Bed table.

The present invention relates to a bed table capable of being quickly fixed to a metal bed base, or to an box spring, with or without bed wood (fig. 2).

Figure 1. - It is fixed using a simple screwdriver on a metal base. Four screws c fix the part a on the part b, the assembly trapping the angle of the box spring; Figure 6, a needle screw d is provided to fill the void of the angle iron, it can be screwed according to the orientation of the angle iron in part a or b which have a tapped hole. If the bed base is mounted with flat iron or U-iron, the needle screw is no longer useful.

Figure 7. - For a wooden bed base, only the part a is fixed to the frame of said bed base using four wood screws, removing the wood from the bed: parts a and ύ are made of cast aluminum.

The bent steel tube h has a vertical groove at its bottom.

A sleeve / which has a locking screw ga for the purpose of adjusting the height of the table, the screw g locking in the groove of the tube.

The table top n which can be made of wood, or any other material, is held on the horizontal part of the tube h by means of two cast aluminum bearings i and j.

Figure 3. · - This tray is adjustable: a horizontal position and an inclined position allow bedridden people to read, write or receive meals: Figure 5. these two positions are stable thanks to a simple and quick locking system which is placed in bearing j; it includes a steel ball m, a spring 1 and a screw k for blocking the ball in the spherical housings drilled in the tube li a centimeter from the end.

The ball is placed by itself in the housings of the tube using the spring; screw k blocks the ball.

This locking system is rock solid.

The table can be attached to the right or left of the bed. the housings drilled in the tube are provided so as to be able to tilt the plate in both directions.

Figure 4. - In order to be able to use the table in an armchair or a lounge chair, it is planned that it can be fixed on a foot.

Figure 3. - This foot o is made with steel tube bent in U. On the transverse part of the U is welded a small piece of tube p so that you can securely fix the piece of cast aluminum q with three screws ; this part is intended to hold a tube r which has at its upper part a sleeve 5 with a clamping screw t. In this tube r slides the tube h of the table; the screw t is blocked in the groove of the tube h and keeps the table at the desired height.
