Method and apparatus for transmitting a reference signal in a wireless communication system

A method for transmitting a reference signal, which is related to an Uplink Control Physical Channel, PUCCH, in a wireless communication system, the method being performed by a user equipment, UE, and comprising: cyclically shifting a base sequence for the reference signal based on a value selected from a set {0, 3, 6, 8, 10}; transmitting uplink control information, UCI, on the PUCCH to a base station, wherein the UCI comprises a hybrid auto-repeat request, HARQ, acknowledgment, ACK,/negative acknowledgment, NACK, signal; and transmitting the reference signal to the base station, wherein the length of the base sequence for the reference signal is 12, and wherein the reference signal is transmitted based on the cyclically shifted base sequence for the reference signal a the base station.
