State of the art

In the places of entry or passage from exterior spaces to interior spaces, it is common to place elements called doormats, to clean the sole of footwear of passersby, in order to avoid as much as possible the soiling of the interior floors with Footwear.

For this purpose, the use of mat-like elements that are arranged on the surface of the floor is known, which due to their economy and simplicity are practical in certain applications, as is the case of private homes and places with little traffic, but When it comes to large spaces and places with a lot of traffic, this type of elements is inappropriate, since by their nature they are not appropriate to efficiently cover large surfaces and, furthermore, the multitude of users causes said mats to move on the surface of the place of placement.

To solve the problem of movement due to use, fixing solutions have been developed, which increases the cost and difficulty of installation, in addition to the difficulty of disassembling for cleaning, or replacement if deterioration requires it.

To solve the problem of extension, modularity solutions and coupling assemblies have also been developed, but the embodiments that are known in this sense are complex and expensive, the practical utility of their application being very restricted.

Object of the invention

According to the invention, a modular assembly mat is proposed, with construction characteristics that make it structurally and functionally very advantageous.

This mat, object of the invention, consists elementally of a base profile in the form of a "U" groove, with respect to which an upper closing profile provided on the external surface with a layer of elastic material, such as rubber or the like, defined with a roughly shaped surface.

In this way, a set of simple installation is obtained, since it only requires the placement of the base profile in the place of application, being able to incorporate the closing profile by means of a simple fit, which also allows disengagement by simple extraction for any cleaning operation. , maintenance or replacement as necessary.

The length of the assembly thus formed can be whatever is desired by cutting the component profiles with the corresponding measure, while the base profile is provided with hooking lateral conformations that allow the successive collateral coupling of said profiles, thus being able to form a composition of any width, so that the formation dimensionality of the mat assembly is fully selective.

Underneath the base profiles there is a sponge sheet, with which a damping is determined that avoids the noise of the mat and favors its settlement in the installation, the composition of said sheet being provided by strips that are arranged in transverse direction, establishing with them a union of the base profiles of the mat composition, thereby strengthening the whole, giving consistency to the union of the component profiles.

For all these reasons, said mat object of the invention results from particular characteristics that give it a life of its own and a preferential character compared to the elements and assemblies that are known for the same application.

The object of the invention refers to a mat of modular formation, which allows a constructive realization of any measure, both longitudinal and width, with particular structuring and assembly characteristics.

The recommended mat is elementally constituted by a base profile (1) and a covering profile (2), which are coupled by fitting the covering profile (2) into the base profile (1), according to Figures 1 and two.

For this, the base profile (1) is of a grooved “U” configuration, with upper edges (1.1) turned or thickened towards the inside, while the covering profile (2) has on the lower face some pins or wings (2.1) of broken shape, by means of which a retaining latch is established with respect to the edges (1.1) of the base profile (1) in the mounting coupling, said covering profile (2) also having other pins or wings (2.2) to abut on the bottom of the base profile (1).

On the upper face, the covering profile (2) incorporates a layer (3) of synthetic material, such as rubber or similar, which is provided with a rough surface configuration, in the form of peaks, or with prominences of any type, determining a face suitable for loosening dirt from the sole of footwear by rubbing on it.

In this way, a set of easy installation is obtained, since it only requires placing the base profile (1) in the place of application, to later incorporate the covering profile (2) by fitting; said set being able to be determined with the desired length simply by cutting the profiles (1 and 2) to the corresponding dimension.

The covering profile (2) can also be disassembled in a simple and fast way, by means of simple extraction, thus making it very easy to carry out maintenance and cleaning operations, or replacing said covering profile (2) when necessary. .

In the practical embodiment, the base profile (1) is built with reciprocally corresponding lateral conformations (4 and 5), by means of which the connection by hooking between successive profiles (1) is susceptible, to form a composition of the width that is desired, which together with the cut of the longitudinal measure allows to form mats of any dimension, by means of successive equal base profiles (1) and respective covering profiles (2) that are incorporated on them.

The reciprocal lateral conformations (4 and 5) of the base profiles (1) can be of different shapes without altering the concept of the invention, for example as in Figures 3 to 6, where the conformations (4 and 5) determine a retention hook of the profiles (1), or as in figure 7, where one of the shapes (5) is tucked in, so that the side of the profiles (1) on that side remains without prominent parts, being able to be placed against a vertical wall in the place of installation, or as in figure 8, where the conformations (4 and 5) determine a clamping coupling by clipping.

Said embodiments are, however, not limiting, since with the same connection concept to hold consecutive profiles (1) to each other, the shapes (4 and 5) can be of other different shapes.

Underneath the mat assembly there is a sheet (6) of sponge or similar, on which the base profiles (1) rest, thus constituting said sheet (6) a cushion to avoid the sound of the mat when it is stepped on. he.
