DESCRIPTION
Digital electronic doorphone.
Object of the invention
The present invention, as expressed in the wording of this specification, refers to a digital electronic door entry system that has an electronic door entry system, the main purpose of which is to allow the recording of audiovisual messages through the entrance panel. . These messages may be reproduced afterwards, on the corresponding indoor panel, on a television or through remote devices. In addition, thanks to the inclusion in the system of different analogue input and output connectors, as well as a free-to-use serial bus, home automation and alarm-type functions can be added.
On the other hand, various modules can be added to the equipment to provide it with more advanced features.
Thus, by incorporating a remote location module, dialogue between the person who calls the home and the owner is possible, the latter being able at any time to open the door of the corresponding hallway, from the place where they are, with the help of a telephone.
Other purposes of this remote location module are the implementation of the telephone function (which allows the sending and reception of telephone calls), the answering machine function (which enables the recording and listening of messages from any telephone) and the remote connection, so that through a remote computer the entire system can be controlled and messages can be reproduced or sent.
On the other hand, by adding a remote control module, the system allows observation and dialogue with the caller through the entrance panel without the need to move; being able to lean on the television or on the monitor of the interior panel, or on a screen of a portable mobile unit for visual communication; This screen also presents the function of a conventional portable television. It is also possible to view system configuration menus as different keys of said portable mobile unit, a remote control or the interior panel are pressed.
It is possible to carry out two different implementations of the electronic door entry device of the invention. The first of them consists of the implementation of an electronic intercom for collective use, designed to be used in a community of neighbors of a block of flats, whatever its magnitude. Another implementation, simpler than the previous one, would be that of an electronic door phone that we will call for individual use, intended to be installed in villas and single-family homes in general or buildings where the distinction of rooms is not necessary to attend to access to them.
Background of the invention
Automated doorphones applied to homes are known and consist of an intercom or telephone that communicates the portal with each of the homes, also including a call system to each home, while each home includes a portal opening button. These doormen usually incorporate a monitor into the interior panel through which they can view, while listening, the scenes that take place in the corresponding hallway of the building. Thus, the people who are in the homes can decide whether or not to open the portal after receiving a call.
There are also modules for automated doorphones that reproduce an audio message prerecorded at the factory as an automated answering machine, after a certain event, such as the triggering of an alarm, or the absence of the owner. Other advanced menus also allow the capture of a digital image (frame) in the absence of the owners, which can then be viewed on the monitor of the interior panel.
On the other hand, radio frequency circuits are also known which, after adapting to electronic door systems, carry out functions such as opening the access door to the building through a remote control or allow the visualization of the scenes that take place in the building. They walked into the TV. These systems, in most cases, use the downcomer of the building's collective antenna to introduce the audiovisual signals that come from the hallway into the houses, so that they can be reproduced by tuning the television to a certain channel.
Other radio transmission systems are also known, such as wireless telephones and certain television signal transmitter circuits, which allow the television to be viewed anywhere in the home without the need to install wiring.
For some time, alarm or surveillance systems have appeared on the market that have a function of remote location of the owners in the event of a trip. Thanks to the appearance of high-speed telephone lines, some of these systems allow the incorporation of external modules for the transmission of audiovisual sequences in case of intrusion.
In the same way, domootic systems, or comfort systems, are known, which allow the device to be switched off and on, the simulation of presence, energy saving, etc. The most advanced domotic systems even allow their manipulation through remote telephones through guided audio menus.
Equipped with multimedia technology, videoconferencing systems between computers are known, used to transmit bidirectional audiovisual sequences, as well as videophones that allow establishing a call, enabling the simultaneous transmission of images.
Also known is the recently appeared standard, called WAP (wireless application protocol), still under development, which allows us to connect through a mobile phone to a web page server. Through a WAP connection we can reproduce the content of Web pages on the liquid crystal screen of the mobile phone, whether in textual or audio context.
ES 2 170 682 B1 sual. The use of mobile phones, equipped with WAP technology, will allow the reproduction of audiovisual content messages at a certain speed, when UMTS technology enters into force within the telecommunications market.
On the other hand, the Spanish invention patent with publication number 2,133,125 is known and stated as "wireless telephoenic teleporter". Said patent presents a wireless image and sound telecommunication system that comprises a base and a portaetile that establish communication with the external public telephony network and with the internal network of private video intercom on the surroundings of a residential building. The portaétil is a mobile radioelectric station that allows you to hear the bell of the person who calls the building portal, see her, speak with her and open the door of the portal, in addition to allowing all the services of the public telephone network. The aforementioned base is a fixed radioelectric station with coverage inside a house, which has the same functions as the portable. Although the system of this patent has advantages regarding the use of the portable as a wireless video intercom and as a public telephone, it also has drawbacks, such as that it does not allow the recording and reproduction of audiovisual messages, that does not foresee the connection to a local or remote PC, which does not allow the possibility of alarm or domestic functions, which does not contemplate the possibility of use as a portable television, and that it does not have a remote location module.
In the previous paragraphs of this section we have briefly described devices, systems and technologies related to the invention, indicating their most relevant aspects. Let us see below, those characteristics that make the system that we propose different from the existing ones in our opinion.
There are no known electronic door entry systems that have been conceived since their creation to perform functions such as recording audiovisual messages in the absence of the owners, and their subsequent reproduction on an indoor panel, on a conventional television, on a telephone, or on a telephone. portable device.
Neither are electronic door entry devices known that allow absent messages to be re-recorded as many times as desired, or to change the audible sound of the doorbell to help people with hearing problems.
In the same way, there are unknown electronic door entry devices that can be configured and controlled in their entirety through a portable device that incorporates a small display screen on which textual configuration menus can be displayed, and can be remotely manipulated by means of a computer, telephone or similar.
Nor are there known automated door entry systems that allow remote location of owners and the reproduction of recorded messages through the telephone, being able to request help in the actions to be carried out by means of the reproduction of audio messages.
Nor are we aware of the existence of automatic door entry systems that allow the connection of input and output devices to simulate alarm functions, and enable domestic functions through a serial bus, as well as perform functions of an automated telephone answering machine, a wireless telephone and a television. portaétil.
Electronic door entry systems are not known that allow the recording of audiovisual scenes for security reasons, and that are also useful in the event of a police action.
Finally, we are unaware of electronic door entry systems and message recording that are prepared to adapt to WAP technology, in order to reproduce in real time the audiovisual messages recorded in the system, as well as to visualize the scenes of the entrance through the glass screen. liquid incorporated in the most modern mobile telephones.
Description of the invention
In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the inconveniences indicated in previous sections, the invention consists of a digital electronic intercom that has an entrance panel provided with at least a video camera, microphone, loudspeaker, keyboard, indicators and door opener switch; said entrance panel being connected to one or more interior panels of homes, and in such a way that audiovisual communication between the entrance panel and the interior panels is possible, as well as the opening of the door of the corresponding portal or access by order coming from any of the interior plates. So far, this structure is analogous to known video door entry systems.
Newly, following the invention, the aforementioned electronic door phone has a digitization, registration and control block that is connected between the entrance panel and the interior panels; said block presenting means for recording, reproducing and processing sound, video sequence and data, as well as means for controlling the functions of the doorman. Each indoor panel is optionally complemented by a remote control module that can be a remote control that allows audio and data communication with the entrance panel, and audiovisual and data communication with said entrance panel through a TV; This remote control module can also be a portable mobile unit equipped with a screen that allows audiovisual and data communication with the entrance panel, either directly or through a television, this portable mobile unit also allowing the television function portable. Each indoor panel is optionally connectable to a remote location module that allows the connection of audio, video, data and door entry controls with a remote computer, remote telephone, or similar through a telecommunications network. Following requirements, the following door phone configurations are possible for each user:

Description of an embodiment of the invention
Below is a description of an example of the invention, referring to the numbering adopted in the figures.
Asé, the digital electronic intercom of this example of the invention, has a street panel 1 shown in figures 1 and 2, and that is the panel that will be located outside the hallway or portal. This board 1 constitutes the user call interface and is made up of the following devices:
- A video camera 11 that will allow to capture and record scenes that take place in the hallway of the building or the room where it is located. These scenes can be reproduced a posteriori, both on the monitor 36 of the indoor panel 3 and on a television or on a remote monitor 60.
- A microphone 12 to pick up sound coming from outside the building. The captured audio will serve to establish conversations with people inside the building or remotely located. In those cases in which the calls made are not answered, an audiovisual message can be made where the audio component will come from this microphone.
- A loudspeaker 13 through which we can hear recorded messages or the owners, whether they are talking to us from inside the building or through a telephone device.
- A keyboard 14 that will allow the call to be made to the desired dwelling. It will also serve for the introduction of access codes to the different functions of the system, in case the owner deems it appropriate.
- Some indicators 15 that are used to publicize the operation of the system or alert the caller to certain events. The loudspeaker 13 that incorporates the entrance panel 1 will often act as a system indicator.
- A door release switch 16, which by means of commands from the interior panels 3 and / or the remote control module 4 or 4 ', allows the door to be opened or access controlled by the electronic door entry system.
The entrance panel 1 will be connected to one or more interior panels of the house 3, 3 ', or 3 ", and in such a way that audiovisual communication between the entrance panel 1 and the interior panels 3, 3' is possible. , 3 ", as well as the opening of the door of the corresponding portal or access by order coming from any of the interior plates 3, 3 'or 3". The door phone in this example also has a recording and control digitization block 2 which also appears in figures 1 and 2, which is connected between the entrance panel 1 and the interior panels 3, 3 ', 3 ”and which has means of recording, reproduction and processing of sound, image and data, as well as means of control of the porter's functions.
The 3'e or 3 ”interior plates are optionally complemented by remote control modules 4 or 4 '. Said remote control module can be a remote control 4 that allows audio and data communication with the entrance panel 1, and audiovisual and data communication with said entrance panel 1 through a television set 60. In addition, said remote control module can be a portable mobile unit 4 'provided with a screen 46 that allows audiovisual communication and communication.
ES 2 170 682 B1 data with the entrance panel 1, either directly or through a television 60, this portable mobile unit 4 'also allowing the portable television function.
On the other hand, each indoor panel 3, 3 ', 3 "is optionally connectable to a remote location module 5 that allows to link the audio, video, data and doorphone controls communications with a remote computer 70, remote telephone 80 or similar through a communications network 90. The gatekeeper in this example can be structured in six different configurations according to the requirements of each user. So, we have:
- A first configuration or basic configuration formed by entrance panel 1, interior panel 3, and registration and control digitization block 2.
- A second configuration consisting of an entrance panel 1, an interior panel 3 ', a digitizing registration and control block 2 and a remote control 4.
- A third configuration made up of an entrance panel 1, an interior panel 3, a digitizing register and control block 2 and a remote location module 5.
- A fourth configuration consisting of an entrance panel 1, an interior panel 3 ', a digitizing register and control block 2, a remote control 4 and a remote location module 5.
- A fifth configuration or basic portable configuration, consisting of an entrance panel 1, an interior panel 3 ”, a recording and control digitization block 2 and a portable mobile unit 4 '.
- And a sixth configuration formed by entrance panel 1, interior panel 3 ”, digitization register and control block 2, portable mobile unit 4 'and remote location module 5.
The entrance panel 1 and the registration and control digitization block 2 will be shared by all users in a doorman installation that has a plurality of 3, 3 ', 3 ”interior panels and that has any combination of those referred to. six configurations.
The recording and control digitization block 2 will be in charge of conveniently manipulating the audiovisual signals, in order to digitize and store them for later use. The physical location of the components of this block 2 will depend on the type of goalkeeper, whether it is for individual or collective use. In an individual doorman, this block 2 can be located inside the building next to a monitor 36 of an interior panel 3. On the contrary, in doormen for collective use, it will be located in the hallway, in order to optimize its operation and reduce costs.
The digitization, register and control block 2 consists of the following devices:
- Analogue / digital converters 22: allow the digitization of audio and video signals. These converters will be dispensable if we use sensors whose output is digital, such as CMOS cameras.
- Digital / analog converters 23: perform the inverse function of the previous ones, reconstructing the original analog signals, starting from previously decompressed digital signals.
- Compressors 26: allow the compression of audiovisual signals in digital format, in order to occupy as little space as possible once stored in memory.
- Decompressors 27: perform the inverse function to the previous one, that is, they take the compressed audio and video data from the memory and decompress them conveniently to subsequently deliver them to the digital / analog converter 23. To implement the compression and decompression functions it is It is possible to use devices called “CODECS” (encoder / decoder), which, in addition to performing both functions, allow working in real time with audio and video signals. These devices, in most cases, integrate a screen writing device commonly known as "on screen display", which allows direct writing of characters on the video signal.
- Video processor 24: it consists of a device that allows zooming, rotating, filtering, contrasting, etc. operations. with captured video images.
- Audio processor 25: analogous to the previous one, it is capable of performing different operations with the audio once digitized (equalization, filtering, distortion, etc.)
- Storage memory 28: the system will have a memory to store, once digitized, audiovisual data in real time, whether they come from outside or inside the building or from telephone devices. This memory will be read / write and will contain the messages that, in the absence of the owners, will be recorded by the people from the hallway of the building, as well as the sequences it captures when ringing any bell. In the same way, it will allow people who call through a telephone from any of the houses in the building to store messages, as well as messages addressed to the entire community.
- Main processor 20: responds to the commands of the entrance panel keypad, uses light or sound indicators to inform about the status of the action, allows remote opening of the hall door either through the manual button of the house or a remote telephone and establishes communication, with the processors located
ES 2 170 682 B1 inside the building (37 housing processors). In addition, the main processor 20 interacts with the digitizing and control devices to supervise the capture, the sending, the synchronization and the reproduction of the data.
- Main memory 21: the memory of this block is used to store the database that makes up the system, access codes, date and time of the call, telephone numbers for remote location, etc.
- Amplification and filtering stages 29: they allow to amplify the analog signals, as well as the filtering of unwanted signals, in order to obtain a more clear and faithful signal in the players.
Both the appearance and the content of the interior panels 3, 3 ', 3 ”, will depend on the type of porter implemented. Thus, the interior panel 3 for the aforementioned first and third door entry configurations, has the following elements:
- Keyboard 31: different from that of the entrance panel 1, the keyboard of this block 3, interacts with the microprocessor of the housing processor 37 to allow the opening of the door of the hall, the reproduction of audiovisual messages, the recording of messages of absence, the introduction of urgent location telephones and in general the selection of menu options for the system configuration.
- Indicators 32: reflect the state of the system at all times, thus being able to observe if we have recorded messages, breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Microphone 33: allows the capture of the audio that the person who called from the entrance panel 1 will hear.
- Speaker 34: reproduces the audio captured from the hallway, as well as the recorded messages. This signal may be directed to the television set 60 in the house by cable or radio frequency.
- Screen writing device 35: more commonly known as “on screen display device”, these devices allow the writing of characters and only on monitors and screens, which can overlap with the video signal. With the help of these devices we will create the textual configuration menus of the system that we will later view on the monitor 36 of the interior panel 3, or on the television 60.
- Monitor 36: allows the visualization of the video sequences captured by the camera 11 in real time, as well as the recorded scenes. In the same way, it allows to visualize the configuration menus of the system. In the basic configuration or first configuration of the door phone, the monitor 36 will be integral with the interior panel 3.
- Housing processor 37: each dwelling will have a processor 37 that will allow communication with its homanimous in the hallway (main processor 20), supporting the communication protocol between them. For collective use systems, the main processor 20 will be in charge of selecting the home processor 37 that must respond, as well as identifying the processor 37 that is issuing a certain order. The home processor 37, on the other hand, will also execute the commands that come directly from the keyboard 31. When required, it will use the indicators 32 to alert the user of the system status and the screen writing device 35 for the generation of menuás.
- Memory 38: plate 3 located in the home will have a read / write memory where the variables that serve the system to operate correctly are stored. In said memory, the system will store the telephone numbers to be notified in case of urgent need to locate the owners, number of messages not displayed, personal access codes, menu screen, etc.
The interior plate 3, as shown in figure 3, also has a connector block 30 that has exterior video and exterior audio outputs, as well as outputs for sensors, serial bus, and power. Furthermore, said interior panel 3 has an acoustic buzzer or buzzer 01 connected to the home processor 37.
The fifth configuration or basic portable configuration of the porter is shown in figure 5, where its interior plate 3 ”and its portable mobile unit 4 'can be seen. The fifth and sixth portable configurations are the most advanced versions of the system and are based on the creation of a 4 'portable device equipped with autonomy, which will perform the same functions as the basic system, but which will also provide greater comfort to the owner. The device, similar to a wireless telephone, will allow total manipulation of the system from anywhere in the home. The incorporation of a set of rechargeable batteries 47, as well as a color liquid crystal screen 46 will allow the caller to be seen and to reproduce the audiovisual signals of external devices such as the television 60, thus resembling a portable television.
In addition to the comfort that this 4 'device can provide us, it is worth noting its static function, since with the installation of a portable system such as the one we propose, the visualization of the components of the interior panel is avoided, such as the monitor and the earpiece of conventional electronic door entry systems, which in certain homes can be antistatic. By having a portable system, any place can be good for its location, being able to be located in a place of easy access and hidden if we wish.
ES 2 170 682 B1
To implement the portable system, substantial changes have to be made to the interior plate. These changes consist of the elimination of some devices of the same and its addition to the portable mobile unit 4 '.
Thus, the 3 ”interior plate for portable configurations will consist of the following elements:
- The screen writing device 35, the reading / writing memory 38, and the housing processor 37, which, in addition to allowing communication with its hominimo 20 in the hallway, should attend to the orders of the mobile unit 4 '.
In addition, it will be necessary to include 3 ”radio frequency circuits in the interior plate to send and receive audiovisual signals as well as to send and receive data. These circuits will establish the remote communication between the indoor plate 3 ”and the mobile unit 4 '. Thus, inside the 3 ”interior plate we have:
- An audiovisual signal emitter 39A: this circuit emitted audiovisual signals that come from the hallway, the messages recorded in the recording and control digitization block 2, as well as the output signals of the corresponding modem 50. By means of a switch, we can select as signals input to the modulator those that come from an external device, connected to the “external video” and “external audio” inputs of the connectors 30 of the indoor plate. If we connect the video and audio outputs of the TV 60's scart to these inputs, these signals would be the ones that it would modulate and broadcast to the mobile unit 4 ', in this case being able to view a television channel.
- Audio receiver 39B: this circuit would receive the audio signal that comes from the microphone 42 of the portable mobile unit 4 ', which once demodulated could be heard, as appropriate, in the loudspeaker 13 of the hallway or in reproductive devices external to the housing such as a telephone 80 or a computer 70.
- 39C data transceiver: for the emission / reception of commands, we will need another circuit via radio or infrared that operates with digital data. This circuit will put the home processor 37 in contact with the processor 48 of the mobile unit 4 'by means of a communication protocol that allows both processors to execute the remote commands that arrive from the other side of the line.
The other devices (keyboard 31, monitor 36, loudspeaker 34, microphone 33 and indicators 32), could be eliminated from the interior plate 3 ", becoming part of the mobile unit 4 ', but with other references since they can be presented differences for the adaptation to said mobile unit 4 '. Thus, the aforementioned devices correspond to the keyboard 44, the color LCD screen 46, the loudspeaker 43 and the microphone 42 which are represented in figure 5.
In the door station in this example, the remote control module may be the remote control 4 or the portable mobile unit 4 '. This 4 or 4 'module is optional for basic configurations and mandatory for portable configurations. It allows, as its name indicates, remote control of the system. The addition of the remote control module 4 imposes the introduction of at least one audiovisual signal emitting circuit 39 in the indoor plate 3 'that broadcasts audio and video on a given television channel. By tuning the television 60 to this frequency, the audiovisual input signal to the system will be reproduced through the screen and the speaker of the aforementioned television 60.
On the other hand, the indoor panel 3 'should be able to receive the audio signals that come from the microphone 42 of the remote control 4 to be routed to the loudspeaker of the entrance panel 1, to the digitization registration and control block 2 or a modem 50. In the same way, the panel 3 'could receive orders from the keyboard 44 of the remote control 4 that allow to open the entrance door, configure the system, play messages, and so on. The basic configuration with remote control 4 is shown in figure 4. To the corresponding interior panel 3 ', it will be necessary to add (with respect to the interior panel 3 of the basic configuration) the following elements:
- Transmitter on television channel 39: this device will transmit via radio a signal that will simultaneously contain the analogue audio and video components that come from the hallway. It will allow the viewing and listening of scenes on an external monitor or television 60 by conveniently tuning to a television channel 60 with the broadcasting frequency.
- 39C data transceiver: for the emission / reception of commands, we will need another circuit via radio or infrared that operates with digital data. This circuit would put the home processor 37 in contact with the processor 40 of the mobile unit 4 by means of a communications protocol that allows both processors to execute the remote commands that arrive from the other side of the line.
- Audio receiver 39B: I will receive the signal that the microphone 42 of the remote control 4 captures and it will direct it to the speaker 13 of the entrance panel, the modem 50 or the registration and control digitization block 2.
On the other hand, the remote control 4 will be composed of:
- Control circuit 40: the remote control would have a control circuit that would allow to conveniently interconnect all the devices that make up the remote control 4. For the basic configuration, due to the limitation of its actions, it may be possible the
ES 2 170 682 B1 created the control circuit 40 without the need to introduce a microprocessor.
- data transceiver 41C: similar to the 39C referred to above.
- Audio receiver 41: similar to 39B referred to above.
- Audio emitter 41D: I will emit the signal that the microphone 42 of the remote control 4 picks up and I will direct it towards the audio receiver 39B of the interior panel 3 ', so that it is in turn directed to the speaker 13 of the panel of street 1, the modem 50 or the digitization and control block 2.
- Microphone 42: it will allow you to dialogue with the person who has called from the entrance panel 1.
- Speaker 43: the remote control speaker will reproduce the audio captured from the hallway as well as the recorded messages.
- Keyboard 44: the remote control will have a keyboard similar to the 31 on the 3 'interior plate, through which the entire system can be manipulated.
- Indicators 45: in the same way, the remote control 4 will incorporate luminescent and audible indicators in order to alert the user of pending messages, external calls and, in general, support functions for people with hearing impairments.
- Batteries 47: allow to give the remote control 4 autonomy. These 47 batteries may be rechargeable or not desired.
On the other hand, the portable mobile unit 4 'that is represented in figure 5, allows the reproduction of scenes in real time and audiovisual messages, and although it is a more advanced device than the previous remote control 4, the components are similar to those included in said command 4 with the following exceptions:
- Audiovisual signal receiver 41A: allows the reproduction of the audiovisual signals received by the mobile unit 4 'on the liquid crystal screen 46.
- 41C data transceiver: similar to the 39C described for the 3 ”indoor plate.
- Audio emitter 41D: I will emit the signal that the microphone 42 of the mobile unit 4 'picks up and I will direct it towards the audio receiver 39B of the interior panel 3 ”, so that it is in turn directed to the speaker 13 of the entrance panel 1, modem 50 or digitization block, register and control 2.
- Monitor 46: as we have mentioned, monitor 36 that incorporated the interior plate 3 for the basic configuration, will be able to disappear and become part of the mobile unit 4 '. In that case, the monitor 46 will consist of a small size color liquid crystal screen and will allow the viewing of scenes without the need to scroll or turn on the television 60.
- Processor circuit 48: the mobile unit 4 ', due to the complex functions it performs, will need to include an added microprocessor.
Finally, the portable mobile unit 4 'will have a keyboard 44 for control in the configuration, as well as the making of telephone calls, a loudspeaker 43 and a microphone 42 that will allow dialogue with the caller through the panel. of street 1 or by means of a telephone and to reproduce the audio signal of the television 60.
When the remote location module 5 is incorporated into the doorphone system, we must add to the interior panel 3, 3 'éor 3 ”, both for the basic configuration and for the portable configurations, a telephoenic modem 50. This circuit will be in charge to manage the telephone calls of the system, allowing the remote opening of the door of the hall and establishing the connection with the person who calls the house. The devices that make up this module 5 represented in figure 6 are the following:
- Telephone line 51: I will need a telephone line to establish connections with the outside world. This line may be the same one owned by the homeowners, it may be shared for other uses and will allow the use of the system to locate the owners wherever they are if they have a mobile phone or in certain places through telephones. fixed. Once the owners have been located and the connection is established, both parties will be able to dialogue without problems. If necessary, the owner can open the hall door from the telephone by pressing a key or a preset combination thereof. The system could operate with various types of lines in order not to depend on a telephoenic operator in question. Depending on the type of line, of course, we will need one type of modem or another.
- Modem 50: will allow the connection between the interlocutor in the hall and the owner through a telephone line, as well as the transmission and reception of data between a remote telephone 80 and the door entry system, to reproduce and record messages. In the same way, I will allow the modification of the absence message, being able to record a new one at any time through a remote telephone 80. In the absence of the owners, the modem 50 establishes the communication after ringing the telephone “ring” several times. Once the connection with the door system is established, the remote user will be guided through audio menus, to correctly execute the commands that he wishes. From
ES 2 170 682 B1 In this mode you can configure the alarm functions, domotic functions, play messages, record messages, etc. In addition, the modem 50 will provide the system with telephone and answering machine functions. On the one hand, it allowed the use of the door entry system as a conventional telephone and in case of absence, it would reproduce the absence message from the answering machine. Finally, this modem will provide remote access to the system through a computer 70. In this case, in addition to being able to perform all the functions described above, we can also reproduce the video component. The remote connection software was adapted to the speed of the line, allowing to reproduce audio in real time, and video as the line allows it. If we operate with an ADSL line (Asóncronous Digital Subscriber Layer) or an ISDN line (Integrated Services Digital Network), the speed will be higher than when we operate with an RTB line (Baósica Telephone Network). Depending on the type of modem 50, we can also have other characteristics such as the identification of the number of the incoming call, the sending of all kinds of digital data, hands-free, as well as connection via fax.
The general operation of the electronic gatekeeper that we have described is as follows:
Every time a key 14 of the entrance panel 1 of the electronic door phone is pressed, corresponding to a dwelling, the bell 01 sounded inside the dwelling, alerting the people inside of the existence of a call. Owners will be able to see who it is on the screen of the monitor 36 of the interior panel 3 or through the television 60 and if they consider it convenient they can open the door of the hallway by pressing the key for opening the keyboard 31 of the interior panel 3.
When we press the bell repeatedly, and / or after a convenient wait (both configurable parameters), if the owner does not respond, the digitalization module, register and control 2, will take control of the situation, the following happening:
The main processor 20 locates in memory 21 the place where the absence message of the owners to whom it is calling is recorded and plays through the loudspeaker of the hallway 13 the absence message corresponding to the house called. In this way, it informs the caller that the owners are absent or indicates where they are. As an example, we could think of messages such as “we are Ana and Juan, if you want to leave a message, press our bell again” or “Elena, we are in the hospital, because Ana was not feeling well, wait for us to return”, etc.
As we can see, the system allows modifying the message according to interest. In addition, as we see in the text of the first example, the system itself can invite the caller to post a message.
Suppose the caller wants to record a visit message. Then, he pressed the key or combination of keys that indicates the absence message and the system responded again with an audio message similar to the following:
"You have twenty seconds to record a message, start after hearing the signal." Once the indicated signal sounds, the camera 11 and the microphone 12 will begin to capture the video and audio corresponding to the message. From the beginning of the recording, the video and audio signals will be captured by the A / D converters 22, conveniently processed and compressed with the help of the auxiliary memories 28 for video and audio, to finally be stored in the main memory 21. To control this process, of course, we will require the help of the processor 20, which will be partly responsible for the synchronization of the signals.
In the same way, we can record a message for the entire community of neighbors. All you have to do is press a combination of keys (access code), which the system validates immediately. If the password is correct, an audio message similar to the following was played: "You have thirty seconds to record a message intended for this community of neighbors."
The message recorded using this method is available to all the residents of the community, without the need to make a reply for each of them, since the message will be characterized as belonging to the community, and must be automatically deleted by the system after a certain period. time period.
This characteristic of the system could be used by the president of the neighborhood community, by the building administrator, etc. and it allowed the convening of meetings and notifications of general interest, for the entire community, in a convenient and simple way.
Regarding the reproduction of visit messages left previously, when the owners return to their home, they will find that an indicator light 32 blinks on its interior plate, warning about the existence of recorded messages. To reproduce these messages you will have two options:
The first option would be to implement the reproduction of the same on the monitor 36 of the indoor plate 3. To do this, it would be enough to press the reproduction key (or combination of keys). When we press the play key, the microprocessor 37 of the indoor plate will request the data of the message from its namesake in the hallway 20, which will access the main memory 21 in search of information. Once the information has been located, it will decompress it with the help of the decompressors 27, it will process it and convert it into an analog signal through the converters 23. If necessary, these signals will be amplified and filtered through the stages 29 conveniently, so that the reception of the same in the interior plate 3 is adequate. In this case, the message was reproduced using the monitor 36 and the loudspeaker 34 of the indoor plate 3.
The second option is to use the
ES 2 170 682 B1 remote control module 4, so that on a certain channel of the television 60 we can reproduce the messages, by pressing the message reproduction key that it incorporates. By pressing said key 44, we will act on the data transceiver 41C which emitted a radio frequency signal towards the interior plate 3 '. This signal will be received by its namesake 39C and interpreted by the housing processor 37 that will be programmed to perform the playback functions of the first option. The system will take as video input the analogue composite video signal that came from the digitization and control module, modulate it to the frequency of the desired channel and emit it to the television 60 through the transmitter on television channel 39. In this case, we will see the video sequences on the TV screen 60, and we will listen to the audio through its speaker.
It will also be possible to reproduce the messages on an external monitor or television 60 connecting the video and audio output to the corresponding inputs. For the visualization on the television 60 it will be necessary to select in this case the external audio / video input channel.
If we have one of the portable configurations, we can perform the above functions using the 4 'mobile unit. In this case, we can, in addition to the previous options, implement the reproduction through the liquid crystal screen 46 that it incorporates.
If, in addition, the system incorporates the remote location module 5, we will be able to reproduce the visit messages deposited from a remote telephone 80 or from the screen of a remote computer 70 with the remote user software.
When the reproducing device enables the video to be reproduced, the date and time of recording of the message will appear above the scenes, in order to let the owner know how old it is. In the same way, numeric type markers will appear indicating the number of messages that are being reproduced over the total of the existing ones. If the message number 2 is playing out of a total of four, a 2/4 will appear on the screen.
Another example of signaling could be that at the end of the reproduction of a message and if there are more recorded messages, the system will indicate to the owner the existence of more unread messages through icons or characteristic symbols that will appear on the display screen.
Regarding the deletion of messages, once the visit messages have been displayed, the remote control module (remote control 4 or mobile unit 4 ') could be deleted by means of the keyboard 31 of the interior panel 3, through the telephone. or a remote computer 70, as long as the necessary modules are available. If you do not want to attend to the elimination of messages, the system can automatically delete them after a few days or when there is a predetermined number of them. In the latter case, the messages will be deleted according to the date of their recording, the old masses being the ones deleted first.
On the other hand, we can modify the absence message and that of the answering machine from the interior panel 3, by means of the remote control 4, through the mobile unit 4 ', and even remotely through a telephone 80 if the system incorporates the remote location module 5.
To modify the absence message, simply press the keys appropriately and when the system tells us that we can start the recording, use the microphone 33 to introduce the audio signal to the system. The digitized audio will be written to the memory address intended to store these messages (each home has a memory address), overwriting the previous one.
To be able to use the door entry system as an automated telephone answering machine, it is necessary to have the remote location module 5. Once this module is installed in a certain home, the system recognizes its existence and enables the telephone and answering machine function. automaotic. To record or modify the answering machine message, it is enough to follow a process similar to that described in the previous point.
As we have been able to verify, in some of the cases described in previous points, any action or order of the system can be protected by using access codes. In this way we can protect the system from improper handling and use. At the same time, we will prevent the most delicate parts of it, such as the alarm and home automation functions, from being easily accessible to children.
The proposed system allows the reproduction of an isolated sound, musical tones or a spoken message every time someone presses the doorbell of our home, and these can be selected from the configuration menu. In this way, we can help people with hearing problems to better hear ring 01. Also, thanks to the external connectors of block 30 we will be able to add a higher intensity siren to the system, as well as indicator lights so that they are activated when someone calls, instead of the conventional bell.
To configure the system, some menus were implemented. These menus can be of two types; textual, whose generation is carried out by the writing device on screen 35, or audio, which consisted of pre-recorded spoken messages, containing the menu options. Let's see how and what devices we can access these menus:
Text menus: the visualization of text menus will be possible in all those reproductive devices that support video (monitor of the indoor panel 36, liquid crystal screen of the mobile unit 46, television 60, remote computer 70, etc.) . When we press the configuration key of the player device, a menu of options will appear on the screen, such as the following:
Configuration menu.
1. - Messages.
two. - Date and Time.
3. - Telephone numbers.
ES 2 170 682 B1
4.- Settings.
If one is pressed, a submenu such as the following may appear:
Message menu.
1. - Play messages.
two. - Delete messages.
3. - Send messages to the community.
Four. - Modify messages.
In this way, we can configure the system in a simple way. Textual messages may overlap the video presented by the player device or they may not continue to be appropriate.
Audio menus: The audio menus will be more suitable when we use reproduction devices that do not allow the visualization of video such as a telephone, the entrance panel 1, etc. In this case, the system will play a spoken message with the menu options. Pressing a valid key will launch the corresponding submenu and so on.
Both the textual menus and the audio menus will be stored in the main memory of system 21 to which we will access each time we execute an action that requires it.
Another of the characteristics of the door entry system in this example consists of the possibility of providing the system with the automatic recording of the caller through the keypad of the entrance panel 1. In this way, regardless of whether the person leaves Whether or not a message, the system will take an audiovisual sequence of the caller, which will allow the authors of the same to be identified in the event of a claim.
These sequences will be generated and destroyed by the system itself, being only reproducible by using a secret key of the system.
The 3, 3 'or 3 ”interior plate will have the input and output connector block 30 that can be used to connect external devices. These devices can provide the system with very interesting functions such as the alarm. Both input devices (mostly sensors) and output devices (switches, relays, sirens, etc.) can be connected. All of them will have three lines, one for power, another for ground or ground and an analog input or output line depending on the type of device. Depending on the connector used, the system will automatically recognize whether it consists of an input device or, on the contrary, it is an output device. Once connected, you will have to access the configuration menu to indicate if the device is activated by rising or falling edge and which event is associated with which device. In this way, a smoke detector can be associated with the triggering of a siren or a presence detector with the dialing of the numbers of certain telephones. External connections can be very useful to provide the system with features that the user himself can devise. For example, we can have a complete alarm system and even some home automation functions such as turning on-off devices, presence simulations, opening the access door to the house, etc.
Due to the difficulty involved in installing a large number of electrical lines in homes, most of the devices and systems oriented to homes operate with serial buses. Both the systems that are intended to be implemented as home automation standards PROFIBUS, EIB, etc. such as electronic I2C, CAN, RS232, etc. All of them have in common the use of two lines for data transmission. The possibility of connecting devices to the system via a serial bus opens up many possibilities for new developments and existing systems to be immediately coupled to the present system.
On the other hand, the remote location module 5 will make it possible to carry out a predetermined search of the owners, through the use of any telephone system installed in the owners' home. The activation of this module 5 can be done in the following way:
Suppose that after calling a home, an absence message like the following is triggered:
"Hello, we are Ana and Juan, if you want to record a message, press our bell again, on the contrary you need to locate us, type our remote location code.
After correctly typing the password, the user receives the following message:
"Correct password, if you want to call Juan's mobile press 1, if you want to call Ana's mobile press 2, if you want to call Juan's work press 3, etc.".
After pressing the desired number, the system searches the database for the requested telephone number and establishes telephone communication with the owner, putting both parties in contact. Once the communication is established, the remote interlocutor will be able to dialogue with the person in the hallway, as if it were a telephonic conversation. If the owner wishes, he can press a combination of keys that only he knows, open the door of the hall.
By means of the connector block 30 it will be possible to go even further, since by incorporating an automatic opening system, we will be able to open the private access door to the house remotely.
Also in the system itself, it can make use of the remote location of the owners automatically, when a sensor is triggered. In this case, it will search the memory for the phone numbers to call and will try to establish a connection with the owners, with an alarm center or with the police, whatever we want. Once the connection is established, an audio message will be produced indicating the cause of the alarm, as well as other relevant data.
By means of the doorman proposed in the present example, it is also possible to open the door to the hallway from the hallway itself, using an access code. In this case, it will be the control system itself that will carry out the action after having verified that the password is correct. Is
ES 2 170 682 B1 function can be useful when we forget the keys to the hallway, so that the children do not stay in the street while the parents are not there, to await the arrival of the owners comfortably in a possible reception room located in the hall , to avoid the postman having to call daily, etc.
In order to have the telephone function in this door phone, it will also be necessary to have the remote location module 5 installed. This module 5 incorporates the modem 50 that allows the telephone function.
When someone calls one of the dwellings in the building through a telephone, the system, after waiting for a number of “rings” or a certain time (both parameters configurable by the user), will send the appropriate orders to the modem 50 to take the call. incoming call. Next, he triggered the answering machine's absence message, which was played back on the caller's telephone receiver. After playing the absence message, it allows the recording of an audio message that the owner can play later.
If the owners are at home when the call is made, they can take the call from the telephone on the interior panel 3, from the remote control 4, or from the mobile unit 4 '(depending on the door phone model they have), only by pressing a key. From that moment on, the connection is established and the microphone and loudspeaker of the reproducing devices will be used respectively to capture and reproduce the audio necessary for dialogue.
Working in telephone mode, the system operates as follows. Each time the incoming call acceptance key is pressed, the playback device sends the command to the home processor 37, which in turn translates the command and sends it to the modem circuit 50. Similarly, when the call key is pressed making a telephone call, the system will allow the introduction of a series of numbers that will be displayed on the player device as we press. Once the number we want to call has been formed, we will press on the call establishment key. At that time, the home processor sent the necessary initialization commands to the modem 50, as well as the number to dial.
Regarding the mobile unit 4 ', one of its most attractive characteristics is that it allows the reproduction of the signal from a conventional television 60. As indicated, the portable mobile unit 4' incorporates a receiver device 41A for audiovisual and radio frequency signals. a data transceiver 41C of radio frequency signals corresponding to digital data. When the selection key of a channel A is pressed on the keyboard 44, we will send a command to the 3 ”indoor plate through the data transceiver 41C. The home processor 37 interpreted and selected the video input A corresponding to the hallway or to the digitization and control module. In the same way, when we want to reproduce the signal from the television 60 on the liquid crystal screen 46 of the mobile unit 4 ', we will press on the selection key of a channel B. The data transceiver 41C will send a command (different from the previous one) , to instruct the home processor 37 to switch to input channel B. To achieve the function of a portable television, the video out and audio out signals of the television in apartment 60 must be connected to the video and audio input connections respectively of the 3 ”indoor panel. Another way of viewing the television 60 on the mobile unit 4 'without having to make the wired connection from the television 60 to the indoor panel 3' 1, would be by connecting the video out and audio out signals of the television 60 to a emitter module similar to 39A. Depending on the needs of the user, it may be more convenient to use one or the other method, the second being more feasible, in those cases where there is some complexity in making the connection via cable. On the contrary, this connection is foreseen in the construction of the house, the first method saves the cost of the system.
Next, a possible implementation of the invention is described for a residential building and for the case of recording and reproducing an audiovisual message.
Thus, there is an entrance panel 1 with all its components, camera 11, microphone 12, speaker 13, keyboard 14, indicators 15 and opening switch 16. There is also an interior panel 3 complete with the basic configuration, this It is with its monitor 36, speaker 34, microphone 33, keyboard 31, screen writing device 35, doorbell 01, etc., as shown in figure 3. In addition, there is a wired connection according to figure 7, where all the housing processors 37 are connected to the main processor 20 of block 2, this main processor 20 being the one that selects who emits or receives.
Let us suppose that the registration and control digitization module consisted of a computer that has an audio and video capture card, as well as an input and output card. The audio and video capture card allows you to capture analog audio and video, digitize both signals using built-in A / D converters and compress them into various formats (MPEG, AVI, MJPEG). Once compressed into memory, they will be synchronized and stored in a digital file that will be deposited on the computer's hard drive.
These capture cards are also capable of carrying out the inverse process, that is, given a file recorded by the previous method, the card is capable of decompressing it, and converting it into two synchronized analog signals, one for audio and the other for video, being the resulting signals an exact replica of the original.
As for the digital input and output card, their mission is to control devices external to the computer. To do this, by means of a program that we can make to measure, it allows the parallel supervision of up to 128 inputs and outputs. If we have this device (it could be more modest depending on the building in question), by connecting the digital inputs to keypad 14 of the entrance panel 1 we can easily find out when a
ES 2 170 682 B1 call to any of the dwellings in the building.
In the same way, the outputs of this card will allow in our case to implement the communication protocol with the housing processors 37, to select the devices that emit and those that receive the audiovisual signals, as well as to activate the relays of the switch 16 of the door of the hallway.
On the other hand, the computer that replaces the main processor 20 and the memories of the digitization and control module 2 of our example, should also contain some software routines to capture and operate with the audiovisual signals and the control card manipulation routines. , and information about the configuration parameters for each of the homeowners in the building.
This information, in our case, will be stored in databases that will contain the updated data of all the variables involved in the process. Let's see how the system works as a whole:
When someone clicks on any of the doorbells in the house, the entry and exit card referred to above detects that there is a selected entry. At that moment, find out which home is being called and start the recording of a short sequence that can be used in the event of a claim to identify the alleged criminals. Simultaneously, the system will have stored in a database the date and time when the call was made, the door that was called and the name of the file where said short sequence was recorded.
If after a while the owner does not answer, the system searches the main database for the name of the file that contains the message of absence from the dwelling in question and sends it to the audio output of the pick-up card, playing on loudspeaker 13 of the entrance panel 1. After the absence message is played, the system reads from the main database the instructions that the caller must follow to allow him to record a message, open the door of the hall or remotely locate the owners.
To do this, the system waits for a time (configurable by the owner) for the caller to press the necessary key combination to start one of the above processes. Suppose you decide to record a message and press for example the combination "1, 2, 3, 4". At each press, the system reads the value of the data it receives through the I / O card and compares it with the number (access code) that is stored in the database. I know the number is correct, then I will execute the requested action, if not, I will play an audio message indicating what happened.
Suppose the entered number is correct. In this case, the system will reproduce an audio message that will indicate to the user the time available to record and will emit a signal to indicate the beginning of the recording. At that moment, the person will be able to speak through the microphone 12 of the entrance panel 1 and both his voice and the image captured by the camera 11 will be recorded in real time in a file that will be stored on the corresponding hard disk.
Immediately after the completion of the recording, the main processor 20 will communicate through the input / output card discussed above with the home processor 37 to indicate that it has unread messages. The latter, in turn, will enable a flashing indicator light on the interior plate 3 in order to alert the owner of this fact.
Upon their return, the owners will observe the existence of messages and will be able to reproduce them on the interior plate 3 as follows:
When the owner presses the message playback key, the processor of the apartment 37 will request the main processor 20 for the message in question. The latter will search the main data base if there are messages for the dwelling making the request and if there are, it will immediately start the reproduction of the first one. Now, the reproduction will be carried out on the loudspeaker, 34 of the interior panel 3 and not on the one of the entrance panel 1. This is due to the fact that the input and output card that I mentioned above, receiving the order from the main processor, will have disconnected the line that directs the audio to the loudspeaker of the entrance panel 1. The video will be sent to monitor 36 of the entrance panel. interior plate 3, and next to it, the date and time data in which the message was recorded. These data will be collected by the home processor 37 in question and overlaid in the video with the help of the on-screen writing device 35. The result is that the owner will be able to view and hear the message correctly and know the date and time of its recording. .
