  1. 1
A method of synchronizing control logic for an automation controller (320) with a representation of the control logic stored at a communication network (102), the automation controller (320) being located remotely from the communication network (102), the method comprising:initially deploying (202), by a processor (302) of a communication network controller (300), control logic from the communication network controller (300) to the automation controller (320);storing (204) the control logic at the automation controller (320);sending (206), by the processor (302), a representation of the control logic to a memory (323, 408) of the communication network (102);storing (208) the representation of the control logic in the memory at the communication network (102);receiving, by the processor (302), a change request (210) from a third party (322) at the communication network (102) for a change to be made to the representation of the control logic;creating (214) a changed representation of the control logic in the memory at the communication network (102) based on the change request;re-deploying (216), by the processor (302), the control logic to the automation controller (320) so that the operation of the re-deployed control logic is synchronized with the changed representation of the control logic at the communication network (102);and remotely servicing (218), from a service center (324), the changed representation of the control logic at the communication network.
  2. 10
A system of synchronizing control logic for an automation controller (320) with a representation of the control logic stored at a communication network (102), the system comprising:the communication network (102) including a memory (323);the automation controller (320) located remotely from the communication network (102);and a communication network controller (300) including: an interface (304) having an input and an output;a processor (302) coupled to the memory (323) and the interface (304), the processor (302) configured to initially deploy control logic from the communication network controller (300) to the automatic controller (320) via the output, the processor (302) further configured to: store a representation of the control logic at the memory (323) of the communication network (102);receive a change request from a third party (322) at the communication network (102) for a change to be made to the representation of the control logic;create a changed representation of the control logic in the memory at the communication network (102) based on the change request;re-deploy the control logic to the automation controller (320) via the output so that the operation of the re-deployed control logic is synchronized with the changed representation of the control logic at the communication network (102), and receive another change request from a service center (324) for remotely servicing the changed representation of the control logic at the communication network (102).
