  1. 1
A system comprising:(a) a publish-subscribe broker network comprising a plurality of publish-subscribe brokers (1304) that is configured to provide publish-subscribe broker services to a plurality of mobile devices in RF communication with a plurality of wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402), each wireless RF access node (102, 5602, 5402) is configured to enable at least one of the plurality of mobile devices to connect to the publish-subscribe broker network via a respective one of the plurality of publish-subscribe brokers (1304), and (b) a queuing service application (6602) that runs on a server, the queuing service application (6602) configured to provide service packet continuity when a mobile device (5604) moves between different wireless RF access nodes(102, 5602, 5402) in the same wireless network or in different wireless networks from each other, wherein the queuing service application (6602) is configured to connect to the publish-subscribe broker network via one of the plurality of publish-subscribe brokers (1304), and both a first mobile device (5604) of the plurality of mobile devices and the queuing service application (6602) are configured to subscribe to receive a same set of service packets distributed via the publish-subscribe broker network, wherein the first mobile device is configured to control a start and a stop of a queuing of service packets by the queuing service application on behalf of the first mobile device, wherein the queuing service application (6602) is configured to receive service packets which match the service packets concurrently sent to the first mobile device (5604), wherein the queuing service application (6602) is configured to make available the received service packets to replace service packets that the first mobile device (5604) did not receive during a time when the first mobile device (5604) is in transition between connections to different wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402) of the plurality of wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402) upon a request by the first mobile device.
  2. 11
A method comprising:(a) providing a publish-subscribe broker network comprising a plurality of publish-subscribe brokers (1304) that provide publish-subscribe broker services to a plurality of mobile devices in RF communication with a plurality of wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402), each wireless RF access node (102, 5602, 5402) enabling at least one of the plurality of mobile devices to connect to the publish-subscribe broker network via a respective one of the plurality of publish-subscribe brokers (1304), and (b) connecting a queuing service application (6602) to the publish-subscribe broker network via one of the plurality of publish-subscribe brokers (1304), wherein the queuing service application (6602) provides service packet continuity when a mobile device (5604) moves between different wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402) in the same wireless network or in different wireless networks from each other, and (c) subscribing, by both the queuing service application (6602) and a first mobile device (5604) of the plurality of mobile devices, to receive a same set of service packets distributed via the publish-subscribe broker network, wherein the first mobile device is configured to control a start and a stop of a queuing of service packets by the queuing service application on behalf of the first mobile device, wherein the service packets received by the queuing service application (6602) match the service packets concurrently sent to the first mobile device (5604), wherein the queuing service application (6602) makes available the received service packets to replace service packets that the first mobile device (5604) did not receive during a time when the first mobile device (5604) is in transition between connections to different wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402) of the plurality of wireless RF access nodes (102, 5602, 5402) upon a request by the first mobile device.
