  1. 1
A camera assembly (118) for deployment in a smart home environment, comprising:a housing (711);an image sensor (902) encased in the housing (711) and configured to capture activity of the smart home environment;a wireless radio (1302, 1306) configured to transmit video frames captured by the image sensor (902) to an electronic device via a remote server;at least one infrared transmitter (1112) configured to selectively illuminate the smart home environment;one or more circuit boards (1016) encased in the housing (711), the one or more circuit boards (1016) including at least one processor mounted thereon;a heating component coupled to the image sensor (902), the heating component configured to continuously maintain the image sensor (902) at a temperature above a threshold temperature while the image sensor (902) is capturing the activity of the smart home environment;and control circuitry configured to: determine a temperature of the image sensor (902) based on data from a temperature sensor;and set an operating parameter of the heating component based on the determined temperature.
  2. 4
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-3, wherein the heating component is affixed to an image sensor board associated with the image sensor (902).
  3. 6
The camera assembly of any of claims 2, further comprising one or more additional components, including one or more of:a system-on-a-chip (1322), SoC;a speaker assembly (904);a power conversion assembly;and a communications assembly (1024);and wherein the first plurality of thermally-conductive components (1018, 1022) are further configured to passively conduct heat from the one or more additional components to the housing (711).
  4. 8
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-7, further comprising a second plurality of thermally-conductive components (1026) coupled to the image sensor (902), the second plurality of thermally conductive components (1026) configured to passively conduct heat from the image sensor (902) to a front face (706) of the camera assembly (118).
  5. 10
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-9, further comprising:one or more illuminators (1036);and one or more toroidal lens (1110) configured to disperse light from one or more illuminators (1036) to a scene in a field of view of the camera assembly.
  6. 11
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-10, wherein the housing (711) includes one or more microphone holes (708, 710, 713), and the camera assembly (118) further comprises:one or more microphones (1008, 1114) coupled to the one or more microphone holes (708, 710, 713);and one or more membranes (1006) separating the one or more microphones (1008, 1114) from the one or more microphone holes (708, 710, 713), the one or more membranes (1006) configured to prevent water from entering an interior of the housing (711).
  7. 12
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-11, wherein the housing (711) includes one or more speaker holes (712), and the camera assembly (118) further comprises:one or more speakers (904) coupled to the one or more speaker holes (712);and one or more membranes separating the one or more speakers (904) from the one or more speaker holes (712), the one or more membranes configured to (a) prevent water from entering an interior of the housing (711) and (b) equalize internal and external air pressure.
  8. 13
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-12, further comprising a plurality of antennas coupled to the one or more circuit boards via an antenna ring (1024).
  9. 15
The camera assembly of any of claims 1-3 and 5-14, wherein the heating component is attached to a sensor heatsink coupled to the image sensor (902), or is disposed directly in contact with the image sensor (902).
