  1. 1
A medical device (10), comprising:an elongated tubular member (28) having a length, an inner surface (40) defining a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end, the tubular member (28) including a monolithic body having a length and including a plurality of slots (30) formed therein;a tubular liner (32) disposed within the elongated tubular member (28), the liner (32) having a length, an outer surface (34), and an inner surface (36) defining a lumen (38), wherein the outer surface (34) is spaced from the inner surface (40) of the tubular member (28) such that a space (42) is defined therebetween;and a plurality of discrete bonding members (44;144;244) disposed in the space (42) and attaching the elongated tubular member (28) to the tubular liner (32), wherein each of the plurality of bonding members (44;144;244) is within 15 centimeters or less of an adjacent bonding member (44;144;244) along the length of the tubular member (28), and wherein at least some of the bonding members (44;144;244;344) extend only partially circumferentially about at least a portion of the liner (32).
  2. 3
The medical device of any of claims 1-2, wherein a first group of bonding members is defined that includes two or more bonding members that extend only partially circumferentially about the liner and are disposed at the same axial position along the liner.
  3. 5
The medical device of any of claims 1-4, wherein a first group of bonding members are disposed along a first portion of the liner, a second group of bonding members are disposed along a second portion of the liner, and wherein the first group and the second group have a different number of bonding members.
  4. 6
The medical device of any of claims 1-5, wherein the bonding members increase in frequency along the length of the liner.
  5. 7
The medical device of any of claims 1-5, wherein the bonding members decrease in frequency along the length of the liner.
