TECHNICAL FIELD.

The object of the present invention, as expressed in the statement of this specification, refers to a protective garment with the general configuration of an arm or vest, which gives the user mechanical protection against impacts and cuts preferably for people who They use brushcutters, chainsaws or the like in forestry, gardening, agriculture.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

There are certain work activities related to the cleaning of both public and private spaces (forests, parks, gardens, margins or ditches of roads and paths, etc.) such as logging and clearing, which require the use of brushcutters, chainsaws, lawnmowers , and other normally hand-held machines, which due to their mode of operation and high power, are capable of hitting and projecting different types of particles (stones, wood fragments, or debris) at high speeds, which can damage the most exposed parts of the operator's body.

Some of these machines, such as chainsaws, can be especially dangerous because, due to distraction or simply by operator fatigue, the cutting element can easily reach and injure the individual.

To avoid such damage, various types of protections are used.

Specifically, as far as the operator's trunk is concerned, there are models of jackets and vests that protect against puncture and cuts, made of synthetic materials that are closed at the front by means of buttons, zippers and / or velcro®.

However, this configuration has the disadvantage that, being precisely the area of ​​the chest the most exposed to impacts, it is precisely the most vulnerable when the buttoned or zipper zone is found therein.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In order to overcome this inconvenience, the novel protective garment has been designed, object of the present technical report.

In general terms, the present invention relates to a protective garment with a

ES 2 575 792 B1 configuration similar to an arm or vest that offers an integral protection of the operator's torso, being this maximum in the most exposed area, the front part and presenting the closing zone, objectively more vulnerable, in the back, where exposure to impacts and cuts is less.

Specifically, the novel protective garment consists of a vest-shaped body, closed by the front area, which has two wings on the back, one short and one long, located on the left and right of the body, which overlap by closing the garment, this position being secured by suitable closing means.

On the sides of the garment two openings are provided through which the arms are introduced, over which shoulder straps are preferably provided with a vertical shoulder designed to protect the user's neck.

The fixing of the wings is carried out by means of a side clasp that protrudes from the longest wing, which is overlapped to the smaller one by the external zone and that is coupled in a loop provided in the body of the garment. This brooch can be part of a small belt and incorporates adjustment means to more or less wrap the body of the garment to the individual.

Optionally, the novel protective garment incorporates complementary closing means, preferably constituted by one or more magnets integrated in one of the wings, corresponding to a ferromagnetic element incorporated in the opposite wing, so that when the user puts on the garment and Release the wings (at that time separated) they tend to join and overlap themselves due to the magnetic attraction of the elements, taking a pre-set position.

Being overlapped, the user picks up without difficulty the brooch that has been placed on its side and easily inserts it in the loop, adjusting the end of the belt to suit the correct fit of the garment.

The garment is made of perforation and cut resistant fabric and a piece of cushion padding, made with flexible material preferably polymeters such as polyethylene foam, EVA rubber, rubber etc., or a sandwich of different types of said materials, capable of cushioning and distribute the force of an impact on a large surface.

The front area and shoulder pads can incorporate rigid protective elements distributed in such a way that they do not limit the user's movements.

Thus, the new garment solves the objective problem posed by locating the closure elements in the less exposed area of ​​the operator without this being a disadvantage in terms of the ease of closing the garment.

DESCRIPTION OF A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE.

Specifically, the novel protective garment consists of a vest-shaped body (1), closed by the front area (2), which has two wings on the back, one short (3a) and one long (3b), located left and right of the body (1), which overlap by closing the garment.

On the sides of the garment two openings (6) are provided through which the arms are introduced, on which are provided shoulder pads (7) equipped with a vertical shoulder (8) designed to protect the user's neck.

The fixing of the wings (3a) (3b) is carried out by means of a lateral clasp (4) that protrudes from the longest wing (3b), which is overlapped to the smaller one (3a) by the external zone and that is coupled in a loop (5) provided on the body (1) of the garment. It also incorporates complementary closure means (9), preferably constituted by magnetic closure of magnets integrated in wings (3a) (3b).

The front area and shoulder pads incorporate rigid protection elements (10) distributed in such a way that they do not limit user movements.
