Toy accessories with an accessory base and an ornamental part

DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to toy accessories that have an ornamental part made of a writing composition.

Various toy accessories are known. These include, for example, bracelets, bracelets, rings, brooches and hair ornaments, produced forming an ornament in the form of, for example, a heart, a star, a flower, a butterfly or a certain animal, such as a panda or a bear, and mounted it on a base of a plastic material or a metal by means of an adhesive. The accessories produced are also known in the form of an integral molding of a plastics material to simultaneously form the base and the ornamental part and then color this last, and also the accessories that are made exclusively of metal are also known.

However, the person who carries these toys does so merely to enjoy their unique shape and beauty.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to create toy accessories that are used not only to wear them for pleasure, but also to achieve some other function, whereby toy accessories can be enjoyed in various ways.

The present invention has been developed and consummated based on the findings that, when an ornamental part, made of a special writing composition, was mounted on a removable base, this ornamental part can be removed and used as a tool for writing figures or letters, and that when several ornamental parts are enabled, the disposition of these can be changed to provide various kinds of pleasurable uses.

The present invention creates toy accessories that comprise a plastics material accessory base, which has lace means, and an ornamental part made of a writing composition containing a polyolefin, the ornamental part being embedded in the base in a manner removable.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a toy bracelet following the present invention, of which a part has been deleted; fig. 2 is a cross section along the line AA of fig. one; and fig. 3 is a perspective view in semi-section of a toy ring according to the present invention.

The plastics material base of the accessories of the present invention having the fitting means, can be formed from any thermoplastic resin, thermoplastic elastoomer and thermostable plastics materials. Among these materials, thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride and polyesters are preferred. The base can be formed from an uncolored starting material, or after having been colored with a dye, such as a pigment.

The writing composition used in the present invention can be a polyolefin containing a wax, a lubricant and a coloring agent. Practically, the writing composition comprises 25 to 80% by weight (hereinafter all weight percentages were mentioned simply as%), preferably 35 to 70%, of a polyolefin such as polyethylene or polypropylene, 5 to 60%, preferably from 15 to 50%, of a wax, and the complement up to 100% of a coloring agent. The polyethylene or polypropylene used in the present case has a melt index (which from now on was called MFR) preferably from 4 to 55 g / 10 min and a density of 0.94 g / cm³ at 0.91 g / cm³. With the amount of polyolefin described above, it is possible to provide high strength and flexibility to the ornamental part of the toy. The wax can be a natural wax, such as carnauba wax, Japoon wax, mountain wax, paraffin wax or microcrystalline wax, or a synthetic wax, such as a fatty acid (such as oleic acid or stearic acid), its salts ( such as kaolinic oleate, coalcium stearate, magnesium oleate, magnesium stearate, aluminum oleate or aluminum stearate), an amide of a fatty acid, a ketone wax (such as diesteari-ketone) or a polyethylene wax.

Any coloring agent used in the manufacture of chalk, pastel or laopic compositions can be used. Among them, preferred coloring agents include inorgaonic pigments such as titanium dioxide, black iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, red iron oxide, ultramarine, Prussian blue, zinc white, alumina white, carbon black, powder Aluminum, bronze or mica powder. The organic pigments that are preferably used are: nitrous- or nitro-pigments such as Naphthol Green or Naphthol Yellow; azolac pigments such as Lithol Red, Lacquer Red C, Bright Carmon 6B, Watchung Red or Bordeaux 10B; insoluble azo-pigments such as Solid Yellow, Disazoon Yellow, Pyrazolone Orange, Para Red, 4R Lacquer Red or Naphthol Red; condensed azo-pigmets such as Cromoftal Yellow or Cromoftal Red; Lacquered pigment pigments such as Peacock Blue Lacquer, Alkaline Blue Lacquer, Rhodamine Lacquer, Methyl Violet Lacquer or Malachite Green Lacquer; Phthalocyanine pigments, such as Phthalocyanine Blue, Solid Sky Blue or Phthalocyanine Green; antreno pigments such as Antrapirimidine Yellow, Perinone Orange, Perylene Red, Thiodyne Red or Indantrone Blue; quinacridone pigments such as Quinacridone Red or Quinacridone Violet; Isoindolinone pigments such as Isoindolinone Yellow; and fluorescent pigments. If the inorganic pigment is used as a coloring agent, it can be added in an amount of 5 to 40%, more preferably, 10 to 25%. In the case of organic pigment, the amount added may be from 1 to 15%, more preferably, from 2 to 10%. With the wax and the coloring agent, used in the amounts described above, the resulting toy is capable of exhibiting the proper writing characteristics. In addition, 30% or less of an extender pigment can also be added, such as talc, kaolin clay, kaolinic carbonate or magnesium slicate as a bulking agent (also called a charge). When the amount of pigment added

012 204 extender exceeds 30%, the characteristics for writing will be impaired.

In accordance with the present invention, the plastic or colored composition described above can be configured with any form that can be used as an accessory base and ornamental part, by means of a known molding method, such as the injection molding method. The wall thickness of the ornamental part is between 3 and 30 mm, preferably between 4 and 15 mm. This part is preferably provided with at least one corner, conveniently usable for writing.

The molds are designed so that the accessory base has at least one socket boss, such as boss 2, which is shown in Fig. 2 or the boss boss 12 that has a spherical top, as shown in Fig. 3, and that the ornamental part has a cavity so that the projection 2 can be detachably fixed in the cavity. Alternatively, the ornamental part can have the protrusions of lace and the base can have the cavities.

The present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a toy bracelet 1 following the present invention, a part of which has been deleted. The toy bracelet comprises a polyethylene base 3 having a socket projection 2 separably applied to ornamental parts 4, and 6, made of a writing composition comprising a polyolefin. The ornamental parts 4, 5 and 6 each have a cavity 7, which has a size such that the socket boss 2 can be detachably fitted with it. As shown by an arrow, the projection 2 is inserted into the cavity 7 of the ornamental part to fit each other, as shown in Fig. 2 (section along the line AA in Fig. 1). Fig. 3 shows a toy ring following the present invention.

The toy accessories of the present invention will be basically constructed in the manner described above. However, a piece of paper can be applied to a part of the base or to the ornamental part, or the accessories can be decorated with a drawing or picture.

In accordance with the present invention, toy accessories having sufficient mechanical strength can be obtained. Its ornamental parts can be separated and used to write letters or draw drawings on a sheet of paper. Therefore, you can enjoy entertainment of an unconventional type.

Therefore, when ornamental parts of various colors such as red, blue, yellow and green are enabled to form a set, these can be used as a set or group of colored pencils. These can also advantageously help children to learn to write letters or draw pictures while playing with them, since they will also work as toy accessories.

Since ornamental parts are saparable, they can be replaced by other parts that have different colors and shapes. When the base has several lace projections, the disposition order of the ornamental parts can be changed. This is fun for children.

Thus, the toy accessories of the present invention are widely usable as bracelets, rings, brooches, earrings, necklaces, hair ornaments, tie pins, cuff buttons or cufflinks, etc.

The following examples will further illustrate the present invention, without limiting in this way to this invention.

Example 1

The following components were kneaded with a mixer at 120 C for 1 hour, pressed, cooled and then crushed. The resulting material was injection molded into the shape of a red ornament 4 of a toy accessory as shown in Fig. 1

An ornament 5 (yellow) and an ornament 6 (blue) were produced therein, except that the Bright Carman 6B was replaced by Hansa Yellow 10G and Phthalocyanine Blue, respectively.

Separately, a polypropylene having an MFR of 14 g / 10 min and a density of 0.91 g / cm³ it was injection molded to form the accessory base 3 that had an application boss 2. The ornaments 4 to 6 were mounted on the base 3 by means of the socket boss 2 to form a toy bracelet 1.

The bracelet thus produced had sufficient mechanical strength for the toy. Red, yellow and blue letters can easily be written on a sheet of drawing paper with ornaments 4 to 6 removed from the base.

Example 2

A toy jewel 11 (green) like the one shown in Fig. 3 was produced in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the writing composition was replaced by the following composition:

The jewel 11 was mounted on the base 13 by means of the fitting boss 12 to form a toy ring 10 as shown in Fig.
