Integrated multi-functional endoscopic tool

A probe (10) for use through a working channel of a bronchoscope (A) comprising: a location sensor (120) at a remote end of said probe, said location sensor 100 usable in combination with a system of location (100) for determining a location and orientation of said remote end of the probe; an open working channel (20) extending axially through said probe and allowing a tool (400) to be passed through it so that said tool can extend beyond a distant tip (30) of said probe; an optical assembly (200), which can be used to communicate visual image data to a monitor of an optical observation system; a steering mechanism (500) capable of folding one end of said probe.
