    A method for operating a wearable display device (120), the method comprising:Determining (805) a position of the wearable display device based on a motion sensor at a first time;Rendering (810) an image based on the determined position;Determining (815) a first updated position of the wearable display device based on the motion sensor at a second time after the first time;Warping (820) a first portion of the rendered image based on the first updated position and to correct for distortion due to a lens of the wearable display device;displaying (825) the warped first portion of the rendered image on a display of the wearable display device;determining (830) a second updated position of the wearable display device based on the motion sensor at a third time after the second time;warping (835) a second portion of the rendered image based on the second updated position and to correct for distortion due to the lens of the wearable display device;and displaying (840) the warped second portion of the rendered image on the display of the wearable display device.

    A computer system for operating a wearable display device (120), the computer system comprising:means for determining (805) a position of the wearable display device based on a motion sensor at a first time;means for rendering (810) an image based on the determined position;means for determining (815) a first updated position of the wearable display device based on the motion sensor at a second time after the first time;means for warping (820) a first portion of the rendered image based on the first updated position and to correct for distortion due to a lens of the wearable display device;means for displaying (825) the warped first portion of the rendered image on a display of the wearable display device;means for determining (830) a second updated position of the wearable display device based on the motion sensor at a third time after the second time;means for warping (835) a second portion of the rendered image based on the second updated position and to correct for distortion due to the lens of the wearable display device;and means for displaying (840) the warped second portion of the rendered image on the display of the wearable display device.
