  1. 1
Apparatus for use with at least one implant (42), comprising:a tissue-engaging element having (a) a distal portion configured to engage at least a first portion of tissue of a patient, and (b) a proximal portion;at least one docking station (56) coupled to the proximal portion of the tissue-engaging element, the at least one docking station (56): being configured to receive and be coupled to the at least one implant (42), and comprising a locking mechanism (57) configured to lock the implant (42) to the docking station (56);and at least one guide member (40) reversibly coupled to the at least one docking station (56), the at least one guide member (40) being configured for facilitating slidable advancement of the at least one implant (42) toward the docking station (56).
  2. 5
The apparatus according to any one of claims 1-4, further comprising the implant (42).
  3. 9
The apparatus according to any one of claims 1-2, further comprising at least one flexible longitudinal member (74) coupled at a first portion thereof to the implant (42), wherein a second portion of the flexible longitudinal member (74) is configured to be coupled to a second portion of tissue of the patient, and wherein the implant (42) is configured to adjust a length of the longitudinal member (74) between the first and second portions of tissue.
  4. 15
The apparatus according to any one of claims 1-4, wherein:the implant (42) comprises a rotatable structure (46), coupled to a flexible longitudinal member (74), the rotatable structure (46) is bidirectionally rotatable to adjust a degree of tension of the flexible longitudinal member (74), and the at least one docking station (56) is configured to receive and be coupled to the rotatable structure (46).
