Prediction of activity session for mobile network use optimization and user experience enhancement

Systems and methods for predicting activity sessions to optimize mobile network usage and improve user experience are described. According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention include a method that can be implemented in a system for improving a user experience with a mobile application running on a mobile device, including using user activity characteristics on the mobile device and server activity characteristics on the host server to predict an upcoming activity session on the mobile device and transferring the upcoming content from the host server to the mobile device for pre-caching the content on the mobile device to support predicted data activity for the predicted upcoming activity session.
