  1. 1
Claims of equivalent WO 2014145017 A2 What is claimed is:1. A method for using variable-depth sonar, comprising: determining one or more frequency bands for sonar equipment;identifying nulls in frequency response based on the frequency bands;determining an ambient pressure applied to the sonar equipment;and adjusting a center operating frequency for the frequency bands based on the ambient pressure.
  2. 5
A sonar system comprising:a pressure sensor configured to detect an ambient pressure applied to the sonar system;and processing circuitry configured to: determine one or more frequency bands for the sonar system;identify nulls in frequency response based on the frequency bands;receive the ambient pressure from the pressure sensor;and adjust a center operating frequency for the frequency bands based on the ambient pressure.
  3. 9
A method for calculating a velocity state of a vehicle, comprising:transmitting, using at least one transducer, a first signal in a first direction;receiving, using a Doppler sensor, an echo of the first signal;transmitting, using the at least one transducer, a second signal in a second direction;receiving, using the Doppler sensor, an echo of the second signal;calculating, using the received echoes of the first signal and the second signal, at least one velocity measurement;and calculating, based on the at least one velocity measurement, a vehicle velocity state.
  4. 18
A system for calculating a velocity state of a vehicle, comprising:at least one transducer configured to: transmit a first signal in a first direction;and transmit, using the at least one transducer, a second signal in a second direction;a Doppler sensor configured to: receive an echo of the first signal;and receive an echo of the second signal;and processing circuitry configured to: calculate, using the received echoes of the first signal and the second signal, at least one velocity measurement;and calculate, based on the at least one velocity measurement, a vehicle velocity state.
  5. 28
A method for calculating a velocity state of a vehicle, comprising:transmitting, using at least one transducer, a first signal in a first direction;receiving an echo of the first signal;subsequent to transmitting the first signal, transmitting a second signal in the first direction using the at least one transducer;receiving an echo of the second signal;correlating the echo of the second signal with the echo of the first signal;calculating, based on the correlation, a displacement of the vehicle;and calculating, based on the displacement and a time between the first signal and the second signal, at least one velocity measurement.
  6. 36
A system for calculating a velocity state of a vehicle, comprising:at least one transducer configured to: transmit a first signal in a first direction;and subsequent to transmitting the first signal, transmit a second signal in the first direction;a sensor configured to: receive an echo of the first signal;and receive an echo of the second signal;and processing circuitry configured to : correlate the echo of the second signal with the echo of the first signal;calculate, based on the correlation, a displacement of the vehicle;and calculate, based on the displacement and a time between the first signal and the second signal, at least one velocity measurement.
