Device, method, and graphical user interface for managing folders

A method is provided comprising, at a multifunction device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface, displaying a folder including a first selectable user interface object. A first input is detected; and, in response to detecting the first input, the first selectable user interface object is moved to a position that is outside of the folder. In accordance with a determination that the folder includes only one second selectable user interface object after moving the first selectable user interface object to the position that is outside of the folder, the folder is deleted; and the only one second selectable user interface object is displayed at a location on the display.
