DESCRIPTION
Collapsible Medical Oxygen Bottle Holding Equipment for Aircraft Passenger Seats
Object of the invention
The present invention relates to a medical oxygen bottle holding system, specifically to medical oxygen bottle holding systems for airplane seats.
Background of the invention
People with some type of respiratory dysfunction require ventilation through auxiliary oxygen cylinders. In the case of medical care inside means of transport, securing the oxygen bottles is of great importance, in order to be able to supply oxygen to patients without the risk of the bottles moving or falling on the patient as well as to that they remain in an upright position all the way.
US20120139304 describes a seat for ambulances or the like specifically designed to house oxygen tanks.
In the case of air transport, there are currently different systems for applying auxiliary oxygen in the event of depressurization of the aircraft, such as those described in US5154374, but in the case of medical assistance aircraft, the oxygen cylinders must be able to be removed from the aircraft together with the patient, which makes it necessary to have adequate systems to hold the bottles if necessary, specifically when the patient is seated and that the restraint system can be put on or taken off as needed. A fire extinguisher holder is described in US 5 975 475 A, which could also be used to hold medical oxygen bottles.
Description of the invention
The present invention relates to a fastening system for medical oxygen bottles for airplane seats.
The restraint system described in claim 1 is a folding universal restraint system that adapts to most seats on the market, easy and quick to install.
The fact that the equipment is foldable allows it to be easily stored and transported when not in use, like a normal suitcase, thanks to a series of axis of rotation of the pieces strategically arranged in the equipment.
Likewise, the equipment allows fixing two oxygen bottles to supply oxygen to two patients, one on each side of the equipment.
The medical oxygen cylinder holding equipment comprises three main parts:
a base configured to be positioned on the passenger seat;
- an intermediate holding structure for oxygen bottles parallel to the base, joined to the base by three legs, each one comprising a first end joined to the intermediate structure and a second end joined to the base, comprising at least one of the two ends of each leg have an axis of rotation common to the base or to the intermediate holding structure;
a gripping structure comprising an opening connected to the intermediate clamping structure by at least one axis of rotation common to the intermediate clamping structure.
When the equipment is in its deployed position, the intermediate holding structure is arranged at an intermediate height of the oxygen cylinders and the holding structure perpendicular to the base. When the equipment is folded, the
ES 2 653 721 T3 intermediate holding structure and the holding structure are positioned parallel to the base.
The equipment being fixed to the passenger seat by a seat fastening system that includes the seat belt itself and two straps fastened at one end to the grip structure and at the other end to the seat belt fastening hardware. of the seat itself.
Description of the drawings
To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of a practical embodiment thereof, some drawings are attached as an integral part of said description. Illustrative and not limiting, the following has been represented:
Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an oxygen cylinder fixing equipment, according to a preferred embodiment.
Figure 2 shows a side view of the equipment of Figure 1.
Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the equipment of Figure 1 unfolded, without the oxygen cylinders.
Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the equipment of Figure 1, folded.
Preferred embodiment of the invention
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the medical oxygen bottle holding equipment for aircraft passenger seats, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, comprises a base (1), an intermediate holding structure (2 ) and a gripping structure (3).
The base (1) is positioned on the base of the passenger seat (23), and comprises two cylindrical housings (12, 12 ') 20 for the base of each oxygen bottle (11, 11').
The intermediate holding structure (2) for oxygen bottles (11, 11 ') is arranged parallel to the base (1) and comprises two U-shaped housings (13, 13') and a closure piece (14, 14 ') for each housing (13, 13'), each housing being configured in a U-shape (13, 13 ') and its closure piece (14, 14') to embrace each oxygen bottle (11, 11 '). The closure piece (14, 14 '), in fact, as can be seen in figure 3, comprises two ends, one fixed (16) with a common axis of rotation to the U-shaped housing and another removable end (17) that allows the oxygen bottle to be placed and once it is correctly positioned, the closing piece is closed by fixing its removable end, thus preventing the oxygen bottle from moving or displacing its position. The intermediate fastening structure also comprises two slots (26, 26 ') for the accommodation of two straps (27, 27') fastened at one end to the slots (26, 26 ') and at the other end to the mooring hardware. (28) of the seat belt (25) of the seat itself (23).
The intermediate holding structure (2) is attached to the base (1) by three legs (4, 5 and 6), each one comprising a first end attached to the intermediate frame (2) and a second end attached to the base (1). The first fixed leg (4) comprises a first end attached to the intermediate holding structure (2) by a common axis of rotation, and a second end attached to the base (1) by a rotation axis (8) common to said base (1). This first leg further comprises a slot (22) for housing the seat belt (25) of the passenger seat, when the equipment is in its deployed position. The second and third legs (5, 6) are removable and each comprise an end fixed to the base (1) by a common axis of rotation (8 ', 8' ') to said base (1) and a second end joined to the intermediate holding structure by means of a removable pin (9).
The gripping structure (3) comprises:
ES 2 653 721 T3
- a main body joined to the Intermediate clamping structure (2) by two axes of common rotation (7, 7 ');
- two latches (10, 10 ') for holding the upper part of the oxygen bottles (11, 11');
- An adjustment piece (18) consisting of a bolt (19), through the grip structure (3), comprising a first end fixed to a support cone (21) to the seat back, configured to rest on the back (24) of the seat when the equipment is in its deployed position, and a second end fixed an adjustment wheel (20) arranged on the face opposite to the back (24) of the seat of the grip structure; Y
- A flexible handle (15) that facilitates the transport of the equipment, both in its folded and unfolded position.
When the equipment is in its deployed position, as shown in Figure 3, the intermediate holding structure (2) is located at an intermediate height of the oxygen bottles (11, 11 ') and the The grip (3) is perpendicular to the base (1), however, when the equipment is folded, as shown in Figure 4, the intermediate holding structure (2) and the grip structure (3) are place both parallel next to the base (1).
