15 claims: 10 independent, 5 dependent

  1. 1
A multi-sensor device (400), comprising:an illuminator (410);and a first optical detector (420), wherein the first optical detector (420) is to perform a first measurement when a surface of the multi-sensor device (400) is in contact with a target;characterised in that the multi-sensor device (400) further comprises a barrier between the illuminator (410) and the first optical detector (420);and a second optical detector (430) provided in the barrier, wherein the second optical detector (430) is to perform a second measurement when the surface of the multi-sensor device (400) is in contact with the target.
  2. 4
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 3, wherein the first optical detector (420) is larger than the second optical detector (430).
  3. 5
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the first optical detector (420) includes more pixels than the second optical detector (430);and/or wherein the first optical detector (420) has a larger cross-sectional area than the second optical detector (430).
  4. 6
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 7, wherein the first optical detector (420) is associated with a first spectral range, and wherein the second optical detector (430) is associated with a second spectral range that is different from the first spectral range.
  5. 7
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 6, further comprising:a light pipe (440) including an optical device to transmit light from a surface of the multi-sensor device (400) to the second optical detector (430).
  6. 8
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 7, further comprising:a light pipe (440) provided in the barrier.
  7. 9
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 8, wherein the first optical detector (420) uses the illuminator (410), wherein the multi-sensor device (400) further comprises a different illuminator, and wherein the second optical detector (430) uses the different illuminator.
  8. 10
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 9, wherein the illuminator (410) is associated with a spectral range, wherein the multi-sensor device (400) further comprises a different illuminator, and wherein the different illuminator is associated with a different spectral range that is different from the spectral range.
  9. 11
The multi-sensor device (400) of any of claims 1 to 10, wherein the second optical detector (430) includes an imaging sensor.
  10. 12
A method performed by a multi-sensor device (400), comprising:performing a first measurement using a first optical detector (420) of the multi-sensor device (400), wherein the first measurement is performed when a surface of the multi-sensor device (400) is in contact with a target;characterised in that the method further comprise: performing a second measurement using a second optical detector (430) of the multi-sensor device (400), wherein the second is performed when the surface of the multi-sensor device (400) is in contact with the target, and wherein the second optical detector (430) is in a barrier between the first optical detector (420) and an illuminator (410) of the multi-sensor device (400);and determining a combined measurement value based on the first measurement and the second measurement.
  11. 15
The method of any of claims 12 to 14, further comprising:providing, using the illuminator (410), light for the first measurement to be performed using the first optical detector (420);and/or transmitting, using a light pipe (440) in the barrier, light from a surface of the multi-sensor device (400) to the second optical detector (430).
