DESCRIPTION
Novel portable vibration device
Field of the invention
The embodiments herein generally refer to portable devices according to the preamble of claim 1. More specifically, the embodiments described herein relate to a novel portable vibration device for muscle treatment. In particular, reference is made to a soft portable module that provides deep, high-energy vibration in muscles and soft tissues, to increase circulation of blood flow, and to lengthen and stretch muscles.
Background of the invention
The latest generation of health care devices is increasing the ability of humans to treat physical conditions in an immediate moment. Today, the fusion of electronic devices with and around the human body is increasing in most modern technologies. Many of the emerging devices for treating health problems are in the form of wearable or implantable technologies. In today's age, the adaptation of wearable devices can offer monitoring as well as alleviate multiple human health problems.
In general, muscle pain is the symptom of many diseases, disorders, or injuries. The most common causes of muscle pain are due to injury, strain, overuse or overuse of a muscle, a genetic disorder, or chronic strain. Various treatments are available to treat muscle disorders. Most significantly, the vibrations transmitted to the muscles are very effective and act as an eminent tool for recovery and rehabilitation from such disorders. The intensities and frequencies of the vibrations can be chosen depending on the effects and types of the disorder.
The vibrations used on or within the muscles work on the principle of frequency and amplitude. Furthermore, these vibrations can be adjusted to a specific location in the body and energy can be transmitted to that location. Among a variety of effects, vibrations can induce nuclei within cells to trigger the release of osteoblasts, which are necessary to form bone.
Today, wearable muscle therapy technology is a growing field, guaranteeing huge opportunities for innovation in the field of medicine and fitness. Most portable muscle therapy devices are harder, bulky, and portable vibratory devices or fixed in a position, where a user cannot move the body freely. Additionally, portable devices on the market provide relief only to certain specific regions and are not intended to directly transmit vibration to muscle and joint areas in a portable format, for specific treatment programs.
Therefore, there is a need for a novel portable vibration device with modifications to overcome the problem associated with the prior art. In addition, there is a need for a novel portable vibration device to deliver deep vibrations to the muscles and soft tissues and to target vibrations, to the muscle and joint areas with respect to specific treatment programs, such as recovery from injury or fatigue. Still, there is a need for a novel portable vibration device suitable for a wide range of sports, recovery and therapy uses.
Documents US 2014/228721 A1, US 2013/102937 A1 disclose a portable vibration device comprising a housing composed of an upper fabric foam cover and a lower fabric cover base, internal components including a vibration motor, a battery and a PCB.
Document EP 2 767 269 A1 describes an elongated flexible panel, formed from a single piece of material duplicated on itself. However, this flexible panel does not have holes.
WO 2014/099527 A1 describes a portable apparatus with a built-in pocket for a vibration device, but lacks holes corresponding to the number of vibration motors.
