Delivery system for ocular implant

A delivery system for placing an ocular implant (105) in an eye, the delivery system comprising: a proximal handle portion (310); a distal positioning portion (312) coupled to a distal end of the handle portion (310) and configured to releasably hold an eye implant (105), the eye implant (105) being an elongated element having one or more internal lumens, the positioning part (312) comprising a sheath (510) positioned axially on a guide wire (515), wherein the guidewire (515) includes at least one retention feature along a length of the guidewire (515) that helps retain the ocular implant (105) along the length of the guidewire (515) , and wherein the at least one retention feature includes a sinusoidal configuration along a length of the guidewire (515), the sinusoidal configuration comprising at least one curved region (524) configured to provide an interference fit between the guidewire (515) and an internal lumen of the ocular implant (105); and an actuator (420) coupled to a mechanism that releases the ocular implant (105) from the positioning portion (312) upon actuation of the actuator (420); and the ocular implant (105).
