  1. 1
A sensor inserter assembly for applying an on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) to a skin (130) of a host, the sensor inserter assembly comprising:an on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) being movable in at least a distal direction from a proximal position to a distal position, a first securing feature (800, 800y, ...) configured to releasably secure the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) in the proximal position, a second securing feature configured to secure the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) in the distal position, a pusher (150) configured to move the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) from the proximal position to the distal position, and a first resistance feature (804, 804y, ...) configured to prevent movement of the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) in a proximal direction at least when the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) is in the distal position, wherein the first resistance feature (804, 804y, ...) comprises a distally-facing surface of the pusher (150).
  2. 2
The sensor inserter assembly of Claim 1, wherein the first resistance feature (804, 804y, ...) is configured to prevent movement of the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) in a proximal direction when the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) is secured in the distal position.
  3. 3
The sensor inserter assembly of Claim 1 or 2, wherein the first securing feature (800, 800y, ...) is configured to releasably secure the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) to a needle assembly.
  4. 4
The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 2-3, wherein the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) comprises a sensor module (134).
  5. 5
The sensor inserter assembly of Claim 4, wherein the sensor module (134) comprises a sensor (138) and a plurality of electrical contacts.
  6. 6
The sensor inserter assembly of Claim 5, wherein the sensor (138) is electrically coupled to at least one of the electrical contacts, at least when the sensor inserter assembly is in the first configuration.
  7. 7
    The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 1-6, wherein the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) comprises a base (128, 128w, ...).
  8. 8
The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 1-7, wherein the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) comprises a transmitter (500).
  9. 9
The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 1-8, wherein the second securing feature is configured to secure the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) to a second on-skin component.
  10. 10
The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 1-9, wherein the sensor inserter assembly comprises at least one distally-extending member, and wherein the first securing feature (800, 800y, ...) comprises a surface of the distally-extending member configured to frictionally engage with a corresponding structure of the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...).
  11. 11
The sensor inserter assembly of Claim 10, wherein the corresponding structure of the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...) comprises an elastomeric member (824, 824ab, ...).
  12. 12
The sensor inserter assembly of Claim 10 or 11, wherein the distally-extending member comprises at least one leg (802, 802y, ...) of the sensor inserter assembly.
  13. 13
The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 1-11, wherein the second securing feature comprises an adhesive (806) disposed on a distally-facing surface of the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...).
  14. 14
The sensor inserter assembly of any one of Claims 1-13, wherein the first resistance feature (804, 804y, ...) is proximal to an adhesive (806) disposed on a distally-facing surface of the on-skin component (134, 134n, 134w, ...).
