An exhaust aftertreatment device, comprising:an inlet (122) and an outlet (124);a main housing body (128) between the inlet and the outlet, said main housing body (128) having a first center axis;a mixing tube (130) having a first portion (136) within the main housing body (128) and extending over the full height of said main housing body (128), and a second portion (138) projecting outwardly from the main housing body, the first portion defining a plurality of apertures (137), the second portion forming the outlet, said mixing tube (130) having a second center axis;a swirl structure;a doser (140) that dispenses reactant into the mixing tube (130);and an exhaust aftertreatment substrate (129) positioned within the main housing body (128) at a location between the inlet (122) and the first portion (136) of the mixing tube (130);wherein the swirl structure is configured to swirl exhaust around the first portion (136) of the mixing tube (130), wherein the swirl structure includes a deflector baffle (150) positioned between the substrate (129) and the first portion (136) of the mixing tube (130), characterized in that the deflector baffle (150) is configured to cause the exhaust to flow circumferentially in one direction around at least 270 degrees of the exterior of the outer diameter of the first portion (136) of the mixing tube (130);in that the deflector baffle (150) extends fully across a diameter of the mixing tube (130) and extends over the full height of the main housing body (128);in that the deflector baffle (150) has a flat portion and a bent portion, said flat portion extending from the main housing body (128) and said bent portion extending from said flat portion, and said bent portion being directed away from said flat portion in downstream direction, said bent portion being at a distance from said main housing body (128) so as to leave a gap between said bent portion and said main housing body (128);and in that the substrate (129) defines a third center axis (C), coinciding with said first center axis, that intersects the mixing tube (130) within the housing (128), whereby said third center axis (C) intersects said second center axis of said mixing tube (130).
