  1. 1
A display and processing device (202) for an industrial vehicle (100), the display and processing device (202) comprising:a screen display (152);memory storing executable instructions;and a processor in communication with the memory, wherein the processor is configured to: define a plurality of widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760), wherein each widget (502(N), 740, 750, 760) comprises a visual representation of a current state of an associated function of the industrial vehicle (100);control display of a subset of the plurality of widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760) on a portion of the screen display (152) defining a plurality of widget spaces (606, 608);control display of an icon tray on the screen display (152) comprising one or more icons (730), wherein at least one of the one or more icons (730) corresponds to a respective one of the plurality of widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760);and characterized in that the processor is further configured to: detect activation by a user of one of the one or more icons (730) corresponding to the respective one widget (502(N), 740, 750, 760);and in response to detecting the activation of the one icon (730): automatically move the respective one widget (502(N), 740, 750, 760) to a locked widget space (606, 608);lock the respective one widget (502(N), 740, 750, 760) in position in the locked widget space (606, 608);and shift the remaining one or more widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760) in the subset to the one or more remaining widget spaces (606, 608);when executing the executable instructions.
  2. 9
The display and processing device (202) of any of claims 1 to 8, wherein the processor is further configured to:define one of the plurality of widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760) as a rack height select (RHS) widget (760), the RHS widget (760) comprising: a workspace zone selection portion defining a first menu portion (761);a rack height selection portion (762) defining a sub-menu portion;and a load presence indicator (763a).
  3. 11
The display and processing device (202) of any of claims 1 to 10, further comprising:a vehicle network system (236) connecting the processor to at least one vehicle network bus, wherein the processor extracts a current position of a carriage assembly (144) and a current sensed load weight, wherein the processor is further configured to: define one of the plurality of widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760) as a capacity data monitoring (CDM) widget (740), the CDM widget (740) comprising a visual representation of the current position of the carriage assembly (144) and the current sensed load weight.
  4. 12
The display and processing device (202) of any of claims 1 to 11, further comprising a vehicle operator control section (310) comprising one or more physical input control elements, wherein the one or more physical input control elements are used to make selections on the screen display (152);optionally wherein the one or more physical input control elements comprise at least one of a five-button control, a trigger switch, or a rotary control knob.
  5. 13
The display and processing device (202) of any of claims 1 to 12, wherein the screen display (152) comprises a touch screen display (152) that receives touch gesture commands from a vehicle operator, and wherein the processor is further configured to:determine if a speed of the industrial vehicle (100) is below a threshold speed;and change one or more of the widgets (502(N), 740, 750, 760) of the subset on the touch screen display (152) following detection of a touch gesture on the touch screen display (152) and if the speed of the industrial vehicle (100) is below the threshold speed.
  6. 14
An industrial vehicle (100) comprising the display and processing device (202) of any of claims 1 to 13.
