Epha2 agonistic monoclonal antibodies and methods of use thereof

An isolated antibody that specifically binds to EphA2 and produces phosphorylation of EphA2, where: a. the antibody competes to bind to EphA2 with the antibody produced by the hybridoma deposited in the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) with registration number PTA-4380; b. the antibody competes to bind to EphA2 with the antibody produced by the hybridoma deposited in the ATCC with registration number PTA-4381; c. the antibody is produced by the hybridoma deposited in the ATCC with registration number PTA-4380; d. the antibody is produced by the hybridoma deposited in the ATCC with registration number PTA-4381; e. the antibody is composed of a VH chain consisting of the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 5 and a VL chain consisting of the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1; F. The antibody is composed of a CDR1 VL having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 2, a CDL2 VL having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 3, a CDL3 VL having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 4, of a VH CDR1 having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 6, of a VH CDR2 having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 7, and of a VH CDR3 having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 8 ; or g. The antibody is composed of a CDR1 VL having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 2, a CDL2 VL having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 3, a CDL3 VL having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 4, of a VH CDR1 having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 6, of a VH CDR2 having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 7, and of a VH CDR3 having an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 8 , where one or more of the CDRs has one, two or three mutations.
