Currently, establishments dedicated to the sale of certain items of a more or less reduced size and high cost, such as cameras, PDA's, mobile phones, etc., display these items in showcases equipped with means of closure and that allow the observation of said articles by the potential customer, but not their manipulation.

Other known devices use security elements that are inserted or adhere to the product to be displayed, which usually causes an internal or external deterioration of said article, which prevents its subsequent sale.

However, this type of exhibitors has certain drawbacks, such as the need to have several assistants to extract the article requested by the customer from the display case and to attend to said customer while he manipulates and observes the characteristics of the article in question. .

Obviously, this operation involves a significant cost in personnel, and may be insufficient in hours of maximum influx of potential customers, a possible reduction in the number of sales due to poor service to potential customers and a risk of theft of items during neglect of the customers. dependents.

Description of the invention

The anti-theft display for miscellaneous items, object of the present invention, presents a series of constructive peculiarities aimed at allowing the display of said items in an area accessible to customers, so that they can carry out their manipulation and observe their characteristics without being The intervention of an operator is necessary and without the said item being easily stolen.

For this and in accordance with the invention, this display comprises a support base, a safety cable fixed at one of its ends to the support base, a backpack intended to be attached to the item to be displayed, said backpack being permanently fixed to the safety cable, and a fastening strap whose ends are fixed to a length regulator mechanism that is housed in the backpack, the tape forming, together with the backpack, a loop of adjustable length to the contour or perimeter of the item to be exhibited.

The safety cable is fixed to the support base, either directly or by means of a winding device to collect said cable as the backpack approaches the support base.

With the aforementioned elements, this display allows the user to take the item on display, to which the set consisting of the backpack and the fastening strap is duly fixed, so that the user can distance it from the support base as necessary to observe its characteristics or perform its manipulation and test its functions, keeping the item related at all times with the support base by means of the safety cable, which prevents the user from stealing the item on display.

Another advantage of this display case is that the fixing of the item to be exhibited does not require the opening of the item or any deterioration of the item, which is why the item can be sold later.

According to the invention, the fastening tape is made of a non-slip material with high resistance to cutting, and said fastening tape also includes an alarm cable for detecting the tape cut, in the event that the user has a a suitable tool for this.

The backpack is covered, like the fastening tape, with a non-slip material, having also provided that it can incorporate a layer of adhesive material on that surface destined to contact the item on display to prevent the item from being laterally displaced. and be released from the loop formed by the strap and the backpack.

Said backpack can include sensors for the detection of possible fraudulent manipulation attempts, preventing, for example, that the user can try to open the backpack to act on the means of retention or regulation of the length of the belt and release the item on display, set by those.

The safety cable, also made of a material with high resistance to cutting, incorporates an alarm cable to detect possible attempts to cut.

This display can have a control device or simply a circuit for the connection of the alarm cables associated with the security cable, the fastening strap and the backpack with an alarm center, so that the cut of any of said alarm cables will cause the alarm center to emit a signal indicating the attempted theft or theft of one of the items on display.

Therefore, this anti-theft display rack, in addition to allowing the customer to manipulate and observe the characteristics of the items on display and to effectively prevent them from being stolen, reduces the costs of personnel assigned to the attention of potential customers and generates a sales system similar to self-service due to the lesser need for employee involvement.

Preferred embodiment of the invention

In the embodiment shown in the figures, the anti-theft display unit comprises a support base (1), to which a security cable (2) connected at the opposite end to a backpack (3) is attached, the display also incorporating a fastening tape (4) fixed in an adjustable way to the backpack (3), forming together with it a loop or loop for fastening the item (5) to be exhibited.

Inside the support base is housed a control device (11) connected by wired or wireless means to an alarm center which sends an alarm signal in the event of fraudulent manipulation of the backpack (3) or cutting the safety cable (2) or the retaining strap (4).

The support base also includes a winding device (12) to collect the safety cable (2) and that allows the backpack (3) to be distanced from the support base (1) to the extent allowed by the aforementioned safety cable ( two).

The backpack (3) internally includes sensors (33) also connected to the alarm circuit (11) by means of the alarm cable (21) causing the activation of the alarm circuit (11) in the event of a fraudulent opening. from said backpack (3) or an attempt is made to separate the exhibited object from the backpack.

The fastening tape (4) made of a flexible material with high resistance to cut includes an alarm cable (41) that causes the activation of the alarm circuit (11) in the event that the tape is cut ( 4).

One of the ends of the fastening strap (4) is fixed immovably to the backpack (3), while the other end is related to retention means that allow the useful length of the fastening strap to be varied ( 4) to form, together with the backpack, a loop of variable length and adjustable to the contour or perimeter of the article (5) to be exhibited.

In the concrete example of embodiment shown in figure 2, the fastening tape (4) has at the mobile end some recesses (42) in the form of a spike that allow the advance of said tape, in a certain direction, with respect to some retention teeth (34) associated with the backpack (3). The aforementioned retention teeth (34) allow the end of the tape (4) provided with recesses (42) to be inserted into the interior of the backpack (3) to make its adjustment to the article (5) to be exhibited.

To separate the item (5) from the anti-theft display, it is necessary to act on the retention teeth (34) and release a greater portion of the fastening tape (4).

It is noteworthy that these means for adjusting the length of the tape (4) have been shown for illustrative purposes only, and may have any other configuration that allows the useful length of the fastening tape (4) to be adjusted.
