  1. 1
Claims of equivalent WO 2014116879 A1 CLAIMS 1. A method of radio state transition on a mobile device in a manner that is application aware in a mobile network, the method, comprising:modifying a time at which a request to trigger transition of a radio state is to be sent, the request to be sent from the mobile device, wherein, the transition of a radio state is a transition from a first resource state to a second, more resource efficient, state;wherein, the time is modified based on an application accessed on or via the mobile device.
  2. 22
A method for directing fast dormancy on a mobile device that is context aware, the method, comprising:adjusting an initiation time for a radio release request message from the mobile device based on an indicia of contextual data detected at the mobile device.
  3. 30
A mobile device which implements fast dormancy in a manner that is application aware, the mobile device, comprising:a local proxy on the mobile device, the local proxy configured to: monitor a first indicia of activity;and adjust an initiation time for a radio release request message based on the first indicia of activity.
  4. 39
A system for directing fast dormancy in a wireless network that is context aware or application aware, the system comprising:a network interface in communication with at least one mobile device;and a proxy server, wherein, the proxy server is configured to: monitor a first indicia of contextual data on the at least one mobile device;and adjust an initiation time for a signal to transition energy states at the at least one mobile device based on the first indicia of contextual data.
  5. 50
A mobile device, comprising:a radio;a processor;a memory unit having instructions stored thereon which when executed by the processor, cause an initiation time of a signal to request transition of energy states of the radio to be adjusted based on information specific to the mobile device.
