Rendering a dental model in an image

Procedure for displaying a virtual dental model (1) in an image (20) of a face comprising at least one inner buccal region of the face, the inner buccal region comprising some teeth (31) and a bottom of the buccal cavity ( 35), characterized in that the procedure comprises the following steps: - using an image restoration algorithm - to calculate, on the basis of the background pixels corresponding to the fundus of the oral cavity (35), some background pixels calculated for at least a part of the tooth pixels of the image ( 20), the tooth pixels corresponding to the teeth (31), and - to replace at least a part of the tooth pixels with calculated background pixels, at least partially removing the teeth (31) from the image (20 ); and - displaying the image (20) with the teeth (31') at least partially removed, the image (20) being superimposed on a representation (21) of the dental model (1).
