Abstract
A description is given of a carton (10) for producing a soft-ice mixture or the like which is frozen into a block. The carton has a circular base (12). Extending from the base (12) to an opening of the carton (10) is a lateral surface (18) which, at the opening, merges into a radially outwardly extending periphery (20). The carton (10), overall, is designed such that it can be taken apart for removal of the block by hand. For this purpose, a lid (22), which can be welded to the periphery (20), comprises a panel (22") which, following welding to the periphery (20), cannot be detached from the carton (10) without being destroyed. The lateral surface (18) has a tear-open strip (27) at a distance beneath the periphery, preferably approximately two thirds of the way up the carton (10). This ensures that the carton (10) is used, as envisaged, as a disposable carton, that is to say it is actually used only once and then disposed of.

p0030Invention, denoted in Fig. 1 with purple or IIIb,
p0031Fig. 4 is a longitudinal sectional view of a second embodiment of the cup according to the invention, which preferably here consists of paper or paperboard, and FIG. 5 shows in side view a third embodiment of the cup according to the invention.
p0032Figs. 1 and 2 show in side view and top view of a generally designated 10 first embodiment of a cup 10 of the invention, the od for producing and shipping a through frozen into a block smoothie mixture. Like. Is determined. The cup 10 has a circular bottom 12, a center axis extending through the center of which 14 of the cup. From the bottom 12 of an opening 16 of the cup 10 towards a steadily conically widening almond extends 18 The frozen into the cup 10 and shipping brought feedstock block (not shown) is intended for use in a single cup of a known device of the above mentioned type for further processing used to be. The inner contour of the cup 10 and thus the outer contour of the block should substantially correspond to the inner contour of such a work cup. If the contemplated work mug has a cylindrical inner contour, the cup 10 should be well trained, so instead of the flared skirt 18 comprise a cylindrical casing.
p0033At the upper end of the cup 10 of the casing 18 is at the opening 16 in a flange extending radially outward, planar edge 20 Ü calc. The edge 20 is for attachment of a (in Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) cover 22 certainly. The edge 20 is this so formed to the lid 22 with a film forming 22 'made of metal or plastic (not shown in FIG. 2) can be welded, as OD at yoghurt cups. Like. Is usual. The upper annular surface of the rim 20 has a particular configuration or coating, which provides for this purpose the production of a suitable welding, sealing or gluing.
p0034The cup 10 of the invention as a whole is designed so that it can be disassembled for removal of the block by hand. By the term "manually separable" is especially a disassembly meant without using a tool. In one embodiment of the invention is taken apart for bility of the cup 10 at least the shell 18 with at least one weakening line 24 or 26 is provided, as is indicated in FIG. 1. The line of weakness 24 of the sheath 18 extends helically between the bottom 12 and the opening 16. In FIG. 3b is a detail, shown enlarged, of the cup 10 is shown, which is designated in FIG. 1 IIIb. In Fig. 3b it is seen that the weakening line 24 of the jacket 18 is formed as a V-shaped groove 28. Where the groove extends 28, the shell of the cup 18 is readily manually separable. The assembly and the formation of the groove 28 are however made such that the cup 10 a has in the initial state for the production of frozen starting mixture and of shipping the frozen block starting mixture sufficient strength and rigidity. The same applies 18 are prepared for the choice of the material from which the bottom 12 and the mantle. In the cup 10 described herein may be, for the material chosen, be plastic as od in a conventional yogurt cups. Like. Instead of or in addition to the helical line of weakness 24, the jacket may comprise 18 lines of weakness 26, which extends parallel to the central axis 14 of the cup 10 extend. The lines of weakness 26 may be made cross-sectionally V-shaped grooves such as the groove 28 as the line of weakness 24 from. The weakening lines 24 and 26 respectively extend on the underside of the rim 20, so that as well as the rest of shell 18 easily by hand is divisible. The lines of weakness 26 run as the line of weakness 24 respectively between the bottom 12 and the opening 16 of the cup 10 is usually unnecessary to the bottom 12 to remove the frozen block also not to be disassembled. Therefore, it is usually sufficient, a line of weakness 30 of the jacket blank to run 18 at the transition between the jacket 18 and the bottom 12th Fig. 3a shows an enlarged scale detail of the cup 10, indicated in Fig. 1 with purple. Referring to Fig. 3a may be the wall of the shell 18 may be formed at the transition to the bottom 12 cross-sectionally V-shaped. Alternatively, a V-shaped groove as the groove 28 could be formed at the transition between the shell 18 and the base 12 to form the line of weakness 30th Suitably each food-safe plastic is of suitable strength for the preparation of the cup 10. Alternatively, or additionally, the cup also consist of food grade paper or paperboard. A second embodiment of a total of 40 designated cup according to the invention of paper or cardboard material is shown in Fig. 4. In the cup 40 are a bottom 12 'and a shell 18' as another scheduled, separate parts are formed which are sealed together in use of the cup 40, for. Example, by gluing or welding. The shell 18 'does not end in the opening 16 in a flange-like, flat edge, but is rolled up at the top in itself, so that a lid 22' on the cup 40 up klipsbar is. Accordingly, for securing the base 12 'of the shell 18' the latter being curled as shown at the bottom inside.
p0035The bottom 12 and the bottom 12 'each have at least one knob-like depression. In the illustrated embodiment, there are three knob-like depressions 32, 33 and 34. The knub-like indentations 32-34 are circular in cross section. Their centers are equally spaced on an imaginary circle around the central axis 14 of the cup 10 or 40. The or each knob-like recess has from the center axis 14 of the cup at a radial distance r, which is equal to half the radius R of the circular bottom 12 and 12 'is. The nipple-shaped recesses 32-34 are provided when the block is intended for use in a single cup of a known device of new generation, which also has such a nipple-shaped depressions.
p0036The cup 10 has a arranged at the outside of the jacket 18 between the underside of the rim 20 and the bottom 12 of the radial projection 36. The projection 36 is intended to prevent the cup 10 into a work cup or in an insulating insert, which is usually the working cup of the known device receives, can be introduced. For safety and hygiene reasons, namely, the known apparatus is to be operated in the dining area with a working cups of stainless steel. The cup 10 of the invention would it also not suitable because its higher hey its Nennfüllhöhe equivalent plus the aforementioned addition of about 10 mm, so that above the Nennfüllhöhe plus the surcharge in the cup there is no space in which od the rotating blade. like. the known device could be used. Instead of the flange, flat projection 36 of the cup can be connected to the shell 18 'with radially outwardly projecting knobs od. Like. Be provided. This solution is ideal for the cup 40, which consists of paper or cardboard.
p0037The cup 10 is made of plastic by conventional methods, eg., By injection molding or thermoforming. The cup 40 on the other hand inserted cup is like a typically od hot drinks such as coffee. Like. Prepared z. B. by wrapping the mantle 18 ', in the then the bottom 12' is inserted from the top to the shell 18 ' inside to be tightly connected. The bottom 12 'of the cup 40 has the same knob-like, downwardly projecting dimples, such as the recesses 32-34 of the cup 10, and therefore these indentations need not be described again with reference to the cup 40th
p0038Furthermore, the cup 40 may be provided with the same lines of weakness 24 and / or 26 as the cup 10 to facilitate disassembly of the cup 40th In paper or cardboard material, the lines of weakness would not consist of cross-sectionally V-shaped grooves, but advantageously not completely extending out through the wall of the shell 18 'or the bottom 12' "perforations". This could, in other words, the shape of lines that are formed from point, the material is not entirely penetrating wells.
p0039Fig. 5 shows in side view a third embodiment of is generally designated 10 cup according to the invention, which is also preferably made of plastic as the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. When the cup 10 of FIG. 5 but with the edge 20-sealable lid 22 not from a film 22 ', but from a plate 22', which can not be nondestructively releasable after welding to the rim 20 of the cup 10 bar. The plate may for example consist of the same material as the rest of the cup, preferably comprises but a precaution a slightly greater thickness than the remaining cup. It shall be in any case ensured that the plate 22 "after it is welded to the edge can not be disengaged from the rim, even with use of a suitable tool, without destroying the cup at this point. In the cup 10 to Fig. 5, the jacket 18 below the edge 20 in about two-thirds height of the cup 10 has at least an axis parallel to the bottom 12 weakened line 27a, along which the lid 22 adjacent part of the jacket 18 together with the cover 22 'from the remainder of sheath 18 is detachable. For ease of dissolving in the FIG. 5 embodiment shown, the jacket 18 in about two-thirds height of the cup 10 below the rim 20 has two parallel to the bottom 12 lines of weakness 27a, 27b, the one located on the circumference of the jacket 18 extending tear strip 27 form. The tear strip 27 is provided with an over the circumference of the jacket 18 above, with fingers grippable tab 29th Underneath the flap 29 of the shell 18 along the score lines 27a, 27b is closed, is so far from being pulled strongly to the lug 29th The weakening lines 27a, 27b may be formed as the lines of weakness 24 or 30 of Figs. 3b or 3a. If by means of the tear strip 27 of the upper part of the cup 10 including the cover 22 has been detached from the remaining part of the cup 10, the remaining rest of the cup 10 in the height is so low that it in no case more for the here intended purpose may be used. In the embodiment of the cup 10 of FIG. 5 ensures best that the cup 10 is in fact so used as disposable cups only once, so that compliance with the hygiene regulations is ensured.
