Abstract

The present application relates to perfume raw materials, perfume delivery systems and consumer products comprising such perfume raw materials and/or such perfume delivery systems, as well as processes for making and using such perfume raw materials, perfume delivery systems and consumer products. Such perfume raw materials and compositions, including the delivery systems, disclosed herein expand the perfume communities' options as such perfume raw materials can provide variations on character and such compositions can provide desired odor profiles.

    A consumer product comprising:a.) based on total consumer product weight, from 0.0001% to 25% of a perfume raw material selected from 2,2-dimethyl-4-(,(1 R ,5 S )-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)butanal, 2,2-dimethyl-3-m-tolylpropan-1-ol, ( R , S ?)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-methylcyclohex-3-enyl)hexanal, ( R , S ?)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-methylcyclohex-3-enyl)hexan-1-ol, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal, 4-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-3,3-dimethylbutan-2-one, 4-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethyl-bicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-3,3-dimethylbutan-2-( R , S )-ol and mixtures thereof;and/or b.) a perfume delivery system comprising from 0.001% to 50% of one or more perfume raw material selected from 2,2-dimethyl-4-((1 R ,5 S )-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)butanal, 2,2-dimethyl-3-m-tolylpropan-1-ol, ( R , S ?)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-methylcyclohex-3-enyl)hexanal, ( R , S ?)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-methylcyclohex-3-enyl)hexan-1-ol, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal, 4-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-3,3-dimethylbutan-2-one, 4-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethyl-bicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-3,3-dimethylbutan-2-( R , S )-ol or a micture thereof;said perfume delivery system being a polymer assisted delivery system, a molecule-assisted delivery system, a fiber-assisted delivery system, an amine assisted delivery system, a cyclodextrin delivery system, a starch encapsulated accord, an inorganic carrier delivery system, or a pro-perfume;and c.) an adjunct ingredient.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1 which comprises, based on total composition weight, from 0.0001% to 25% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1, said perfume delivery system being a nanocapsule or a microcapsule comprising, based on total nanocapsule or microcapsule weight, from 0.1% to 99% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1, wherein said perfume delivery system is a starch encapsulated accord, which comprises, based on total starch encapsulated accord weight, from 0.1% to 99% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1, wherein said perfume delivery system is a cyclodextrin delivery system which cormpises, based on total cyclodextrin delivery system weight, from 0.1% to 99% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1, wherein said perfume delivery system is a polymer assisted delivery matrix system which comprises, based on total polymer assisted delivery matrix system weight, from 0.1% to 99% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1, wherein said perfume delivery system is an amine assisted delivery system, which comprises, based on total amine assisted delivery system weight, from 1% to 99% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to Claim 1, wherein said perfume delivery system is a pro-perfume amine reaction product, which comprises, based on total pro-perfume amine reaction product weight, from 0.1% to 99% of a perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanal and mixtures thereof.

    A consumer product according to any of Claims 1 to 8 comprising, based on total consumer product weight, from 0.001% to 20% of said perfume delivery system.

    A method of cleaning or treating a situs comprising optionally washing and/or rinsing said situs, contacting said situs with the consumer product of any of Claims 1 to 9, and optionally washing and/or rinsing said situs.

    A perfume raw material selected from the group consisting of ( R , S ?)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-methylcyclohex-3-enyl)hexan-1-ol, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile and mixtures thereof.

    A perfume comprising, based on total perfume weight, from 0.01% to 50% of one or more perfume raw materials selected from the group consisting of ( R,S ?)-2,2-dimethyl-5-(4-methylcyclohex-3-enyl)hexan-1-ol, 3-((1R,5S)-6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]hept-2-en-2-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropanenitrile, and mixtures thereof.
