Closure device with a curtain having flexible lateral edges

Device for closing a gap or other opening (1) comprising a curtain (2) having flexible lateral edges (4) having an overthickness (4') that extends along the longitudinal direction of the lateral edges (4), this being extra thickness (4') guided by guide paths (5) thus allowing the curtain (2) to move between a closed position and an open position, characterized in that the curtain (2) is provided with at least one cable (21) substantially incompressible along its length, extending almost parallel to the lateral edges of the curtain (2) in such a way as to allow the application of a force of push on these lateral edges (4) along their longitudinal direction to move the curtain from its open position towards its closed position, the neutral surface (24) of said lateral edges (4) being formed during the bending of the cable (21) located on this cable (21), the latter being fixed relative to the curtain (2), in the vicinity of each of the lateral edges (4) of the latter in an immovable manner preventing any relative displacement in relation to the curtain (2).
