Radar antenna and radar apparatus including the same

Abstract

A radar antenna (2) is provided. The radar antenna (2) includes an antenna body (4), a housing (16) housing a plurality of components (9, 10, 11, 12) for controlling the antenna body (4), and a ventilation path (18) formed in a predetermined ventilating direction and penetrating the housing (16). One or more of the plurality of components (9, 10, 11, 12) are disposed inside the housing (16) to be separated from the rest of the components with respect to the ventilation path (18) therebetween.

  3. 3
The radar antenna (2) of Claim 1 or 2, wherein the plurality of components (9, 10, 11, 12) at least include a first heat generating body (9) and a second heat generating body (20), and wherein the first heat generating body (9) is disposed separately from the second heat generating body (20) with respect to the ventilation path (18) therebetween.
  4. 4
The radar antenna (2) of any one of Claims 1 to 3, further comprising a frame (14) to which the plurality of components (9, 10, 11, 12) are attached, wherein the ventilation path (18) includes:a ventilation section (30) formed by the frame (14);and a ventilation hole (31) formed in the housing (16) and communicating with the ventilation section (30).
  5. 5
The radar antenna (2) of Claim 3, wherein the first heat generating body (9) is an oscillation element (9), and the second heat generating body (20) is a heating element (20) disposed on a circuit board (11, 12) for signal processing.
  6. 6
The radar antenna (2) of Claim 5, wherein the ventilation path (18) is formed into a rectangular duct-like shape, and wherein the circuit board (11, 12) is disposed parallel to an outer circumferential surface of the rectangular duct-like ventilation path (18).
  7. 7
The radar antenna (2) of any one of Claims 1 to 6, wherein the ventilation path (18) is arranged so that the ventilating direction is substantially horizontal.
