It has already been proposed to use solar heat for the production of hot water by means of heat absorbers subjected to solar radiation and in which water circulating in a thin sheet supplies by thermo-siphon a hot water accumulator. thermally insulated.
These known devices have two types of drawbacks. On the one hand, the water circulating in the heating circuit being the same as the consumption water put in reserve in the accumulator, it quickly forms on the metal surfaces of the absorber, a crust of tartar which s' opposes absorption and heat exchange.
On the other hand, the action of the absorber being exclusively daytime and subject to meteorological conditions, the known devices do not make it possible to have a hot water reserve available at any time with security. ''
The inventive overcomes these drawbacks.
On the one hand, the absorber circuit is closed on itself and distinct from the accumulator supply circuit, the supply of calories to the latter taking place via a heat exchanger mounted on the absorber circuit and arranged inside the accumulator.
On the other hand, solar heating is combined with an additional electric heating, the operation of which is automatically controlled by a thermostat as a function of the temperature of the heated water.
The accompanying drawing schematically shows a practical embodiment of the invention.
The installation shown comprises a solar heat absorber or a battery of absorbers arranged side by side and constituted by an impermeable and insulating block 1 closed by a glass slab 2 by reserving a space 3 of small thickness, in which a circulation thin sheet of water. These absorbers are inclined at the most favorable angle to receive the maximum of solar rays and are connected to two pipes 4 and 5 penetrating respectively into the upper part and into the i - 41092 lower part of an insulated tank 6 constituting a heater. accumulation water.
These two pipes are also connected to each other inside the tank 6 by a heat exchanger 7 constituted for example in the form of a coil.
The accumulation tank 6 is on the other hand supplied with cold water at its lower part by the tube 8 and comprises at its upper part a hot water outlet tube for use 9.
In the closed circuit 3-4-5-7, the water heated in the absorber 3 will circulate by thermo-siphon in the direction of the arrow, the water arriving hot at the upper part of the tank 6 coming out cold in 5 after having abandoned their calories thanks to exchanger 7, to the water contained in this tank. The hot water rises to the upper part to be evacuated as needed by the pipe 9 and is replaced by cold water arriving at 8.
The closed circuit of the absorber will obviously include a filling valve 10 and an expansion tank 11.
To deal with irregularities in solar heating, the installation is completed by a heating circuit adjustable by thermostat. This additional heating will for example consist of an electrical resistance 12, the circuit of which is controlled by a thermostat 13 according to the temperature of the water in the tank.
The thermostat is adjusted according to the difference between the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature resulting from solar heating alone, and according to the minimum temperature that the water of use must always present, so as to always use the maximum heat solar.
