The invention relates to a stand-up aid for a person in a bed with the features of the preamble of claim 1 and a bed equipped therewith.
For injured or elderly people, it is sometimes not always possible to get up from a lying position in a bed to a sitting position without aids and then to get up to get out of the bed. In order to provide an aid for raising such a person, care beds often have a bed gantry attached to them. This extends from the head end of the bed over the lying surface. Attached to this bed gallows is an approximately triangular handle. This can be grasped by a person lying in the bed in order to support the erection process in order to pull himself up on it. A support for getting up, ie for supporting the transfer and getting up process so that a person can get out of bed, cannot be achieved with such an aid.
In addition to bed gallows of this type, mobility aids have also become known which are intended to make it easier to get up from a bed. Such a stand-up aid is off, for example<patcit id="pcit0001" dnum="DE29709508U1"><text>DE 297 09 508 U1</text></patcit> known. This previously known mobility aid comprises a telescopic handle which, in the non-use position, is stowed below the lying surface of the bed. In its position of use, this is pulled out from below the lying surface and is angled slightly above the lying surface in relation to the telescopic direction in the vertical. The handle is designed like a bow and can be pivoted about a vertical pivot axis. The handle is fixed in predetermined positions by a detent. To release the detent, it is necessary to lift the handle in the vertical direction in order to detach the interengaging detent means from one another before further pivoting is possible. A person sitting on the edge of the bed can use such a handle to support himself / herself to stand up (to stand up). In order to be able to use this mobility aid, however, it is necessary that the person is already in a sitting position and preferably has already put their legs next to the lying surface.
Another mobility aid is off <patcit id="pcit0002" dnum="DE20307477U1"><text>DE 203 07 477 U1</text></patcit> known. This mobility aid has a handle attached to a movable slide on a substructure of the bed. This serves as well as the mobility aid<patcit id="pcit0003" dnum="DE29709508U1"><text>DE 297 09 508 U1</text></patcit> for getting out of bed, which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the bed. Yet another auxiliary device that can help a person get out of bed is off<patcit id="pcit0004" dnum="DE19716249A1"><text>DE 197 16 249 A1</text></patcit> known. The auxiliary device known from this document is a height-adjustable handle arrangement which is connected to the bed frame adjacent to the lying surface. However, these have the same disadvantages as those relating to the mobility aid according to FIG<patcit id="pcit0005" dnum="DE29709508U1"><text>DE 297 09 508 U1</text></patcit> are already shown.
It is undesirable, but unavoidable, that two different mobility aids are required to stand up and stand up automatically - on the one hand a bed gantry for getting up and on the other hand one of the mobility aids described above for getting up. Bed girders are often used as lifting aids, but are perceived to be extremely unaesthetic.
The <patcit id="pcit0006" dnum="GB2420270A"><text>GB 2,420,270 A</text></patcit> discloses a stand-up aid with the features of the preamble of claim 1. The pivotable erecting bar is straight. This is used to support a person lying up in a bed. For this purpose, the erecting rod can be pivoted relative to a cylindrical body, the pivoting mechanism being designed so that it is blocked in one pivoting direction but, on the other hand, can be moved in the opposite pivoting direction.
<patcit id="pcit0007" dnum="US20070044242A1"><text>US 2007/0044242 A1</text></patcit> discloses a mobility support that can be attached to the side of a bed, for example. A handle bar is attached to a support structure in such a way that it can be switched between a use position and a non-use position. The handle bar is designed to be angled in a vertical plane and comprises a vertically extending leg with which it engages in a sleeve of the fastening structure and the handle bar formed thereon. The handle bar can be pivoted relative to the sleeve. However, the articulated connection is not equipped with a locking mechanism.
<patcit id="pcit0008" dnum="US2004181877A1"><text>US 2004/181877 A1</text></patcit> discloses another stand-up aid. The support structure of this stand-up aid is not equipped with connection means that allow it to be connected to a frame part of a bed. A plate inserted below the mattress is used for fastening. The stand-up aid has a curved grip section which cannot be pivoted. Therefore, this stand-up aid does not disclose a pivotable locking mechanism, nor is the upright bar angled asymmetrically.
Out <patcit id="pcit0009" dnum="US4193147A"><text>U.S. 4,193,147</text></patcit> a lifting and transport device is known. This device has a seat supported by rollers, the backrest and lower leg support of which can be switched between a lying position and a sitting position and in intermediate positions. This device can have armrests on the right and left of the seat. In addition, the facility has a boom that can be rotated in a column and to which a lifting gear is connected. The boom can be raised with respect to the base of the device in order to be able to lift a person in the harness from the seat surface. This is done, for example, when going to the toilet, when a bed pan or a similar object is to be used. This bracket is of no help if the person sitting on the device wants to get up.
Based on this discussed prior art, the invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a stand-up aid with which not only the process of standing up from the lying position to a sitting position can be supported, but which can also be used as a stand-up aid to support a stand-up process can.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a stand-up aid for a person in a bed with the features of claim 1.
This stand-up aid is connected to a frame part of the bed. Typically, the bed to which such a stand-up aid is to be connected will be a sick bed or a care bed. Such beds have frame parts and cross struts made of metal profiles, therefore frame parts which are particularly suitable for absorbing the forces acting on such a stand-up aid when it is in use. The stand-up aid itself comprises a column equipped with connection means to such a frame part, a stand-up rod and a connecting or articulated member for the articulated connection of the stand-up rod to the column, via which connection element a pivoting of the stand-up rod is made possible in the horizontal direction. The erecting bar itself is located in a plane transverse to the longitudinal extension of the column and is therefore designed to be able to reach over the lying surface. The erecting rod can be pivoted relative to the column and can thus be brought from a position in which it grips over the lying surface into a position in which it is aligned parallel to the long side of the bed or can also be pivoted further beyond. The articulated connection between the erecting rod and the column is designed in such a way that a pivoting movement of the erecting rod in one direction is possible when using the stand-up aid to support the erecting and / or standing up process, while a pivoting movement in the opposite direction is blocked or blocked is. When using the stand-up aid, the pivoting direction of the stand-up bar, which is directed in the direction of the person using the stand-up aid, is blocked. For this reason, a person using the stand-up aid can pull himself up on the erecting bar, thus exerting a tensile load. The pivotability of the erecting rod in the other, non-blocked pivoting direction allows the erecting rod to be pivoted away from the person after the person has brought himself into a sitting position, in order to then be able to be used again as an aid, so that the first up The sitting position located on the lying surface can be changed into such a sitting position from which the person can get up and thus get out of bed. If the person is in a sitting position in which the feet are placed on the floor next to the bed, the person can support himself on the erecting bar in order to bring himself into a standing position. It is easily possible for the erecting rod to be swiveled out further and the person standing up can also pull himself up on it, since a swiveling movement in the opposite direction is blocked. If the person stands up, he or she can hold on to the standing pole.
In many cases, you will not need the stand-up aid for the reverse process of sitting on the bed and getting yourself back into the lying position. Should this nevertheless be desired, such a stand-up aid, as is the case in a preferred exemplary embodiment, will be equipped with a releasable locking mechanism, which is preferred in any case. In these processes, too, the erecting bar is loaded in the same direction as when assisting erecting and sitting down. To this extent, when using this stand-up aid to sit down and lie down, the locking mechanism will gradually be released so that the erecting bar can be adjusted in this direction before you typically move from sitting down to the lying position.
Such a raising aid is preferably equipped with a switching device for switching the blocking direction. This can be used to adjust due to a different desired blocking direction depending on the attachment of the stand-up aid to the bed and the direction in which a person uses the holding force of the stand-up aid.
Such a locking mechanism can be designed in the manner of a locking pawl mechanism, such as those used as tools in ratchets. To implement the locking mechanism described above, mechanisms other than locking pawl mechanisms can also be used.
The column of the stand-up aid is expediently designed in two or more parts. The lowest part of the column is connected to the frame of the bed. This column part can be designed as a hollow profile, so that a second column part can dip into it and can be longitudinally displaced therein and locked in relation to the first column part. In such a case, the second column part, if the column should consist of two column parts, carries the erecting bar. If the column consists of more than two parts, the erecting rod is carried by the uppermost column part.
The erecting bar is angled, namely asymmetrically, so that it has a shorter and a longer leg. With the shorter leg, the erecting rod is connected to the column in an articulated manner in the manner described above. The longer leg of the erecting bar then forms the actual grip section that a user grabs for using the stand-up aid. The angled design of the erecting bar has the advantage that when the column is attached directly to the frame of the bed and thus immediately adjacent to the lying surface, the grip section is at a distance from the edge of the lying surface when a person using the raising aid is sitting and has their feet on the floor .
The erecting rod can also be designed as a bracket as a whole or only with regard to its grip section.
In a further development it is provided that the erecting bar can be pivoted open from a horizontal or substantially horizontal use position into a vertical or vertically similar non-use position. In such a case, the erecting bar can also be used for other purposes, for example for hanging an infusion bag. In the case of an angled erecting rod, it is expedient to enable this pivoting movement in that the shorter leg of the erecting rod is pivoted about its longitudinal axis. This can be achieved in that the connecting member via which the erecting rod is connected to the column has a pivot pin on which the shorter leg of the erecting rod is pivotably seated. The erecting rod can be held on a pivot pin by a bolt which engages in a slot-like guide groove in the leg and is fixed in the pivot pin of the connecting link.

A stand-up aid 1 comprises a column 2 and an erecting rod 3 which is pivotably connected to the column 2. The erecting rod 3 is connected to the column 2 with the interposition of a joint member 4.
The column 2 of the illustrated embodiment is made in one piece. The column 2, which has a square cross-sectional area with rounded corners, is guided in a guide tube section 5. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the guide tube section 5 is a tube section with the same geometry as the cross-sectional geometry of the column 2, but with an inner diameter so that this column 2 can dip into it and is displaceable in the longitudinal direction relative to the guide tube section 5. A clamping screw is inserted into a wall of the guide tube section 5, with which the column 2 can be fixed within the guide tube section 5 (not shown). In this way, the height of the erecting rod 3 and thus its pivot plane can be adjusted. The guide tube section 5 is connected to a plate 6. The plate 6 is part of a connection means for connecting the stand-up aid 1 to the frame of a bed. In addition to the plate 6, these connection means comprise a U-shaped sleeve 7 which encompasses a support, typically the longitudinal support or longitudinal spar of a bed. The plate 6 interacts with the cuff 7 in such a way that a frame part of the bed inserted into the spar receptacle 8 can be braced therein so that the column 2 is immovably connected to the frame part.
The erecting rod 3 is angled in the illustrated embodiment, namely asymmetrically, so that a shorter leg and a longer leg result. The longer leg of the erecting bar 3 serves as a grip section 9 that a person grabs when they want to stand up and / or get out of a bed with the aid of the stand-up aid 1 in a bed to which the stand-up aid 1 is connected. The shorter leg 10 is attached to the connecting or Joint member 4 connected. The erecting rod 3 can be pivoted about the longitudinal axis L of the column 2, as shown in FIG<figref idref="f0001 f0002">Figure 1</figref> is indicated by the arrow.
The joint member 4, with which the erecting rod 3 is pivotably connected to the column 2 in the manner described above, comprises a locking mechanism. This locking mechanism is a ratchet mechanism, as it is basically used when using tool ratchets. By this locking mechanism, a pivoting movement of the erecting rod 3 in the in<figref idref="f0001 f0002">Figure 1</figref> arrow direction shown possible, but not in the opposite direction. The joint member 4 has a switching mechanism which can be actuated by means of a switch 11. With this switching mechanism, on the one hand, the locking mechanism can be released so that the erecting rod 3 can then be pivoted in both directions. Furthermore, by switching the locking mechanism can be set to act in the opposite direction.
In addition to the above-described pivotability of the erecting rod 3 in a horizontal plane, which represents the position of use of the erecting rod 3, it can also be pivoted open about the longitudinal axis of its leg 10. The erecting rod 3 will be brought into an upwardly pivoted position when it is not needed. The erected position of the erecting bar 3 for the purpose of erecting and / or standing up is also referred to as the non-use position in the context of this embodiment. This does not mean that the erected erecting bar cannot be used for other purposes in this position.
The erecting rod 3 is pivotable about the longitudinal axis of its leg 10, in that the joint member 4 carries a pivot pin which is partially immersed in the leg 10 and with respect to which the erecting rod 3 is pivotable. A slot-like guide groove 12 is made in the leg 10 itself. In this a bolt 13, which sits in the pivot pin of the joint member 4, is held in an engaging manner. As a result, the amount of pivoting of the erecting rod 3 about the longitudinal axis of its leg 10 can be limited. In the in<figref idref="f0001 f0002">Figure 1</figref> The position of the erecting bar 3 shown in the figure prevents further lowering because the bolt 13 is on the in <figref idref="f0001 f0002">Figure 1</figref> recognizable end of the guide groove 12 is applied. In an analogous manner, the amount of pivoting of the erecting rod 3 is also limited.
The stand-up aid 1 can also be connected to another side of the bed with its stand-up bar. Depending on the orientation of the use of the bed, the raising bar and / or the locking mechanism must then be adapted accordingly.
The stand-up aid 1 is in the <figref idref="f0003">Figures 2a, 2b</figref> connected to a frame 14, shown schematically, of a bed 15 which is otherwise not shown in detail. The stand-up aid 1 is connected to a longitudinal spar of the bed frame 14. The stand-up bar 3 extends with its grip section 9 over the lying surface 16 enclosed by the frame 14. This in the<figref idref="f0003">Figures 2a, 2b</figref> The position shown of the erecting bar 3 is the position from which a person using the standing aid 1 grabs it in order to move from a lying position to a sitting position. Due to the above-described locking mechanism, which blocks a pivoting movement of the raising bar 3 in the direction of the head end 17 of the bed 15 in order to support the raising of a person, a person can comfortably pull himself up from the lying position to a sitting position on the handle section 9.
From the perspective view of the <figref idref="f0003">Figure 2</figref> it can be seen that the possibility of adjusting the height of the erecting bar 3 as a function of the height of the mattress located on the frame 14 or lying surface 16 is useful.
If a person has to get out of bed 15, the stand-up aid 1 can also be used to support this. For this purpose, the person who has already moved from the lying position to the end-of-seat position with the aid of the stand-up aid 1 slides in the direction of the edge of the bed to which the stand-up aid 1 is connected. This is easily possible due to the possibility of pivoting the erecting rod 3 in this direction.
<figref idref="f0004">Figures 3a, 3b</figref> show a position of the erecting bar 3 of the stand-up aid 1, in which a user is sitting on the edge of the bed and has already set up his feet on the floor side. In this position it makes a difference<figref idref="f0004">Figure 3</figref> can be seen, the angled design of the erecting bar 3 positively noticeable, since this design leaves enough space for a user between the edge of the bed 15 and the extension of the handle section 9 Pull yourself up or push yourself up on this from his sitting position to standing.
In order to make it easier to leave the bed 15, it is provided in the illustrated embodiment that the raising bar 3 with its grip section 9 is even wider than in the <figref idref="f0004">Figures 3a, 3b</figref> shown, can be pivoted out so that there is enough space between the handle portion 9 and the edge of the bed 15 to be able to step away comfortably. This position of the erecting bar 3 of the stand-up aid 1 is shown in<figref idref="f0005">Figure 4</figref> shown in a top view.
While the stand-up aid 1 in the <figref idref="f0002 f0003 f0004 f0005">Figures 1 to 4</figref> is shown with its erecting bar 3 in its position of use is shown in FIG <figref idref="f0006">Figure 5</figref> yet another position of the stand-up aid 1 is shown. In this the erecting rod 3 is pivoted vertically and is in its non-use position. If necessary, the erecting rod 3 can be used in this position in order to be able to hang up certain objects, for example infusion bags. In such a use of the erecting rod 3, it is considered useful if this in the in<figref idref="f0006">Figure 5</figref> shown upright non-use position is fixed.
The stand-up aid 1 can, when the erecting bar 3 is in its position of use, for example in the position of use according to the <figref idref="f0003">Figures 2a, 2b</figref> can also be used to be used as a holder for, for example, a tray, a push-on table or the like.
In the <figref idref="f0007">Figure 6</figref> The stand-up aid shown 1.1 corresponds in terms of its design to that of the stand-up aid 1 of the previous figures. The stand-up aid 1.1 differs with regard to its connection means for connecting its column 2.1 to the spar 18 of a bed frame or bed frame, which is otherwise not shown in detail. While a cuff was used as the connection means in the stand-up aid 1 of the preceding figures for connecting the stand-up aid to a bed frame, the connection means of the stand-up aid 1.1 is designed as a clamping frame 19. The clamping frame 19 has a U-shaped spar receptacle 20, the two legs 21, 21.1 of which are directed away from the column 2.1 of the stand-up aid 1.1. The spar support 20 is thus open towards the bottom and is placed onto the spar 18 from above. The column 2.1 of the stand-up aid 1.1 is arranged on the back of the U-shaped spar receptacle 20. The spar mount 20 and the column 2.1 are welded to one another. A clamping plate 22, which is arranged inside the spar receptacle 20 and has a flat extension parallel to the legs 21, 21.1, is used to fix the clamping bezel 19 to the spar 18. Two clamping screws 23, 23.1 pass through the leg 21 of the spar receptacle 20, this passage serving as a guide for the clamping screws 23, 23.1. Sitting on the clamping screws 23, 23.1, as shown in the illustration of<figref idref="f0007">Figure 7</figref> recognizable, a clamping nut 24, which acts to clamp the clamping plate 22 on the spar 18 against the inside of the leg 21. The clamping connection between the spar 18 and the leg 21.1 of the spar receptacle 20 and the clamping plate 22 is brought about by tensioning the clamping nut 24.
The spar receptacle 20 is particularly suitable for connecting to differently designed bed frames or their longitudinal spars, since the stand-up aid 1.1 with its spar holder 20 is placed on a longitudinal spar from above as a connection means. It is therefore not necessary to encircle a longitudinal spar, as is provided in the object of the stand-up aid 1 with the cuff comprising a spar, when using a clamping frame 19. It is also advantageous that the clamping frame 19 can have a certain longitudinal extent, as a result of which a force is introduced over a larger area into the spar received therein. This is advantageous because, when the same is used, not inconsiderable torsional forces act via the stand-up aid 1.1, which is connected to the spar receptacle 20 of the clamping frame 19 by means of its column 2.1. In this respect, the clamping frame 19 can also be used to connect a stand-up aid to a bed frame without damaging even weight-optimized spars.
<figref idref="f0008">Figure 8</figref> shows schematically in a plan view a further possibility of connecting a stand-up aid to a bed frame by means of its column. The in<figref idref="f0008">Figure 8</figref> The connection means shown for connecting the column to a frame part of a bed is a column mount 25 which is fastened by means of a fitting plate 26 to the outwardly facing side of a spar of a bed frame. This can be done using screws or a joining process. The column holder 25 is shown in Figure 8 in a plan view. The column holder 25 is a square tube piece with an inside width into which the column of a stand-up aid can be inserted with the necessary freedom of movement. The inside width of the column receptacle 25 is adapted to the edge length of a column of a standing aid, which column also has a square cross-sectional area. A special feature of the column holder 25 is that a clamping screw 27 is used to fix the column inside the column holder 25. The threaded shaft of the clamping screw 27 engages in a threaded sleeve 28 designed with a complementary internal thread. The threaded sleeve 28 is arranged on an edge of the column receptacle 25, the axis of the internally threaded bore of the threaded sleeve 28 being in alignment with the bisector of the walls of the column receptacle which are adjacent to one another at the edge. As a result, the foot 29 of the clamping screw 27, which is equipped with a right-angled notch 30 in the illustrated embodiment, acts on an edge of a column inserted into the column receptacle 25. The column inserted into the column receptacle 25 is pressed in this way by the clamping screw 27 against the inside of the walls 31, 32. In this way, a column of a stand-up aid inserted into the column holder 25 is fixed in the two directions of the opening of the column holder 25.
When using such a connection means, the height of the stand-up aid can be adjusted in the same way as with the stand-up aid 1.
Transverse forces that occur when the stand-up aid is used are introduced over the length of the fitting plate 26 into the adjacent spar 33 over a large area.
The invention has been described on the basis of a stand-up aid which is connected to the right side of the bed from the direction of view of a person using the stand-up aid. It goes without saying that such a stand-up aid can of course be connected to any side of the bed, in particular also to the other side of the bed. In such a case, with the same lying direction, the person using the lifting aid is designed or assembled with mirror symmetry.
The invention has been described on the basis of exemplary embodiments. Without departing from the scope of the applicable claims, a person skilled in the art will find numerous further design options for implementing the claimed invention.
