ADJUSTABLE HARDWARE FOR THE INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT OF MEATS
IN AIRCRAFT
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention, as expressed in the statement of this specification, refers to an adjustable fitting for the installation and adjustment of airstrips in aircraft that allows the fine and precise adjustment of the cage it supports, also allowing this adjustment to be easily accessible from the outside and realizable with the hood fully installed.
More specifically, the adjustable hardware of the invention at hand has been developed to support canes that cover the resulting gap between the fuselage and the stabilizer in an aeronautical structure, when said stabilizer allows trim movements.
Thus, the use of adjustable and accessible hardware considerably reduces the adjustment tasks during the assembly process.
It should also be noted that the hardware of the invention allows the use of connecting elements to the structure of the aircraft that are not capable of generating problems in service and do not require access for installation and maintenance.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The type of supports used to date for the installation and adjustment of airstrips is based on a hardware that comprises a first part attached
<dl><dt>in solidarity </dt><dd>to the drawer from torsion through rivets from </dd></dl>
<dl><dt>double </dt><dd>cane (stud pins) Y a second part united to the </dd></dl>

sliding on a grooved surface that locks when assembling and applying the tightening torque to the nuts that support it on the rod free of the aforementioned double rod ends.
This adjustment has the disadvantage of requiring access to the installation area of the nuts that is located in the inner part of the fairing, since it is essential that the brackets are protected from the fairing so as not to penalize the aerodynamics of the aircraft.
This need for access converts the adjustment process into something laborious, since it is necessary to carry out a repetitive or repetitive process, control by means of gauges and disassembly, until the optimum position of the fairing is achieved.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In order to reach the objectives and avoid the inconveniences mentioned in the previous sections, the invention proposes an adjustable hardware for the installation and adjustment of airstrips, being particularly applicable to the sandwiches that cover the holes located in the confluence zones. of stabilizers with respect to the fuselage of the structure of the aircraft, so that the installation of these grips must be adapted to possible deviations in the geometry, both of the stabilizer itself and of the fuselage to be covered. Therefore, the carenas must be provided with a system of adjustment that allows the approach and separation of the installed fairing.
On the basis of this premise, the hardware of the invention is characterized in that it comprises: a base plate joined in solidarity with a torsion box of the stabilizer.
<dl><dt>-</dt><dd>a mobile support jointly and severally attached to the cowl and which guides, during a linear displacement, in said base plate. </dd></dl>
a regulation screw that engages in a
threaded base plate perforation, associated screw
this motherboard with the mobile stand, dragging the turn
of the aforementioned adjustment screw to the cowl in the
guidance of the mobile support guide, either in one direction
linear using the head of the adjustment screw and in
the opposite linear direction by means of a retention plate
associated to the adjustment screw.
The base plate in turn is characterized in that it comprises a lower base and a central body provided with the threaded bore where the adjustment screw is coupled, incorporating the lower base in turn.
10 lateral pipes that flank the central body and in which the mobile support is coupled and guided during its linear displacement to install and adjust the fairing against the external face of the fuselage. The mobile support is characterized by comprising a
fifteen bridge structure adapted to the central body of the base plate, bridge structure that extends outward in two coplanar extensions that fit and slide in the side ducts of the base plate. Another feature of the invention is that the
twenty bridge structure of the mobile support is connected at one end thereof to a front wall that is also part of said mobile support, front wall interrupted by a bottom recess in whose front bottom a through hole is defined opposite to the threaded bore of the
25 central body of the base plate, the head of the adjustment screw being housed in that lower recess facing a recess in the face that allows access to the head of the adjustment screw from the outside, so that the turn or in one direction of said screw
30 regulation draws the respective mobile support by means of its head and therefore to the fairing, adjusting it frontally against the internal face of the fuselage with interposition of a sealing profile fixed perimeter in the corresponding fairing, moving
this in turn in the direction of the guidance of the mobile support during its installation and adjustment. When the adjustment screw rotates in the opposite direction, it pulls the mobile support outwards by means of the retaining plate associated with the adjustment ring.
The mobile support includes a longitudinal rib attached to an upper portion of the front wall and is also attached to the bridge structure of such a mobile support.
The base plate is permanently attached, for example by rivets, to the surface of the component to be supported by the fairing (in this case the torsion box of the stabilizer). Since this connection is permanent and permanent, it is not subject to possible problems of lack of tightening torque in these fixings. On the other hand, it avoids the need for access to the drawers for the installation of the closing nuts of the traditional double-channel rivets (stud pins), so that these accesses penalize the structure by increasing its weight.
The motherboard comprises two independent parts! a first determined by the lower base and a second piece formed by a central body that joins the lower base at least two anchor points. This configuration facilitates the manufacture of the base support, reducing the complication of the machining of the lateral pipes.
Another feature of the invention is that the two independent parts of the base plate are joined together by a first screw that crosses the lower base by threading into a threaded hole located in the lower part of the central body and a second screw in combination with a nut, said second screw passing through the lower base and a terminal extension which is an extension of the central body.
The retaining plate is characterized in that it comprises an open recess whose edge fits into an annular groove of the adjusting screw, including the
retention against the inner face of the front bottom of the movable support, while against the outer face of said front bottom, the head of the adjustment screw stops, interposing a retention washer and braking of the regulation screw.
The hardware is also characterized in that it comprises anti-rotation locking means of the safety washer and retaining plate, means consisting of a retention element that crosses a portion of the security washer, the front bottom of the mobile support and also crosses a lower portion of the retention plate.
In order to reinforce the blockage of the improper rotation of the adjusting screw, a projection integral with a closure cap of the notch of the face is provided, a recess that faces the lower recess of the movable support, so that such projection adjusts in addition in a front drain of the head of the adjustment screw. The purpose of the retaining washer is the braking of the adjustment screw. This washer is attached to the hardware by means of a pin (retaining element) and once the movable support is adjusted, bending one of the washer's fins against one of the hexagonal head of the screw, the rotation of the latter is prevented.
Thus, the hardware of the invention at hand differs from those in the market in the following points:
<dl><dt>-</dt><dd>They have a regulation screw that allows adjustment. </dd></dl>
<dl><dt>-</dt><dd>They do not require the use of double rod rivets for installation, avoiding problems in service or during the adjustment process. </dd></dl>
They allow the adjustment from the outside, with the consequent saving of time. Then to facilitate a better understanding of this descriptive report and being an integral part of the
The same are accompanied by figures in which the object of the invention has been shown for illustration and not limitation.

DESCRIPTION OF AN EXAMPLE OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
Considering the numbering adopted in the figures, the adjustable fittings of the invention are intended to instigate and adjust grips in an aircraft and more specifically a carriage 1 covering a gap 2 located at the confluence of a horizontal stabilizer 3 and a fuselage 4 of A structure of the aircraft.
A fairing 1 is installed and adjusted by means of a set
<dl><dt>from </dt><dd>ironwork </dd></dl>
<dl><dt>So </dt><dd>well , every ironwork understands a license plate base 5 </dd></dl>

jointly with the respective face 1 and a regulation screw 8 that associates and joins the mentioned parts 5-7 and by means of which it is possible to generate a relative movement between them in the longitudinal direction of the regulation screw 8 itself, so that by rotating said screw, the mobile support 7 guided on the base plate 5 is displaced and therefore, the screw 1 is also moved with the rotation of the screw to fine tune its adjustment with respect to the external face 9 of the fuselage 4, without having to mount and disassemble the fairing several times during its installation and assembly as it has been happening conventionally.
The fairing 1 joins in turn with removable anchoring elements 24 (screws for example) to the mobile support 7 of the hardware, the fairing 1 being provided for this purpose with holes in which the said removable elements are installed and fixed.
Once each of the fittings has been assembled and connected with respect to the face 1 and the torsion box 6, recesses 10 located in a part of the face 1 and coordinated with the position of the different hardware, allow such recesses 10 an easy and convenient access to the head of regulation screws 8. In this way, it is not necessary to disassemble the fairing 1 by removing the screwed connection to the mobile support 7 of the hardware for its adjustment, as is the case with other conventional hardware.
Once the adjustment is finished, the adjustment screw 8 is locked to ensure the immobilization of the regulated fairing 1. Each recess 10 is covered with a closure element, such as a plug 11, to reduce aerodynamic and visual impact.
In an embodiment of the invention the system of
locking of each hardware and the cap 11 are combined, designing a plug that has the function of slowing the rotation of the regulation screw 8, thus reducing the number of elements of the assembly and consequently its weight, something fundamental in aeronautics (FIG. 4 and 7). For this, the cap incorporates a shoulder 34 that is housed in a front recess of the head of the adjustment screw 8.
Thus, by means of a set of fittings of the invention, an installation is achieved consisting of alignment of fittings that are independently adjustable, ensuring the correct position of the fairing 1 with respect to the fuselage 4, also ensuring a correct seal, since the careen 1 incorporates in its edge
<dl><dt>perimeter </dt><dd>a profile from sealed 12 that settles on the </dd></dl>
<dl><dt>face </dt><dd>external 9 of fuselage Four . </dd></dl>

where the adjusting screw 8 is coupled, incorporating in turn the lower base 13 lateral pipes 16 flanking the central body 14 and in which the mobile support 7 is coupled and guided during its movement to install and adjust the fairing 1.
The mobile support 7 comprises a bridge structure 17 adapted to the central body 14, and which extends outward in two coplanar extensions 18 that fit and slide in the brass pipes 16 of the base plate 5.
In turn, the bridge structure 17 is connected at one end thereof to a front wall 19 where a lower recess 20 is defined in whose front end 25 there is a through hole 21 facing the threaded bore 15 of the central body 14 of the base plate 5, the introduction of the adjustment screw 8 being initiated through said through hole 21, the head of said screw 8 being housed in that lower recess 20 and faced with the respective recess 10 of the face 1, so that the
one turn of the adjustment screw 8 draws inwards, by means of its head, to the respective mobile and support 7 and therefore to the face 1, adjusting it frontally against the external face 9 of the fuselage 4 with interposition of the profile of sealed 12 fixed on the perimeter edge of the face 1, moving in turn in the direction of the guidance of such mobile support 7. On the other hand, when the adjustment ring is turned in the other direction, it drives the mobile support 7 outwards by means of a retaining plate 23 fitted in a groove 31 of said adjustment screw 8.
The front wall 19 has a upper portion that joins the bridge structure 17 of the mobile support 7 by a longitudinal rib 22.
The mobile support 7 is connected to the base plate 2 by means of the adjustment screw 8 in combination with the retaining plate 23 which prevents the exit of said screw outwards, once installed.
The mobile support 7 joins the carriage 1 jointly through its front wall 19 with the aid of the anchoring elements 24, while the base plate 5 joins the torsion box 6 of the horizontal stabilizer 3 through its lower base 13 with the help of other known fasteners not shown in the figures.
The base plate 5 comprises two independent parts: a first determined by the lower base 13 and a second piece formed by the central body 14 that are joined together by a first screw 26 that crosses the lower base 13 by threading into a threaded hole 27 located in the lower part of the central body 14 and a second screw 28 in combination with a nut 29, said second ring 28 traversing the lower base 13 and a terminal extension 35 which is an extension of the central body 14.
On the other hand, the retaining plate 23 comprises an open recess 30 whose edge fits into an annular groove 31 of the regulating screw 8, the retaining plate 23 contacting the inner face of the front bottom 25 of the movable support 7, while against the face of the aforementioned front bottom 25, the head of the adjusting screw 8 stops with the interposition of a retaining washer 32.
In this way, when the adjustment screw 8 is turned in one direction or another, it will drag the movable support 7 with it, either inwards through the head of the adjustment screw 8 or out through the said retaining plate 2. 3 .
The hardware of the invention further comprises anti-rotation locking means of the retaining washer 32, whose purpose is to prevent the rotation of the adjusting screw 8 and plate

In order to reinforce the function of the retaining washer 32, it is provided that the cap 11 that closes the recess 10 of the face 1, incorporates such a cap 11 the shoulder 34 which will be accommodated in the emptying of the head of the adjusting screw 8 .
