Bent angle of insulating glass spacer frame and method of its manufacture
The invention relates to a bent angle in a spacer profile cavity profile of an insulating glass, the inner wall of which has a cut which partially extends to the side walls in the angular region. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing an angle according to the invention.
The bent angle according to the species definition is known from EP-A-0 003 715. This angle has the disadvantage that the intermediate areas between the cuts cause undesired and uncontrolled distortions in the angular area. These distortions can be e.g. concave or convex bends in the inner wall of the hollow profiles or outwardly compressed parts of the inner walls so that there are no flat side surfaces in the area of the bent angle e.g. for a passing butyl strip or similar sealing means. However, flat surfaces, especially in the corner area, are an important prerequisite for the interior of the insulating glass to be sufficiently well sealed against the outside air.
Although the flat surfaces have been obtained at a bent angle according to U.S. Pat. No. 3,380,145, which has been chamfered, the rigidity of this bent angle is very small, since the angular region is supported only by the outer wall. The low stiffness makes it very difficult to handle the frame.
The aim of the invention is to provide a curved, highly rigid angle, with the flat side surfaces and flat surfaces of the inner side wall, whereby the manufacture will be simple.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that in the angular region the free transverse edge of the inner wall formed by the cut goes over the transverse edge of the inner wall running perpendicular to this inner wall, whereby a protrusion is formed. Preferred embodiments of the invention appear from the dependent claims 2-8. Kek761 81 The method according to the invention is characterized in that the side walls are then preferably carried out simultaneously by supporting the bending so that the free transverse edge of the wall is brought over the wall, whereby it protrudes above the free transverse edge of the wall.
With regard to the drawings, the invention will be described in more detail by means of examples. In this case, Fig. 1 schematically shows a side view of a spacer frame cavity profile for insulating glass, Fig. 2 schematically shows a cross-section of a spacer frame profile, Fig. 3 shows a side view of a bendable corner area, Fig. 4 shows a bent angle.
The substantially one-part adsorbent-filled spacer frame cavity profile comprises four bent corners 1,
2, 3 and 4, which are made similar. In the area of the sliding edges 6, the frame 5 is firmly sealed together, for example by spraying a sealant and / or a sealant (not shown). In the inner wall 7, the frame 5 includes holes 8 known per se, which are for the exchange of gas between the interior of the insulating glass and the drying or adsorbent in the cavity of the profile ring 5.
The profile ring 5 has flat side walls 9 and 10, a flat inner wall 7 perpendicular to the side walls and an outer wall 11.
It is essential that the transverse edge 15 of the wall 7 in the corner area 12 of the interior 13 of the periphery 5 continues at the free end 14 in the wall 7a perpendicular to the wall 7 (Fig. 4), so that the area 14 is located inside the hollow profile. This ensures that flat surfaces are maintained in the corner area when the corner is bent.
The solution according to the invention is achieved when the hollow profile 5a is made mainly by milling an opening 16 (Fig. 3) which penetrates the side wall and has a substantially rectangular shape in the wall 7 and an angular U-shape in the walls 9 and 10 when viewed from the side.
761 81
The length of the opening 16 should be b, which is smaller than the depth T of the profile 5a. The difference is equal to the protrusion 14. The ratio b / T is mainly in the range of 1: 1.1-1: 1.5. The depth of the angular U-shaped opening 16 in the side walls 9 and 10 is preferably deeper than the wall thickness of the profile; it is essentially the 0.1-1.5th part of the walls 9.10 of width B.
According to a particular structure of the invention, the opening 16 in the side walls, seen from the side (Fig. 3), has an angular U-shape in which the side edges 7 taper towards the wall 7.
The length b and the skew and depth of the edges 17 in the angular U-shaped section 16 of the opening of the side walls 9,10 are matched so that any holes in the side walls 9,10 which may arise from the section 16 at the bent angle do not occur, i.e. the side walls also form a flat closed area. surface. This is surprisingly achieved by the features of the invention. It is advantageous if, when bending the angle, care is taken to ensure that the side surfaces meet the fixed support surface.
The method of manufacturing an angle according to the invention is characterized in that a rectangular cut is made in the wall 7 of the spacer cavity profile 5a which partially reaches the side walls and forms an angular U-shaped cut there and then the bending is performed by supporting the side walls so that the free 7 comes above the free transverse edge 15a of the wall 7 by a protrusion 14, which may be e.g. 1-3 mm.
So that there is no more substance in the opening 16 and the length of the opening is less than the circumferential depth of the hollow profile, no compression zone is created which could cause the wall 7 or 7a to curve.
It is particularly advantageous for the method described in patent P 32 33 399: 4 to spray a seal and / or a sealant at a bent angle. Thus, the shape resistance of the angle can be significantly increased. By spraying the molten glue, the irregularities in the walls of the cavity profile in the corner area can be removed.
