  1. 1
A method, comprising:receiving, from a host device (120), a first signal modulated (610) using a first modulation scheme that includes two levels;generating, at a memory controller (605) and based at least in part on receiving the first signal, a second signal (620) modulated using a second modulation scheme that includes three or more levels;and characterized in further comprising the steps of transmitting the second signal (620) to a first memory die and a second memory die of a first plurality of memory dies (625) that are coupled with the memory controller over a first through-silicon via (TSV) (621) and to a second plurality of memory dies (626) over a second TSV (622) and a third TSV (623), wherein the first TSV (621) is coupled with the first memory die and the second memory die, the second TSV (622) is coupled with each memory die of the second plurality of memory dies (626), and the third TSV bypasses the first plurality of memory dies (625);and accessing the first memory die, the second memory die, and the second plurality of memory dies (626) concurrently based at least in part on the third TSV (623).
  2. 12
An apparatus (680), comprising:a first plurality of memory dies (625) comprising a first memory die and a second memory die;a second plurality of memory dies (626);a first through-silicon via (TSV) (621) coupled with the first memory die and the second memory die;a second TSV (622) coupled with the second plurality of memory dies;a third TSV (623) that bypasses the first plurality of memory dies and is coupled with the second TSV;a memory controller (605) coupled with a host device (120), the first plurality of memory dies (625), and the second plurality of memory dies (626), wherein the memory controller (605) is operable to: receive, from the host device (120), a first signal (610) modulated using a first modulation scheme that includes two levels;generate, based at least in part on receiving the first signal (610), a second signal (620) modulated using a second modulation scheme that includes three or more levels;and transmit the second signal to the first memory die and the second memory of the first plurality of memory dies (625) over the first TSV (621) and to the second plurality of memory dies (626) over the second TSV (622) and the third TSV (623);and access the first memory die, the second memory die, and the second plurality of memory dies (626) concurrently based at least in part on the third TSV (623).
