Carrier assembly for a harness

Abstract

A carrier assembly for a harness (1) for carrying a backpack accessory, the carrier assembly comprises a back plate (10) including connections for the shoulder straps (2) and an interface plate (20) adapted to be attached to backpack accessory, wherein the back plate (10) comprises a coupling interface (12) on a rear face (10a) thereof arranged to removably connect to a corresponding coupling interface (22) on a front face (20b) of the interface plate (20), wherein the coupling interface (12) of the back plate (10) comprises two parallel raised ridges (13a, 13b), each of which has at least one projecting flange (14a, 14b) and has an L-shaped cross section with the flanges (14a, 14b) facing each other or in the opposite direction, and the coupling interface (22) of the interface plate (20) comprises the corresponding raised ridges (23a , 23b), each of which has at least one projecting flange (24a, 24b) and has an L-shaped cross section with the flanges (24a, 24b) facing in the opposite direction from the corresponding flanges (14a, 14b) from the back plate (10), wherein the raised ridges (13a, 13b; 23a, 23b) are arranged so that when the back plate (10) and the interface plate (20) are aligned with each other and come together in a translational or linear motion parallel to the raised hills (13a, 13b; 23a, 23b), the flanges (14a, 14b; 24a, 24b) slide into a locking latch relative to each other to retain the interface plate (20) on the back plate (10), characterized in that a first end of the raised ridges (23a, 23b) of the interface plate (20) each comprises a locking projection (25a, 25b) that extends in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the raised ridges (23a, 23b) and that face each other, wherein the back plate (10) comprises a pair of resilient locking tabs (15a, 15b) arranged to engage locking engagement with the locking projections (25a, 25b) at the end of translational or linear movement between the plate. interface (20) and the back plate (10) parallel to the raised ridges (13a, 13b; 23a, 23b).
