either by solid disks coming from molding with the bars as before, or by a bottom and a ring, the latter being able to have an internal diameter slightly greater than that of the parts in order to allow their engagement from the top of the case, the ring receiving in this case a washer or a removable closing ring.

Finally, the constituent parts of the packaging case may possibly be constituted by separate parts joined by gluing or by welding.

Figure 4 is a perspective view on a smaller scale of the case of Figure 1 showing the mode of engagement of the coins therein;

Figure 5 shows in partial perspective a method of manufacturing the case in which an adaptable washer, shown during insertion, ensures the retention of parts;

Figure 6 shows a similar view after installation of the retaining washer.

Referring to the drawing and according to one embodiment, the packaging case, established so as to receive a certain number of pieces P of a given value and of a determined type, is constituted by two rings 1, extreme , made of semi-flexible plastic with an internal diameter slightly smaller than that of the parts P which they must provide for retention, the said rings being paired in parallel by four peripheral strips 2, equidistant and straight coming from molding with them, the assembly determining a sort of squirrel cage in which said pieces P can be stacked which fit into the space delimited by the bars 2, their engagement between them being effected by elastic deformation of said bars as shown in Figure 4 of the drawing.

According to a variant (fig. 3), the two rings 3 closing the ends of the case are joined together. Parallel by peripheral bars 4 arranged obliquely or helically relative to the cylinder formed by the stacking of parts P in such a way that as and when the engagement of said pieces, the bars 2 straighten and slightly increase the length of said case in order to facilitate the insertion of the last piece making up the stack. After filling the case, this arrangement also ensures, under the effect of the elastic return of the bars 4 which tend to return to their initial position, permanent clamping of the parts P against each other.

According to a manufacturing method, facilitating the demolding of the case, the inside diameter of at least one of the extreme rings of the latter, slightly greater than that of the parts P, is equal to the distance separating two bars diametrically opposite, the retention of said parts being ensured by a washer 6, or a disc, having peripheral notches 7 allowing its engagement between the bars 8 as shown in FIG. 5 until abutting against said ring 5 (fig. 6).

Whatever the design method adopted, a case-packaging thus constituted allows direct vision of the parts it contains, hence an ease of control of the nature, quality and quantity of said parts, the whole can also be weighed with certainty since the tare of the case is always the same for a given type of parts.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown but on the contrary extends to all variants of shapes, materials and dimensions as well as to all objects, having a generally circular shape, such as medals , buttons, washers, etc.
