A surgical device (10), comprising: a jaw assembly (300) including a first jaw (308) and a second jaw (306) movable relative to the first jaw; a link assembly (1230) including a distal link member (232), a proximal link member (234), and a pivot pin (505) fixedly coupled to the distal link member (232) and securely engaged rotatable to the proximal attachment member (234), wherein the distal attachment member (232) releasably engages a proximal end of the jaw assembly, wherein the proximal attachment member (234) defines a first longitudinal axis ( AA), and the jaw assembly and distal attachment member (232) define a second longitudinal axis (CC) extending between a distal end of the jaw assembly and a proximal end of the distal attachment member (232); and a first drive shaft (1218a) disposed within the proximal link member (234), the first drive shaft including a gear element (1570) in mesh with a rotary gear element (572) fixedly coupled to the locking pin. pivot (505), wherein longitudinal movement of the first drive shaft rotates the jaw assembly relative to the proximal attachment member about a pivot axis (BB) defined by the pivot pin, the pivot axis being perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis (AA) and the second longitudinal axis (CC), wherein the first transmission axis includes a proximal stop (1219a) and a distal stop (1219b), and a thrust plate ( 1218b) is fixedly connected to the proximal attachment member (234), positioned between the proximal and distal stops, and slidably attached to the first drive shaft to prevent longitudinal translation of the first drive shaft past the proximal and distal stops.
