0001The invention relates to adhesive sanitary cleaning and scenting agents for cleaning and / or disinfecting and / or for fragrance delivery for sanitary objects such as toilet sinks, which are also suitable for removing limescale and urine scale.
0002Adhesive sanitary agents of this type are viscous, generally pasty gels, which are applied from an appropriate container directly to the surface of the sanitary object, adhere there and can only be rinsed off after a large number of rinsing processes. In general, these agents are at least partially liquid crystalline.
0003Due to the direct adhesion of the agent on the surface of the sanitary object, it is not necessary to provide additional containers such as the so-called "toilet basket", the use of which is perceived by the consumer as unsanitary, in particular when replacing the sanitary agent and when cleaning the toilet.
0004Such adhesive sanitary products are from the <patcit id="pcit0001" dnum="WO9966017A"><text>WO 99/66017</text></patcit> known. In addition to surfactants, water and fragrances, they also include adhesion promoters, for example from the class of nonionic surfactants such as polyalkoxyalkanes, and are viscous, solid or pasty agents. A polarization-microscopic examination of the cleaning agents known from this publication shows that the agents comprise liquid-crystalline phases, in particular of hexagonal structures.
0005In order to prevent the surface of these adhesive agents from drying out and to provide an attractive and smooth surface regardless of the number of rinses, the <patcit id="pcit0002" dnum="DE10048887A1"><text>DE 100 48 887 A1</text></patcit> proposed to add an aliphatic di-, oligo- or polyhydroxy compound or its ether to the agent.
0006From the<patcit id="pcit0003" dnum="EP1318191A"><text>EP 1 318 191</text></patcit> A sanitary agent is known which, as an adhesion promoter, comprises compounds from the group consisting of block polymers comprising oligo or polyethylene oxide and / or oligo and / or polypropylene oxide and / or oligo and / or polybutylene oxide, aryl ethoxylates or alkyl aryl ethoxylates.
0007These known adhesive sanitary agents can be applied in a simple and hygienic manner with a suitable device, adhere to the surface of the sanitary object, retain their shape and are not washed down as a whole even under the action of water, but only dissolve after a large number of Rinses gradually open completely.
0008Furthermore, from the <patcit id="pcit0004" dnum="DE10356254A1"><text>DE 103 56 254 A1</text></patcit> adhesive sanitary products have become known which comprise anionic surfactants and nonionic surfactants as adhesion promoters and silicates as thickeners.
0009These agents are characterized by good handling and a good cleaning effect. Because the agent can be applied directly, it is no longer necessary for the consumer to have to touch a possibly contaminated toilet basket when refilling. The consumer can also apply the agent in the amount desired by him and is not limited to the amount of packaging provided by the manufacturer.
0010Another advantage of the known gel-like adhesive agents is that they are distinguished by a significantly better fragrance release compared to the detergent tablets.
0011A large number of the adhesive sanitary products known to date are in gel form. Due to the instability of the gel structure, however, the addition of additives which are otherwise customary in sanitary products frequently leads to the destruction of the gel structure.

0014The previously known adhesive sanitary products are neutral or alkaline and therefore cannot be used to remove limescale and urine scale like acidic cleaners.
0015The addition of the usual acids contained in sanitary agents such as amidosulfonic acid to these adhering, mostly gel-like sanitary agents leads to the destruction of the gel structure.

The<patcit id="pcit0016" dnum="DE102008051173A1"><text>DE 10 2008 051173 A1</text></patcit> discloses an adhesive agent for the sanitary sector, which can also include polyalkyleneimines or polyetheramines as an adhesion promoter.
0018The object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive sanitary agent with good cleaning performance, by means of which lime and urine scale can also be effectively removed.
0019This object is achieved by sanitary agents which, as adhesion promoters, comprise an acidic salt of an oxo acid of the following formula:<chemistry id="chem0001" num="0001"><img file="EP2597948B1_D0001.tif" /></chemistry>where R is alkyl or aryl, R 'is an alkyl or a hydroxyalkyl group, R "is an alkyl, aryl or alkoxyalkyl group, m = 1 to 50, n = 0, 1, 2, r = 0, 1 and p = 1, 2 and where the viscosity of the agent, measured with a Haake viscometer, system plate-cone, sensor PK 5 1 °, shear rate of 25 s-1 and 20 ° C is at least 15,000 mPas.
0020Because the adhesion promoter according to the invention is acidic, it is effective against urine scale and lime. In addition, it shows good adhesion to hard surfaces, which can be wet or dry (ceramics, tiles, metal, glass, tiles, etc.), so that the agents comprising the adhesion promoter according to the invention also have the desired adhesion and only gradually after they have been stuck on after being rinsed off again. It also has the properties of an anionic surfactant.
0021Unlike the conventional acids such as amidosulfonic acid, the acid structure of the invention does not destroy the gel structure in a gel system.
0022In the context of the present invention, oxo acids are understood to mean all oxygen-containing acids with an inorganic central atom.
0023The oxo acids are esterified with an organic radical which has a terminal alkyl or aryl radical R and an oligo or polyether group. The oligo or polyether group (OR ') is an oligo or polyalkoxy group which can also be hydroxylated, preferably an alkoxy or hydroxyalkoxy group with less than 8 carbon atoms, particularly preferably a C2 and C3, ie the oligoether group OR' is an ethoxy, Propoxy or glyceryl group (OCC (H) (OH) -C-).
0024The terminal radical R following the ether function is an alkyl group or an aryl group, preferably a C.8-C22-Alkylrest (branched or unbranched) and a benzyl (aryl) residue, but also a heteroaromatic.
0025If the free oxo acid is to have further OH groups in addition to the OH group esterified with the oligo / polyether radical and the free OH group, the further OH groups may also be esterified provided the compound is still acidic.
0026In the variant with r = 0, the alkyl radical R 'is bonded directly to the central atom X and is therefore not bridged via a further oxygen bridge. This class of compounds is also possible as long as they have the required acidity.
0027The proportion of the acidic adhesion promoters according to the invention in the composition should be between 1% by weight and 50% by weight, preferably between 3% by weight and 30% by weight and particularly preferably between 5% by weight and 26% by weight.
0028Acidic alkyl polyglycol ether phosphates, for example, can be used as adhesion promoters according to the invention.
0029Particularly preferred adhesion promoters are the acidic alkyl polyglycol ether phosphates, which are available, for example, under the trade name Phosfetal from Zschimmer & Schwarz, Lahnstein, Germany, Crafol from Cognis or Naxonac from Nease Performance Chemicals.
0030These acidic anionic surfactants, as phosphoric acid esters, are less sensitive to water hardness formers such as calcium or magnesium, have good lime soap dispersibility, are very resistant to alkalis and are compatible with anionic, amphoteric and nonionic surfactants. Furthermore, they are anti-corrosive, completely biodegradable and comply with the Detergent Regulation of EC No. 648/2004.
0031With a proportion of approximately 25% by weight of the particularly preferred acidic alkyl polyglycol ether phosphates in the composition, a pH of approximately 3.9 can be achieved (0.1% solution), and with a proportion of only approximately 5%, the pH increases -Value of the agent to 6.75 (0.1% solution). In order to obtain the low pH value desired in the composition according to the invention, the proportion of acidic alkyl polyglycol ether phosphates in the composition should therefore be at least 18% by weight and preferably 25% by weight.
0032Alkyl polyglycol ether phosphate together with water forms a hard, sticky, acidic white mass that is sticky and gradually rinses off.
0033An agent comprising only the alkyl polyglycerol ether phosphate is acidic and shows the desired cleaning action against lime and urine scale, but the surface tension and the foaming power of such an agent are low.
0034Further surfactants can be added to the agent according to the invention in order to improve the foaming power and to lower the surface tension. In a preferred embodiment, the agent according to the invention for improving the foaming power has anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfates, which in particular from the group of ammonium fatty alcohol ether sulfates with preferably C12-C18Alkyl residues and 1 to 6 EO can be selected. A particularly preferred anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfate is triisopropanolammonium fatty alcohol ether sulfate with 1,2 propylene glycol, which is available, for example, from Zschimmer & Schwarz under the trade name Zetesol TP 300.
0035This anionic surfactant is characterized by a very high foaming power and a low surface tension, it reacts neutrally in aqueous solution, also adheres well to the surface in combination with water and can be rinsed off gradually.
0036The proportion of these anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfates should on average be up to 60% by weight, preferably between 10% by weight and 40% by weight and particularly preferably between 15% by weight and 25% by weight.
0037In the context of the present invention, it was found that when the acidic adhesive agent according to the invention is used together with the anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfate, an acidic, highly adhesive agent which can only be rinsed off gradually after a large number of rinsing processes is obtained, which moreover foams and cleans well, since it has a low surface tension. In addition, the desired acidic pH of the agent can be set and the acidic properties of the agent can thus be adapted to the required descaling performance. Another advantage of this combination of the two surfactants is that both develop the desired adhesive effect on the wet and dry surface.
0038The ratio of the acidic alkyl polyglycol ether phosphates to anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfate is preferably between 1: 100 and 100: 1, preferably 1:10 and 10: 1.
0039Of course, instead of the anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfate it is also possible to add another good foaming and good cleaning surfactant, such as amphoteric surfactants.
0040The agent according to the invention can further comprise other surfactants, solvents, fragrances, dyes, disinfectants, preservatives such as, for example, isothiazolone derivatives or foam stabilizers such as coconut fatty acid mono / diethanolamide or alkylamine oxides, provided the additives are stable under acidic conditions.
0041Another advantage of the agent according to the invention is that it has a high perfume absorption capacity and can have a perfume content of greater than or equal to 8%. The composition usually comprises between 2% and 15% by weight and preferably between 4% and 10% by weight of perfume oil.
0042The adhesion promoters according to the invention, such as, for example, the preferred anionic alkyl polyglycol ether sulfate, form, when water is added, a modeling clay-like substance which thickens more and more with increasing water content, then reaches a viscosity maximum. After this maximum, the viscosity decreases again when more water is added.
0043The formulations according to the invention are preferably set so that the mass has not yet reached the maximum viscosity, ie that the mass, for example on the toilet bowl, continues to thicken and solidify when rinsed for the first time.
0044The lower viscosity of the agent that may be required for the application can be adjusted, for example, by adding polar solvents such as glycerol, alcohols such as methanol or ethanol, but also nonpolar solvents such as the typical perfume solvents or even perfume oil itself. The higher the proportion of non-aqueous solvents in a mass, the more liquid the agent becomes.
0045The concentration of water is generally between 20% by weight and 80% by weight, preferably between 30% by weight and 60% by weight and particularly preferably between 40% by weight and 50% by weight.
0046The proportion of non-aqueous solvents (including perfume oil) in the composition is generally between 0.2% by weight and 20% by weight, preferably between 1% by weight and 15% by weight and particularly preferably between 2% by weight and 14% by weight .%.
0047The ratio of surfactant: water is preferably between 0.9: 1 and 1.2: 1, and the ratio of surfactant: total solvent (including perfume oil) is preferably between 0.7: 1 and 1.1: 1.
0048In principle, all known anionic and cationic or amphoteric surfactants can be used as further surfactants.
0049Anionic surfactants used are, for example, those of the sulfonate and sulfate type. The surfactants of the sulfonate type are preferably C9-13Alkylbenzenesulfonates, olefin sulfonates, that is to say mixtures of alkane and hydroxyalkanesulfonates, and also disulfonates such as are obtained, for example, from C12-18Monoolefins with terminal or internal double bond by sulfonation with gaseous sulfur trioxide and subsequent alkaline or acidic hydrolysis of the sulfonation products is considered.
0050Also suitable are alkanesulfonates derived from C12-18-Alkanes, for example by sulfochlorination or sulfoxidation with subsequent hydrolysis or neutralization. The esters of α-sulfofatty acids (ester sulfonates), for example the α-sulfonated methyl esters of hydrogenated coconut, palm kernel or tallow fatty acids, are also suitable.
0051Other suitable anionic surfactants are sulfonated fatty acid glycerol esters. Fatty acid glycerol esters are to be understood as meaning the mono-, di- and triesters and their mixtures as obtained in the production by esterification of a monogylcerol with 1 to 3 moles of fatty acid or in the transesterification of triglycerides with 0.3 to 2 moles of glycerol. Preferred sulfonated fatty acid glycerol esters are the sulfonation products of saturated fatty acids having 6 to 22 carbon atoms, for example caproic acid, caprylic acid, capric acid, myristic acid, lauric acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid or behenic acid.
0052The alkali and in particular the sodium salts of the sulfuric acid semiesters of C12-C18Fatty alcohols, for example from coconut fatty alcohol, tallow fatty alcohol, lauryl, myristyl, cetyl or stearyl alcohol or the C10-C20-Oxo alcohols and those half-esters of secondary alcohols of this chain length are preferred. Also preferred are alk (en) yl sulfates of the chain length mentioned, which contain a synthetic, petrochemical-based straight-chain alkyl radical which have a degradation behavior similar to that of the adequate compounds based on oleochemical raw materials. Also 2,3-alkyl sulfates, which are commercially available from Shell Oil Company under the name DAN® Suitable anionic surfactants can be obtained.
0053The sulfuric acid monoesters of the straight-chain or branched C ethoxylated with 1 to 6 mol of ethylene oxide7-21Alcohols, such as 2-methyl-branched C9-11-Alcohols with an average of 3.5 moles of ethylene oxide (EO) or C.12-18-Fatty alcohols with 1 to 4 EO are suitable.
0054Other suitable anionic surfactants are also the salts of alkylsulfosuccinic acid, which are also referred to as sulfosuccinates or as sulfosuccinic acid esters and which are monoesters and / or diesters of sulfosuccinic acid with alcohols, preferably fatty alcohols and in particular ethoxylated fatty alcohols. Preferred sulfosuccinates contain C8-18-Fatty alcohol residues or mixtures of these. Particularly preferred sulfosuccinates contain a fatty alcohol residue which is derived from ethoxylated fatty alcohols, which are nonionic surfactants in themselves. Again, sulfosuccinates, the fatty alcohol residues of which are derived from ethoxylated fatty alcohols with a narrow homolog distribution, are particularly preferred. It is also possible to use alk (en) ylsuccinic acid with preferably 8 to 18 carbon atoms in the alk (en) yl chain or salts thereof. The anionic surfactants can be in the form of their sodium, potassium or ammonium salts and also as soluble salts of organic bases, such as mono-, di- or triethanolamine. The anionic surfactants are preferably in the form of their sodium or potassium salts, in particular in the form of the sodium salts.
0055According to the invention, particularly preferred fatty alcohol ether sulfates, alkyl sulfates, alkyl benzene sulfonates and / or alkane sulfonates are used as anionic surfactants.
0056The optional additional perfume substances are those that are common from the prior art. Mixtures of natural and synthetic fragrances are mentioned as examples. Natural fragrances are extracts of flowers (lily, lavender, rose, jasmine, neroli, ylang-ylang), stems and leaves (geranium, patchouli, petitgrain), fruits (anise, coriander, caraway, juniper), fruit peel (bergamot, lemon, Oranges), roots (mace, angelica, celery, cardamom, costus, iris, calmus), woods (pine, sandal, guaiac, cedar, rosewood), herbs and grasses (tarragon, lemongrass, sage, thyme), Needles and twigs (spruce, fir, pine, mountain pine), Resins and balms (galbanum, elemi, benzoin, myrrh, olibanum, opoponax). Animal raw materials, such as civet and castoreum, are also suitable. Typical synthetic fragrance compounds are products of the ester, ether, aldehyde, ketone, alcohol and hydrocarbon type. Fragrance compounds of the ester type are, for example, benzyl acetate, phenoxyethyl isobutyrate, p-ter.-butylcyclohesyl acetate, linalyl acetate, dimethylbenzylcarbinylacetate, phenylethyl acetate, linalyl benzoate, benzyl formate, ethyl methylphenyl glycinate, allyl cyclohexyl benzyl propylatepionate, allyl cyclohexyl propyl pionate. The ethers include, for example, benzyl ethyl ether, the aldehydes, for example, the linear alkanals having 8 to 18 carbon atoms, citral, citronellal, citronellyloxyacetaldehyde, cylamen aldehyde, hydroxycitronellal, lilial and bourgeonal, the ketones, for example, the jonones, α-isomethyl ions and methyl cedryl ketone the terpene alcohols menthol, anethole, citronellol, eugenol, isoeugenol, geraniol, linalool, nerol, phenylethyl alcohol, tetrahydromyrcenol and terpineol, The hydrocarbons mainly include the terpenes and balms. However, preference is given to using mixtures of different fragrances which together produce an appealing fragrance.
0057Essential oils of lower volatility, which are mostly used as aroma components, are also suitable as perfume oils, for example sage oil, chamomile oil, clove oil, lemon balm oil, mint oil, cinnamon leaf oil, linden blossom oil, juniper berry oil, vetiver oil, oliban oil, galbanum oil, labolanum oil and lavandil oil. Preferably, bergamot oil, dihydromyrcenol, lilial, lyral, citronellol, phenylethyl alcohol, α-hexylcinnamaldehyde, geraniol, benzyl acetone, cyclamen aldehyde, linalool, Boisambrene Forte, Ambroxan, indole, hedione, Sandelice, lemon oil, mandarin oil, orange oil, allyl amyl glycolate, Cyclovertal, lavandin oil, muscatel , Sage oil, β-damascone, geranium oil bourbon, cyclohexyl salicylate, Vertofix Coeur, Iso-E-Super, Fixolide NP, Evernyl, Iraldein gamme, phenylacetic acid, geranyl acetate, benzyl acetate, Rose oxide, Romillat, Irotyl and Floramat used alone or in mixtures.
0058The amount of the dosage depends on the desired fragrance intensity and is preferably in the range from 5% by weight to 20% by weight, particularly preferably from 6% by weight to 8% by weight. The fragrances are particularly preferably acid-stable.
0059It is also possible to add olefin sulfonates, ether sulfates and / or surfactants, in particular acid methyl taurides, to the agent according to the invention as foaming agents with a self-cleaning effect.
0060In order to prevent the agent from drying out, the agent can additionally preferably also contain between 5 and 15% by weight, aliphatic di-, oligo- or polyhydroxy compounds or their ethers or the compound (s) from the group glycerol, 1,3-dihydroxypropane, 1,3- or 1,4-dihydroxybutane, 1,3-dihydroxyisobutane and / or pentaerythritol.
0061If desired, salts, such as sodium sulfate, can also be added to the formulation in order to achieve the
0062Increase dissolution rate. The salt content can be up to 10% by weight, preferably up to 5% by weight.
0063The agent according to the invention can be applied and renewed in a hygienic manner without touching possibly contaminated devices connected to the toilet bowl.
0064An essential advantage of the agent according to the invention is that it can be portioned according to the wishes of the consumer. If the consumer desires more intensive cleaning or if the toilet is used frequently, the dosage can be increased accordingly.
0065The agent according to the invention can also be applied in a simple manner simultaneously to different places on the sanitary object, for example in order to achieve a uniform cleaning effect both on the right and on the left side of a toilet bowl.
0066The adhesion achieved to the sanitary object is so good, even when it is attached to a vertical surface, that the agent does not become detached even under the additional force of flushing water.
0067The sanitary agents according to the invention can only be rinsed off after a large number of rinsing processes. The number of flushing operations is of course dependent on the composition of the respective sanitary agent, the amount applied and the geometry of the sanitary agent applied.
0068The agent according to the invention is preferably an ointment-like pasty, cream-like or gel-like mass, the gel-like mass in particular being liquid-crystalline and preferably having a hexagonal structure. The gels are essentially dimensionally stable so that they do not "run down" or "drip".
0069The gels can preferably be introduced into the toilet bowl via tubes, comparable to toothpaste tubes, syringes or cartridges, and remain there for a large number of successive flushing processes.
0070The on a Haake viscometer, plate-cone system, PK 5 1 ° sensor, shear rate of 25 s-1 and 20 ° C viscosities of these pasty gels are at least 15,000 mPas. Usually they should be at least 50,000 mPas, preferably at least 90,000 mPas and particularly preferably at least 110,000 mPas.
0071When a strip of 4-6 cm in length, 2 cm in width and 0.3-0.5 cm in thickness is applied, the number of rinses of the agent according to the invention is between approximately 40 and 180.
0072The agents according to the invention are preferably transparent.
0073The invention is described in more detail below using exemplary embodiments.
1. Preparation of the agent according to the invention
0074To prepare the agents according to the invention, water is placed at a temperature T> 80 ° C. and the acidic adhesion promoter according to the invention and, if appropriate, further surfactant and solvent are added and stirred. A kneadable mass is obtained. When adding the Phosfetal, the mass "falters" and has an almost waxy consistency.
0075After cooling slightly, the heat-sensitive perfume, which should preferably be acid-stable, is added and the surface tension and the number of rinses are determined.
0076If desired, a dye, for example a 1% aqueous rhodamine EB4 solution, can also be added during production.
0077The mass should be degassed to increase the transparency of the agent and to avoid the inclusion of air bubbles.
0078The desired number of foams and surface tension can be set using the amount of fatty alcohol ether sulfate (such as Zetesol).
0079The thickening in the phosfetal / water system initially increases with the addition of water, the thickening has a maximum and then decreases again with the further addition of water.
0080The consistency of the agent can be adjusted by adding water or other solvents such as polar solvents (alcohols, PEG 300, PEG 400) or perfume.
0081During manufacture, the mass is adjusted so that the maximum viscosity has not yet been reached.
0082The mass thickens after production after the addition of further water (continues to gel). In order to be able to apply the thickened mass from an applicator, the mass to be filled in is diluted with non-aqueous solvent such as alcohol or perfume (setting agent). The first time the mass is flushed in the toilet bowl, non-aqueous solvent is successively replaced by water. This causes the mass to thicken to the maximum viscosity.
0083The mass obtained can be applied to a dry or moist surface using a normal applicator, adheres there and can only be rinsed off after a large number of rinsing processes.
0084The mass obtained in this way is acidic, ie it dissolves limescale and urine scale, and is a transparent gel.
2nd Recipes
0085In <b>Table I</b> various formulations of the agents prepared are put together, formulations 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 are according to the invention. This table also contains information about the consistency, the adhesive behavior, the number of rinses, the pH value, the surface tension and the foam numbers of the respective agents.
0086The anionic surfactant Phosfetal 205, available from Zschimmer & Schwarz, was used as an acid coupling agent. The pH of a 1% solution is 2. The alkyl group is a C14-C18 group, the "polyglycol ether" group has between 1 and 3 glycol units.
0087Triisopropanolammonium fatty alcohol ether sulfate with 1,2-propylene glycol (TIPA-Laureth Sulfate (and) Propylene Glycol), which is available from Zschimmer & Schwarz under the trade name Zetesol TP 300, was used as the anionic fatty alcohol ether sulfate. The fatty alcohol residue has between 12 and 14 carbon atoms and is ethoxylated with 2.5 - 3 EO. The 2% aqueous solution of this surfactant is neutral (pH 7).
0088Orange Fun, available from Givaudan, was used as the perfume.
3rd Determination of foam numbers and surface tension
0089To determine the foam numbers, transfer 100 ml of the stock solution, which is heated to 20 ° C, into a 250 ml mixing cylinder and seal with a PTFE stopper. Then the cylinder is swung back and forth twenty times (upside down 20 times). After 30 seconds, 5 minutes and 30 minutes, the foam volume (ml) generated is read off and noted.
0090The surface tension was determined using the BP2 device from Krüss bubble pressure measuring devices.<tables id="tabl0001" num="0001"><img file="EP2597948B1_D0002.tif" /></tables><tables id="tabl0002" num="0002"><img file="EP2597948B1_D0003.tif" /></tables>
