  1. 1
An electrode system capable of delivering a defibrillation current and configured to be disposed within a wearable defibrillator device, the electrode system, comprising:a gel deployment receptacle (1145);a shell (1140) defining a gel chamber (1105);a bladder (1110) disposed within the gel chamber (1105), the bladder configured to house the conductive gel;a fluid inlet (1185) in fluid communication with the gel chamber (1105);a plurality of apertures (1180) in fluid communication with the gel chamber (1105) for releasing the conductive gel from within the gel chamber onto the body of the subject;a fluid pump (1200) in fluid communication with the gel deployment receptacle (1145) via the fluid inlet (1185) for providing pressurized fluid to the gel chamber;and a seal (1115) configured to rupture responsive to a pressure of a fluid received at the fluid inlet (1185) from the fluid pump, the seal being disposed at one of an opening in the bladder (1110), between the bladder and the plurality of shell apertures (1180), and within a gel conduit.
  2. 4
The electrode system of any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the gel chamber (1105) is defined on a first side of the shell (1140) and the plurality of apertures (1180) includes a plurality of shell apertures defined in a second side of the shell.
  3. 6
The electrode system of any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the fluid inlet (1185) is in fluid communication with an internal volume of the gel chamber (1105) and an external surface of the bladder (1110).
  4. 7
The electrode system of any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the plurality of shell apertures (1180) comprises at least one first shell aperture (1180A) disposed at a first distance from the bladder (1110) and at least one second shell aperture (11808) disposed at a second distance from the bladder, the second distance being greater than the first distance, a cross-sectional area of the at least one second shell aperture being greater than a cross-sectional area of the at least one first shell aperture.
  5. 13
The electrode system of any one of claims 1 to 12, wherein the electrode system is disposed in a garment (105) of a wearable defibrillator device (100) including a monitor (125), the monitor in communication with at least one electrical component of the electrode system.
