A perfusion circuit for perfusing a liver ex-vivo comprising:a pump (106) for providing pulsatile fluid flow of a perfusion fluid through the perfusion circuit (100);a gas exchanger (114);a divider (105) in fluid communication with the pump (106), the divider configured to divide the pulsatile fluid flow into a first branch (315) and a second branch (313);wherein the first branch (315) comprises a hepatic artery interface (162);wherein the first branch (315) is configured to provide a first portion of the perfusion fluid to a hepatic artery of the liver at a high pressure between 25-150 mmHg and low flow rate between 0.25-1 L/min via the hepatic artery interface (162);wherein the first branch (315) is in fluid pressure communication with the pump (106);wherein the second branch (313) comprises a portal vein interface (166);wherein the second branch (313) is configured to provide a second portion of the perfusion fluid to a portal vein of the liver at a low pressure between 1-25 mmHg and high flow rate between 0.75 to 2 L/min via the portal vein interface (166);the second branch (313) further comprising a clamp (190) located between the divider (105) and the portal vein interface (166), the clamp (190) for selectively controlling the flow rate of the perfusion fluid to the portal vein;the second branch (313) further comprising a compliance chamber (186) configured to reduce pulsatile flow characteristics of the perfusion fluid from the pump (106) to the portal vein;wherein the pump (106) is configured to provide the pulsatile fluid flow of the perfusion fluid and the perfusion circuit is configured to provide: the pulsatile fluid flow of the perfusion fluid through the first branch (315), including the hepatic artery interface (162), to provide the first portion of the perfusion fluid to the hepatic artery of the liver at the high pressure between 25-150 mmHg and the low flow rate between 0.25-1 L/min, and a flow with a reduced pulsatile nature through the second branch (313), including the portal vein interface (166), to provide the second portion of the perfusion fluid to the portal vein of the liver at the low pressure between 1-25 mmHg and the high flow rate between 0.75 to 2 L/min;a drain (2806) configured to receive the perfusion fluid from an inferior vena cava of the liver;and a reservoir (160) positioned to be below the liver when in use, the reservoir located between the drain (2806) and the pump (106), the reservoir (160) configured to receive the perfusion fluid from the drain (2806) and store a volume of the perfusion fluid.
